And heres Ozone with his favorite saying "Casino Economics", are you able to write a post where you don't say it? lol. I'll tell you what Ozone mate lets agree to come back to this discussion on our finances in 5 years time when we've won 3/4 more titles and been to a couple more Champions league finals as well as adding the odd FA or league cup into the bargin and we'll see how the health of our finances are then while also having a look how yours are and whether the return of Arragon sorry Kenny has brought you the success you keep praying it will.

------------------------------------------------

No problem Shappy, you are reaching saturation point in terms of marketing potential, there really isn't much else you can do to generate more revenue in order to make a profit with your debt burden.

The Red Knight consortium valued Utd at no more than a £1 billion. This is a group of businessmen who in no doubt undertook a detailed appraisal. The fact that the Glazers are resorting to the Hong Kong stock exchange in an attempt to inflate Utds worth and avoid relinquishing more of the company than they would otherwise like too, speaks volumes of what you lot are all about. Just because you have a fan base over there (impressionable youngsters seduced by your corporate cafe bars, your no different to Mcdonalds) it doesn't mean that investment funds are naively going to throw money at you out of misguided giddy support.

You won't win the league this year, your noisey neighbours will. In fact you'll be in a four way battle with us, Chelsea, and Spurs for 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. You'll get no further than the quarter finals of the Champions League and I can't see you having a run in one of the cups.

Your going to get a good whupping on saturday at Anfield sunshine and Rooney will get sent off because of his playground petulance. He's your only world class player and without him your average, as has been seen recently.

Compare this to clubs like Liverpool with no end in sight to their location issue, and no way at all of monetizing their smaller fan base.

------------------------------------------------

I think you need to check who is the most successful club in English football Vulcan before you start coining phrases such as 'monetizing their smaller fan base'.

We don't need Cafe Bars in far flung regions of Asia so that ex captains can scurry around trying to do dodgy deals with rich businesmen in a vain effort to cream off a hefy finders fee for doing nothing more than swindling 'provincial' fans (as you put it) out of their football clubs.

Now i know alot of you won't believe me on this and will proberley think i'm nuts, but i think we are 3 young english players away from dominating world football for the next 10 years. If we sign Matthew Briggs, Wilfried Zaha and Jack Rodwell then we will be complete. If those players are signed the squad starting the 2014/2015 season would look like this:

________________De Gea_______________

__Rafael____Smalling____Jones____Briggs__

___________Cleverley__Rodwell__________

_Nani__________________________Young_

________________Rooney______________

________________Welbeck______________

with a second team looking like this:

______________Johnstone______________

_Fabio_____Thorpe___Blackett_____Fryers_

__________Tunnicliffe__Pogba___________

_____Cole________Zaha______Morrison___

________________Keane_______________

with these four making up the 25 man squad:

Amos, Evans, Anderson, Hernandez

The oldest players there are Rooney and Young who would be 29/30 at the start of the season also we'd have 18 english players in that squad 1 frenchman, 3 brazilians, 1 spainard, 1 Mexican and a Northern Irelander. The only other Change i could see is if Anderson isn't living upto his potential then he could be moved on with someone like Bannan arriving in his place.

Let me know what you think.

Does anyone think Marchisio would be the man for us? I'm not convinced myself but i'd like someone to prove me wrong..?

We don't really have a techy forum so i thought i'd ask my fellow United fans.

Which would be the better option? Iphone 4 or Samsung Galaxy?

I'm aware that the Iphone 5 is out in Summer but contract expires soon and need to get sorted out now. Also don't fancy the option of getting something functional and waiting till sumer for the I5.

Thanks. {Ed007's Note - Go for the Galaxy S2, that is the one I am planning to get. If you want Ed001 will explain the advantages of it over the iPhone, he is my 'technical advisor' or 'a geek' for short ;-)

Its believed that Juventus are inviting offers for Milos Krasic, do you think we should bid for him? I know people will say that 'we have enough wingers etc' but when Giggs leaves and Park swiftly follows you have to ask yourself that question again. He could take over from Park for me as he is a hard worker but has much more than just that to offer. He is very versatile and i could see him playing more centrally in the CL for us if we play Rooney up top alone in some games which we do like to do.

Please don't criticise this post without giving it some genuine thought first.

This page is dull as dishwater.
Anyway six more sleeps and then I will have great pleasure reading your excuse's how a ( how do you put) "average" Liverpool team inflict your 1st defeat of the season.

Enough of the England c**p please, its so dull, we're not going to do anything at the Euro's - we will field the same OLD players like Lampard and we'll get slaughtered.

Back to United:

I reckon that defence and in goal are sorted for now, we all know that. And i don't think we should spend huge right now, need to see whats going on with Cleverly, Anderson, Pogba etc. For that reason I think that Carrick will stay just to add a bit of cover and a little experience. For me a raid on Benfica would be good - Gaitan and Javi Garcia would fit right in. Also they know eachother's games and compliment eachother well. Gaitan would offer us cover on the left with a left footed player and also be a fantastic attacking midfielder in the center of the park. The introduction of these two would personify the new look, young, quick, presisng style that we rae championing.

Up top there is potential as we know with Keane, Macheda, Welbeck etc -Welbeck is already there and we have others breaking through. I very much doubt that Berbatov will be around past January, just can't see it. Owen might get another extension, but he has hinted at wanting/needing to leave which in my opinion is a shame. Diouf will go. Hopefully Bebe will get a go next season - he could come good in the end - you never know.

As a signing is concerned up top I could see Iturbe coming in - but i think he is more in the Rooney mould and will be given another season in Portugal to mature unless he does sensational things. Based on that either we go for a big signing like Higuain who would be amazing. A little less mobile than Chicha but he is so deadly. Or we go for Wolfswinkel who would be considerably cheaper and who has lots of potential.

As a side note, I'd love to see Joao Moutinho at the club - he can do it all and would certainly not go a miss in our team right now. For me Gaitan, Moutinho, Javi Garcia and Wolfswinkel would set up our squad excellently.

I would suggest a look at the following on youtube, its kinda funny.

Hitler - Carlos Tevez refuses to play, ruining his fantasy football team.

Has anybody any news regarding the flotation and the suspected cancellation due to an outside interest in buying United lock stock and barrel.

I read the other week that we can't be taken over by the Qatari's because they already own PSG. Well don't they own Malaga as well? I think the Glazers are with us for the long term and this is the reason why. If they raise 600m from a flotation of 25%, it will pay of the bond with I am led to believe is around 400m at the moment. That would leave United debt free for the financial fair play ruling and give them an extra 200m on top, whilst retaining control of the club.

I can't see why they would sell United to someone else, when they can effectively have bought something that has paid for itself. Whilst United qualify for the Champions League every season it makes no sense to sell. I firmly believe that this reported Qatari interest is a wind up by the press to try and see how United fans react to having the possibility of more money than City.

Like it or not United are a fantastically run club by the Glazers, who for me are also football fans. I think as well that this Green and Gold brigade are now beginning to realise this, and so is the rest of football. Our sponsorship deals have doubled under their tenure and we are one of the few clubs out there that make a profit, remarkable in this day and age when you look at the players we have and the wages we pay

M {Ed002's Note - The debt, bonds, PIKs, money lost down the back of the sofa etc are nothing whatsoever to do with and not impacted by the FFP rules.}

I made a point yesterday about bringing in Doumbia from CSKA Moscow, I was just wondering if anybody has seen him play? I personally think he's an incredible talent at only 23 to score in nearly every game for his last 2 games is an incredibly feat.

Ed, posters, etc. have you seen this lad play and what do you think of him?

The Moon. {Ed002's Note - I am not so sure that "to score in nearly every game for his last 2 games" is that much of an incredibly feat.}

I am so bored with all the England rubbish and i have no interest in bickering with Scousers. Let me bring you up to date with Morrison. The good news is he is now back training. He was sent home from training and told to stay away until sent for, but that matter has been sorted and we should see a lot more of him now. I got my ticket for the liverpool game along with a note from Sir Alex asking us to behave ourselves as lots of clubs are using it as an excuse to reduce our away allocation which is always brilliant and very vocal. But have no fear no matter how much they try they will not silence us as we rub 19 in their grubby little faces. Some bad news on the Barklay side, it appears that Chelsea and City are now seriously sniffing and are getting ready to get into a bidding war. It seems we are going to be out priced for him. Still we have 3 massive games coming up which will give us a clear view as to where we stand. We are due a good game at Anfield and i have a sneaky feeling about the boy Jones showing them why he is so special and getting on the score sheet. RAINFISHTROMBONE"""
dear mr rainfishtrombone
ngiak is sincerely impressed with your change in attitude towards this team and your general outlook
its great that you are able to harness your anger towards the betterment of the team on the pitch
rather than harping on things beyond our control and being disruptive
the team needs us, they are young
and we need them
you certainly speak much more sense and are much more interesting than the "i have 2 cents in the bank and owe one cent to my friend therefore i am rich by 2 cents" gang

We have £150m in the bank, only £50m-£60m of that goes towards the day to day running of the club for the year. The remainder of the cash is the Ronaldo cash and the AON advancement money, which is just sitting in the bank unused. I cannot be any clearer than that.

Sydney!

Didn't we spend 50 mil on jones young de gea?

Now i'm not normally a convayor of rumour more of opinion but i've been made aware of a couple of things by someone who lives in west london and who has links with several london clubs but most closely with Fulham. Now i would trust this person with my life so in my opinion what he tells me is as accurate as you can get. What he tells me is that United are very closely monitoring Matthew Briggs and have been for sometime, they first made contact with fulham when they were agreeing the Smalling deal having closely watched him thoughout his youth career. Now no deal has been agreed but untied are closely monitoring the situation.
Also Untied are very interested in another youngster at a london club, this is Wilfried Zaha who again can hardly play a game without a united scout present.

Now i'm not gonna garrentee that these young lads will sign just that we are very very interested in them, to a point where i would be surprised if we didn't at least throw our hat into the ring if they were to be sold. Also with the current level of scouting both these lads are getting to me would surgest a move sooner rather than later.

I'll keep you posted if i hear anymore.
