Thiago and Strootman both have "gentleman" agreements to join, expected to sign after the Euros!

I hope so. That would be two cracking players at decent prices. The pair for about a Fernandinho?

Dont forget though fergie once had an agreement to sign gazza and he ended up at spurs. wonder how good he would have been under fergies watchful eye.

Hope not. Footballers are anything but gentlemen. Two good games and they'll be off to Madrid their agents smiling all the way to the bank. Would love them both though.

More money to the transfer pot and the agents as that's how its played out these days so if UTD do get these targets you can bet we paid 5 million more than we would have liked, but that also applies to the opposition plus interest lol

He is one of the least mobile strikers in Europe. That why he is apparently being offered for 10m Euros (just over 8m pounds).

So are rvp, Hernandez and Rooney. We don't need another striker unless it is someone really exceptional.

Galatasaray has confirmed they offered €7M for Nani but United want €10M. It's shocking that we are explecting just €10M for him, besides his inconsistency problems.

I think he's worth 10m, he's only 25 and a brilliant player when he hits form

With a year left we maybe should of took the money. We won't get no where near 10m for him. he's 26years old :)

I am very shocked we only want 10m for him I would at least say we want 18m if not more

Its called desperation to sell but not that desperate.

Rather keep him then and let Moyes beat some form into him

If SAF couldn't sort him out, how do you expect Moyes to?
Let him go, free up the wages

I honestly don't mind if Nani isn't sold, I mean on his day he is a better winger than Young and Valencia. His problem is confidence, maybe with a new manager he has a good chance of being unplayable consistently? Rather than playing for a manager that has always seen him in the shadow of Ronaldo. If he doesn't do well then sell him in Jan!

We accepted a €27m offer from Zenit ten months ago. I doubt it very much that United want a mere €10m for him. I think Gala are talking out of their backside's again. I imagine we would want at least £12m for him.

Not talking about £10m. It's reporting 10m Euro, which is about £8m.

I'd rather we kept him and sold Young instead. Nani maybe inconstant, but on his day he's a brilliant winger. As for Young, he's consistent, consistently awful.

AS Monaco are lining up a £17 million bid for him.
If they do go ahead with this bid, I think Nani will be sold.

Even if we do sign Thiago, we should insert a clause or something in his contract which bars him to publicly air that how he longs to be reunited with his home club and how he yearns to play for them and how good it will be to head back home one day.
I would be sceptical of signing Thiago. Great potential and could be a great player but could be a non-stop pain. Also, I would hate it we were to develop a player only for Barca to reap rewards.

Looks as though Mendy could be the next one to come in, another one that I have never heard of! He is apparently a very highly rated under 21 international (or under 20). Could he be a similar player to Pogba? It has been a while since we have taken a cheap risk, he could be an Obertan, but he could be an Hernandez so I will welcome the signing. We could be looking at three central midfield signings, I for one would fall off my chair!

Defensive midefielder. Ranieri was very unhappy to see him turn down a contact extension, so he could be a player.

I don't know why you are so surprised. All these big names people keep guessing at being our signings and mentioning four or five of them all in one transfer window seems to be very unrealistic to me. I have said all along I expect one pretty big signing (hoping it is Thiago) and two maybe three smaller profile signings. These I think we will sign Garay, Di Maria, Fabregas and Strootman posts, soem even from the Eds I jsut don't understand as they just really aren't the kind of signings (bar Strootman which personally I would rather not happen) that we make, muppet summer transfer excitement. I think the only thing that will have us really push the boat out with a coupel of really big names is if Rooney does indeed leave. Our supposed signings change every 2 weeks with flavour of the month, seems only Strootman is the one always mentioned over a period of time, this years Stefan Defour hopefully ending with the same result!

I haven't watched too much of him, but believe it would be a good signing, as well as fitting our transfer policy. He is coming for free, and would not ask for unreal wages, in other words, a low-risk signing with huge potential. He won't turn out worse than Ralph Milne anyways.

The big signings will be Felliani Bale and Baines that's a lot of money and we will sign a few cheap young players to hope one of them steps up to the level we need Garay di maria fabregas are all bull strootman does have legs though we are interested but only if Felliani goes else were and young will hughes will come in to. Not sure if any1 would agree but I think we wouldn't of needed a new box to box midfielder if SAF just of gave pogba what he wanted and played him we would of been sorted there but he's playing very well in Italy and for france! what's you guys think?

By what I read he doesn't make a single reference to United, just the fact that Mendy has listened to his brother and agent, not himself and wants to leave this summer. Mendy has apparently said he's agreed terms with a club but won't announce it until after his 'holiday'.
Don't get how United have been linked in anywhere?

Woops, I meant Ranieri hadn't made any reference to United.
Moyes said the other day managers are judged a lot on what players they buy in the transfer window and how successful they turn out so maybe paying nothing for a young 20 year old that could do very well is just the thing he's looking for.

"Although Modric has issued a big statement about his own position and claims to want to stay at Madrid that won't stop United going in hard.
"David knows he needs serious midfield flair and has always been a big admirer of Modric's.
"However, if Luka decides to stay put United will be watching every single development at Madrid regarding him between the start of the season and the January transfer window. "

United chief scout Jim Lawlor was spotted at the European Under-21 Championship, reportedly keeping tabs on Holland midfielder Kevin Strootman. Dutch website FCUpdate indicates that the PSV Eindhoven star was the chief target but the player refused to discuss any alleged interest from the Reds after the game with Russia.

Why do some of you try to put yourselves in the same shoes as famous footballers.
YOU might put your house on the market prior to a new job, but the likes of Ronnie, could sell at any time (they have money piling up in their banks.
So. the Moral is, don't post stupid thoughts after you have transposed info, that would not have a bearing on transfer rumours.
