I definitely think that Nzonzi from Blackburn is the type of player that could offer us youth, presence, value for money and the type of box to box player that we are all wanting to see back in the team again. (Pogba pending) Personally I feel that all Evra needs is a bit of competition in order to get his concentration head on again and I personally feel that the guy may just be tired and a wee bit complacent about his place since being named captain. The Celtic L/B may be brought in to see to that tho. We are definitely a team in transition in terms of both tactics and experience. I have a feeling that Morrison from Wigan may be a surprise shout too. Watch this space I suppose but I would not expect too much to be spent!!

MOTD not even been on yet!

At this stage you dont need to give a name. We should just call you "personally" seeing you love the use of the word in all posts.

Personally speaking I think your rumours and personal opinions are shocking, every game seems to get someone on here shouting for a player that played well on the day. Give a shout for Any Carroll and Yakubu too while your at it :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha! Fair point there but bit harsh seeing as this was my first post. Do you really think that Nzonzi has only had 1 good game? That lad has been one of the best performers for Blackburn and I honestly believe that it is much harder to impose yourself in a team that is struggling. He lives within a commute from the club which would mean little change from a family perspective so why so unrealistic? I was giving an opinion which ticks 3 key boxes for SAF. 1. Youth 2.Value 3. Desire...The guy has all 3!!

Pete Busby (Not agent of Nzonzi...I promise!)

Hi Ed's, any chance of a few more options on our page like LFC's page, video's, extra rumours/banter... etc (and maybe even a club logo)?
Had a look at their page the other day and it's the first time I've been envious of anything to do with that club for at least 20 years.
Hopefully we have enough traffic?

Ps. you could even have a little section specifically for LFC supporters seeing as they are here fairly often, add to that arsenal also by the looks of it.

Supasub {Ed007's Note - I have passed on your suggestions to the geek squad.}

Why don't we just use their page, since they seem to like our page so much?

Just a week or maybe 2 ago, some of our very own supporters on this site were slating Rafa and that every other rb out there were better than him.Now some of that very supporters wants to sing his praise, as if he is the best thing since sliced bread.Rafa is an always will be one of the top 3 young rb coming through. No need to sell him even with his injuries. At 20-21 he is still worth that gamble. All I'm gonna say about Fabio is that just as good as Rafa is Fabio is better for me if just was'nt for his injuries and we having the enigmatic Evra at the top of his game when Fabio came through.Out of the twins Fabio is definetly better but Rafa has been more lucky with oppertunities coming his way.If we can keep them for the nxt 10 years we can have arguably the best RB and LB in the world in a few years time...Pls feel free to reply would like to know what my fellow supporters think....
Diego-06 {Ed007's Note - 'Rafa is an always will be one of the top 3 young rb coming through'......are you saying he will never age?}

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Ed, didn't know you?

The others lads call him Peter Pan. Fabio on the other hand, he will age at twice the speed of his brother, twins eh!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think they both have massive potential. Once they gain some big game experience they'll cut out the diving in to every challenge and turn into world class full backs

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always praised Rafael and Fabio..
They just havent had the oppurtunitys.

Theres 1 game that comes to mind for me,

The game against Bayern When Rafa got sent off.. Before he was sent off, he had Ribery in his back pocket, and out the two yellows one of them was a cardable offence, we had a really gd chance of winning that game when Rafa was on the pitch.

Just like most of our young talented players, he'll get slated at every opportunity by our spoiled brat fans who think that everyone should be a Ronaldo and be a world beater by the age of 21.

According to some fans on here, Ryan Giggs is "a joke", Welbeck is "very poor" and Paul Scholes should have stayed retired.

Whilst I agree that we aren't as strong as we would like, the future of the squad seems very promising, but it'll never be good enough for some people.
Some folk just like to find problems where there aren't any.

Both great going forward, neither can defend. Look good against Blackburn, Fulham etc but they struggle against decent wingers. Not good enough for top European opposition. United need to be on the look out for 2 quality full backs and 2 new central midfield players if they are going to compete with Barca, Real, Munich er al.

'Matt'

Both are excellent at defending. Are you blind? The only issue is their over excitement at times.

IMO Fabio is better than Rafael but unlucky due to injuries.

The only issues are there injuries , if bothh can stay fit and get a good run of games they will be top players

Matt has a fair point. In my opinion I don't think Rafa's game has matured as much as it should have considering he has been part of the first team for the past few seasons. He is good going forward but don't forget he's a defender first and is still prone to rash tackles, poor positioning and leaving gaps at the back when charging forward. E.g. against QPR he should have got booked for a needless challenge near the centre circle and how often has he charged forward and not chased back when he's lost the ball?

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to Matt, and some of what Mr. Noname states, you are flat out wrong. OK he is still a little rash in the tackle but he is young and that will be ironed out of his game.
However to say he cannot defend against decent wingers is a ridiculous statement. One of the most exciting and effective wingers of the last few seasons in the EPL, Gareth Bale, has been in Rafaels pocket every time they have been opponents.
Training with the likes of Toni, Young and Nani are just going to give finese to the twins game. Watch Rafael in his last few games and see how he has hugged the touchline giving Toni support as well as getting himself back when we lost the ball. Jones today did not do enough in that respect in the Wigan game, and I felt he was in fact scared to run past Toni on many occasions fearing the pace of their attack.
The twins will be some of the best FB in the world if they can cut out the injuries.

i think we definitely need to sign either a CAM or a ST, i think we rely to much on Rooney, yes he is pure class but he carries us through most games. An experienced striker or cam should come in this summer my choices would be; Ozil, RVP, Higuain, Hazard... And by experienced i mean proven at a big club or proven in their league so 2-3 season of playing good football.

Believable25 Unbelievable4

I totally agree, keep changing my mind as to whether we need a top striker to play ahead of Rooney or a top CAM to play in the hole with Rooney up front

Tbh I dont mind either way - I would be delighted if we got any one of the players you mentioned as well as a CM'er, LB and possibly Nathanial Clyne as competition for Rafael...that would be a very successful summer for us IMO

United are very close to signing Irish U16's star Noe Baba. Do not know much about him other than he is 15 and a centre-back. I said a year ago that we need CB's and strikers and since then we have signed Ioannou, Dalley & almost Baba. Striker wise we have signed no one yet so I expect a few between now and next season. Anderlecht U16's star Henen looks likely to be one of them.

He played CM when I have watched him play for Castlebar Celtic (his current team). I cousin knows him and he says the deal is 99% they are just ironing out what will be happening with the rest of his family.
