Sen report nasri told arsenal he wants to leave

Believable1 Unbelievable2

08 Jul 2011 22:47:47
Looks like we're missing out on samir nasri according to goal.com. Apparently the #noisyneighbours have agreed terms with arsenal and a 22 million pound bid has been accepted.

This is a shame as sir bobby was on ssn pleading for him to come. This made me sure that he would be coming. Now I doubt we will sign anyone.

What do you think about the situation ed and who if anyone do you think we'll sign?

One of these in

Nasri
Sneijder
Schweinsteiger

Whos your pick ed? {Ed001's Note - has to be Schwieny, he is an absolutely brilliant central midfielder who can play the defensive role and attacking role. He is a top class player.}

So really i couldn't give an obese rodents rectum about city

dear mr rincewind
nice name btw
ngiak totally agrees with you
they already have players like adebayor, tevez and Bellamy slagging them
and Bellamy saying no one could afford their wages
and that he would not leave for lesser pay
so they can't get new players nor can they sell their existing players who hate them
implosion material
the suspicious thing is why would someone invest so much on a ship that's about to self destruct
very suspicious

according to sky sports italia man city have reach an agreement to sign samir nasri from arsenal for 22m. I think this is good news for man utd because we are getting sneijder and nasri will be another adebayor

Nasri has told Arsenal he wants to leave. Stage one complete.

Now we need him to choose to join us (stage two) and then for Arsenal to accept a bid from us (stage three).

Sydney!

Wenger has offered £110k a week instead £90k to Nasri, so we will see if it was all about the money or if he still pushes a move to us get the same money if not more and win the lot.

Rio, carrick and fletcher now seem to be picking up more and more injuries. Giggs is now 37. We have lost Hargreaves, brown, o'shea, scholes Neville and (looks like) gibson who all played a part last season.

Surly united way has always been strength in depth.

While the first 11 remains strong will really feel injuries.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

08 Jul 2011 20:25:22
Anyone else worried thabout our central midfield? We missed out to the scousers on Henderson - lost scholes Hargreaves and o'shea and never even tabled a bid for Adam.

Hate to say it but Gerrard, Adam and Lucas would walk into our midfield while were signing Jones and young to cover position that don't need strengthening. Nani is better than young and smalling is better than Jones.

At least we signed a goal keeper

The £300m is shirt deal and stadium naming rights all rolled into one. It does not represent fair value, but I have heard that it's within the guidelines so it won't be questioned by FIFA. They still need to get the wage bill down by a considerable amount though.

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - I read somewhere that they had set the limit at 300m, hence that being the price paid.}

hey..this isnt a post regarding any rumours..

are any of the ed's or members based in manchester.. I am student here from India.. been following the site since early 2010.. going to be here for probably two more months..
Just wondered where ardent united supporters normally hang out..pubs, bars, etc? always wanted to be in one of those places and talk and learn a bit more about United history..

Rudi {Ed001's Note - I am not based in Manchester, but then I am not a United ed, just covering while none are about, but I believe Ed012 is Manchester based.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I personally think carrick is a class act and would have flourished more if not playing the defensive.if u remember in his great partnership with scholes from2006-2009 he was allowed more freedom to attack it after the Rome debacle in which he disappeared was he told to hold the mid role partly combined with scholes inability to play week in week out.I think he is one of the best passers in the world.surely in the league with with xavi's n alonso's.what they do for respective clubs carrick does for us.would like reply from all.ed??Sydney??

Okay, I tried to post this earlier, but I didn't see it anywhere, so here goes again. Does anyone else feel that this was the team United were hoping to have next season?
De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Modric Carrick
Sanchez Rooney Young
Chicharito
I think United were hoping to bring in De Gea, Modric, Young and Sanchez. Obviously Barcelona look favourites for Sanchez, and the Nasri situation has changed things, but I believe this was the aim for the summer. What do you think?

Who cares what city do?

I'm not overly worried about them. It'll all blow up in their faces before long.

They only won the FA Cup after a favour from the FA in getting Rooney banned for the game. Wouldn't have happened to anyone else.

They already have loads of players they bought for too much money who they handed stupid wage packets, who they now don't want but can't shift.

There already filling their squad with more mercenaries whilst some of their better mercenaries want to leave.

They'll end up desperatly chasing champions league glory and end up having a league mare.
personally i'd love it if they got barca would be funny to seem destroyed at camp nou.

It'll all bang at some point no matter how much money they throw at it.

Bloomberg are reporting that City's naming rights deal is worth 300m GBP over 10 years. Nothing dodgy about that then. The FFP get arounds begin. Watch for Chelsea securing Russian sponsors soon I hope Uefa are going to take early control of this situation, but I doubt it {Ed002's Note - You obviously have not read the FFP rules have you.}

So so so way off the mark it's unbelievable. If I was Charlton I would boycott SSN and never talk to them again.

with O'shea gone who is going to be the versatile defender we need? o'shea could play along the back four and in midfield. who's going to step in to fill his boots because no doubt we will need someone like that as around christmas time our defence seem to pick up injurys left right and centre. i know phil jones can play right back aswell as centre. could fergie be easing some young defenders into the first team? as you all know nasri rumours are picking up pace and would rather have him than sniejder as hes EPL proven and cheaper in the long run and can only improve, any news on rodwell? defour? de rossi seems to have dropped off to trail. we really need a holding midfielder and NOT Lass diarra would be a complete waste.. to much baggage.

BTW great site long term admirer .. my first post :) much thanks

for some reason now united are only focusing on nasri whivh is stupid cos if nasri fais we need to have other plans on the go don't we?"""
dear unnamed sir
you are worried this website is focussed on the player, or the club?
well, a reality check, sir, and many others here, is that this site does not contain any of the decision makers for the club, let alone those who decide who we are going to sign
ngiak apologises for bursting your bubble.
but just like jones,
sir alex does his business his own way, his own time
maybe people here are on a frenzy cos arsenal are leaving on a preseason tour
that we are even going for nasri, sneijder and sanchez is pure speculation, fuelled by the frenzy of a few buys so far,
only on this site and the gossip papers
the last count is that there are 15 players CERTAIN to sign for man united
we wonder why...

Not much talk anywhere, but IMO why dnt we go for aguero. Hes def leaving looks like juve im sure if we put an offer in hed come our way . Hes young fast tricky and can score . Hed def be a better player surrounded by players we have. Obviously SAF not interested in the player as we have not been linked with him. I can see city snapping him up with departure of tevez. Just wish wed go for him. Casseddy

Speaking to many arsenal fans they seem to think if cesc goes nasri will stay to play in his prefered CAM postion. Cesc looks likely to depart for 38mil plus add ons so they say. But majority feel that nasri wont leave and sign a new contract when cesc leaves and he sees the other signings wenger makes. They do say that if he does leave if will be for utd not city or chelsea. Believe of this what you want . . . i hope this for our sake is untue

So, it has been confirmed that Wastelands is to be renamed the Etihad Stadium after the agreement of a £100+ million naming rights agreement. So what are all true football fans going to call the stadium?

How about "FootyBad Stadium"?
Or "Death 1 stadium"?

I am sure you can do better than my feeble attempts

Caughtoffside.com now claims that United will test Spurs' resolve to hold onto the Croatian by offering Dimitar Berbatov, Jonny Evans, £12million.

That is absolute Bulls**t...
Yes we can offer Berbatov and 12M, but not johnny Evans.
But on the other side, will spurs take berbatov back.?I dont think so..I know at some point this month Berbatov has to leave, but it wont be to any premiership club, ..He go either to France or Germany, ...or may be spain(valencia).

RedArmy7"""
dear mr redarmy7
ngiak agrees with you that caughtoffside are usually 100% wrong with their gossip
why cant we offer jonny evans?
we have smalling and jones
and spurs need a centreback who is not injured all the time
(not that evans is not injury prone... wait, that could be their criteria for choosing him in the first place)
and if ngiak is not mistaken,
spurs did mention that they were interested in berbatov
(or did ngiak read that from caughtoffside? :))
strong words of retort dear mr redarmy7
hope you dont get to eat your own words at a later date...

Sorry to see such a magnificent players leave (O shea and Brown)...I want to thank them for the time they spent at Old Trafford. Those two are real fighters, I hope we won t miss them on the pitch and that Jones and Smalling can jump in their boots. I felt the same way when Phil Neville left. Daz

---------------

SAF is not needed to finalize our deals. He tells the board (Glazers/Gill) which players he wants and the staff trys to get them. Even Gill is not needed to put his name under a contract, because there are enough other people who are authorized to do so.

Expect the Nasri deal to be done at the end of the week.

For the amount we paid for him, surely he would start more? He cost us the FA cup for sure this year and i dont think there is an arguement there. Yes he played extremely well v schalke. But i do not think he has the drive and determination to be a true united player. Im sure if he did he would start more games like scholesy and fletcher. I dont know about you but i like my players to have passion and drive, not sideways passes
