I think its part of our new defensive strategy. We seemingly can't sign a defender so we are going to play with 5 defensive midfielders to give cover for our defence. Also with 2 DM's in the heart of defence we should be good at passing out from the back. Lol.

Luton. me old friend. This is just how we played last year. only near end of season we went on a run playing 442. Van Gaal is he'll bent on possession football, that's evident with the players he has bought. imo we should be sounding out pep as our next manager.

Luton. No matter who van gaal buys next , it's his philosophy that worries me. I can count on one hand how many times fans left their seats in excitement at us going forward saturday . Long have the days gone when fans hardly sat down as we were on the attack most of the game.
I've just read a very good article on another website were the author questions van gaal in greater depth than I can , and believe me it's a good honest. Review of our manager . He don't like him either .
And yes maybe Pep may come or may not he may not even be the answer
But van gaal needs to stop thinking how good and clever he his , and start playing the man utd way , attacking , fearless , entertaining football .
We got outta jail free last season with other teams around us dipping in form . ,Don't think they will be as lenient this season.

I agree rock I don't like van gaal either I would rather have a manager that plays good fast attractive football the man u way Jurgen klopp stands out like a sore thumb to me.what we've got to realise is this guy's only here for a cpl of years and he's just after a quick fix we need s body that's gonae look after the future of the club
