Hi Ed's
Read that Hummels would resist a move to every other club otherthan 2 or 3, one being Barca. Does United seem a good option to him? are we interested in him?
cheers
Rd27 {Ed002's Note - Barcelona seems a good option and they are interested.}

Believable5 Unbelievable5

United are one of the clubs that he would join.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hummells he's a good player but a bit of a headless chicken. if u look at the way he clears the ball he turns his back when going for headers and finds himself out of position for the second ball. iv watched him a few times. yeah he's good but I think there's better options.

Ed002 have you read the Marca story regarding falcao? Have we even shown a interest in the player it seems a rubbish story to me? {Ed002's Note - I have not read the story and I am not aware of interest. It is the time of the year when folks are fishing for interest in their players. They perhaps fear that some of teh Falcao interest has moved elsewhere, which means less leverage.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Marca are getting a bit of a reputation for talking rubbish, or plenty of people are accusing them of doing so anyway.

The only realistic part of the article is that they would want to block a move to Real, but I'm not convinced he's moving anywhere.

If he does, Chelsea or City would surely be front runners.

Agree0 Disagree0

Radamel Falcao would be a great signing as a bonus but anyone watching the game the other night would surely see where are problems exist - i. e. in midfield and down the flanks.
We have 3 windgers not up to the job and we need a strong arm in midfield - so let Fergie go out and sign Strootman and a new winger such as Rodriguez who is proven (Zaha is not). Offload Nani and Valencia. Then if there's money left consider a move for Falcao if they are interested in Hernandez. And that's is the whole Ronnie thing doesn't come to the table in the meantime.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie was keeping tracks on him when he was playing for riverplate when he was 22, think you signed berbatov instead at that point

Good evening. lads!

sure news : Manchester United to sign Falcao for 55m
Manchester United will sign Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid for 55 million this summer. United wanted to use Javier Hernandez as part of the deal, but Atleti are holding out for the full amount.

Well its not a definate a downpayment has been made of 42 million and it would seem the columbian would refer a move to manchester than chelsea don't want to lose hernandez though he's quality but can see nani, anderson and possibly rooney being sold in order to make the funds available for him and another big name signing

Ok i'll ask in a different format, and yes I have used the search tool, and i'll admit it may be wishful thinking on my part. Thiago Alcantara's dad said his son needed to move to get more first team football this was around the end of March. I have recently seen another couple of papers touting him with us. Does anyone know of any interest?

Believable4 Unbelievable5

According to Graham Hunter we have approached Barca and made some ground. He will be of interest in summer.

Agree0 Disagree1

Very interesting that Graham Hunter is saying we have made enquires he is not a bloke that talks crap and I know SAF rates the player he has talked about Thiago being a great young prospect and would like him but stated why would he leave Barca when he is probably going to replace Xavi one day soon, but if he is to leave we would be interested he ticks all the boxes does any of the Eds know anything more. Agree0 Disagree0

I'd agree that Graham Hunter is pretty genuine, Balague is the one that I find never gets anything right.

Agree1 Disagree0

Didn't we offer 15 million for him summer before last?

FALCAO to MANCHESTER UNITED?

If reports are accurate that Atletico Madrid have accepted that Falcao is leaving this Summer, and that their No. 1 target in terms of a replacement is Javier Hernandez, then I suppose it might be viable that if United were actually interested in Falcao (and who wouldn't be in fairness, as he's a smashing player), a potential exchange (with cash) could on the cards?

Perhaps I'm putting 2+2 together, but there just might be something in this?

Thought and comments welcome as always.

I'd rather keep Hernandez and swap Rooney

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't we give them Valencia, nani, Anderson and young instead? They're all useless and wouldn't fetch £10m between them.

Agree1 Disagree1

Its nota definate and I agree rooney and the rest should go their absalutley crap sell them buy falcao and james rodriguez from porto only time will tell but our intrest is genuin and why not chelsea and city do it to us its about time we did it back and beat them to a signature for once

Agree0 Disagree0

So that's Rooney. van Persia. well beck. little pea. lewondoski. and now falco. going to be a decent sub, s bench that's for sure. Attacking wise we are in good shape, it's the players behind the strikers were we need to work on and get some quality midfielders in. Rooney if still with us next season will be his old self, van persie will flourish with his first season for us out of the way. Kagawa hopefully will step upto the plate and find his form which we bought him for. Fergie knows the score and I'm sure in close season, there will be some exciting signings and a few departures which may raise an eye brow or two. rock the red.

Ed002 are we interested in Falcao? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Believable4 Unbelievable9

I think there might be some truth in this story. Isn't atletico Madrid interested in javier hernandez? Maybe a player plus cash for falcao? That player being Hernandez? Could this transfer happen? what do u all think? T45

Agree1 Disagree0

Marca claiming it's straight cash and a down payment already made. {Ed001's Note - Marca are the paper of Real Madrid, and Atletico are currently pushing Real Madrid very close for 2nd place. A cynic might suggest this is just an attempt to unsettle them ahead of the run in.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Very cynical Ed1! Most likely true too

i think ed's bang on marca is little more than the real fanzine. We don't need falcao. For the amount he'd cost we could get the two midfielders we need plus one other signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001, I agree that Marca are RM's paper and that this story is probably as real as the Lochness monster, but Atletico are certain he is leaving in the summer anyway so what would Marca/RM gain from this story?

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - just stirring the pot at a vital time, as United have shown absolutely no interest in him, well no intent to sign him is a better wording. I doubt there is a club in the world who wouldn't be interested in signing him if they could.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001, wouldn't it have stirred the pot more saying he is going to RM?

There are only a handful of clubs able to afford Falcao agreed. United being one of those clubs, however I do not think we will look to Falcao unless it's to replace the high profile Rooney. I still think Lewandowski is the striker we will sign.

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - no, it wouldn't, as they wouldn't deal with Madrid unless they were offering much more than any other club would pay.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But it still would have made a bigger stir than mentioning United. AM are well aware of him leaving in the summer, I cannot see how AM would give this story another thought. If anything the more interest in Falcao would mean more money for them as a bidding war (so to speak) could happen.

I don't think this is a ploy by RM, but I also do not think this story has any legs.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with syd falcao will prob be going to either city PSG or chelsea in my opinion. I think we need a fairly major changes in our midfield instead of thinking about our forwards. Anderson nani in particular need to be shipped out also young not impressing either not to mention the two legends of the club giggs and scholes will need replacing which will be next to impossible!REDWILL
