Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring in more creative options to boost his attacking line-up and has set his heart on capturing Gareth Bale above all other targets. A move for the Cardiff born winger may well lead to the possible sale of one of the club’s three other primary wide-men. Nani has had a solid season but has seen his influence tail offer in recent months, however the Portuguese international is still a player that is greatly valued.
Ashley Young started his Man United career in explosive fashion but has struggled to find form since time out injured, whereas Luis Antonio Valencia, primarily used on the right side of midfield, has been hugely impressive in recent months and is much rejuvenated following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

I deem it more likely to happen after Giggs leaves!

If true I wouldn't be surprised to see Young used as a makeweight in the Bale deal, problem is, I am not convinced we want Bale now his fee has sky-rocketed. Evra & Young plus £10m may be tempting for Delboy Harry (if he is still there).

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think more like £10 million with Young and Ferdinand is more likely Sydney, i don't think Redknapp would be interested in Evra - however he has had previous interest in Ferdinand and Evra.

I think Bale is a long term target of ours, and if you look at it our creativity does come from the wings. He has also expressed an interest in playing more centrally so we could utilise him there also.

For me though he would start at LM, and then eventually move back into the full back spot, i think he would be a great full back who could also easily play at left midfield. I'd love to have him here!

I firmly believe there is no chance in hell we will even go for Bale way to expensive

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't understand why Bale would want to move to Manchester. With Barcelona mentioned as a possible suitor and Spurs arguably having a better team than Utd at the moment, where's his motivation?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani and young for bale a good deal

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance Bale will ever be a full back unless forced by injuries. Spurs have already given him the Messi, Ronaldo like free role. If he came here he'd be LM/LW as Rooney plays our 'free-ish' role.

Agree0 Disagree0

If man utd buy bale watch out arsenal Chelsea Liverpool and especially man city

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani and young for bale? Are you drunk? Nani's twice the player.

Bale/Nani/Valencia/Young would be an excellent squad of wngers. Trouble is we'd need to get rid of Park and Giggs has signed a new contract extension so cant see this happening this summer unfortunately. Would SAF really offload Young so quickly? Has he been givn enough of a chance yet? I doubt it...

Shame really as a forward line with these options would be really exciting for next yr;

----Pogba/Carrick--Cleverly/Scholes---
Valencia/Nani-------------Bale/Nani----
--------------Rooney---------------
---------Wellbeck/Hernandez----------

Modric and Bale would be the perfect replacements for Scholes and Giggs, and they have both played together for a length of time, and both premier league experienced. However the cost is the issue. you would want both of these for 50-60 million, spurs would want that for each one. If they had failed to make the CL then maybe they would have been in a weaker position, but financially they can afford to hold out for good prices

Did you know Suarez has only scored 9 for Liverpool, quite funny actually.

MPez

Believable12 Unbelievable8

With about 15-20 assists?

Tom.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's actually scored 12 in total for Liverpool but 8 goals this season, but then he's not an out-and-out striker like the next four players (gotta laugh, eh):

Berbatov 2011-12 - Nine goals
Hernandez 2011-12 - Eight goals
Welbeck 2011-12 - Nine goals
Owen 2011-12 - Three goals

Agree0 Disagree0

12 goals in 34 games - better than 1 in 3 - not too bad really!

Agree0 Disagree0

Berba, Chicho, Welbz all take in turns to play alongside Rooney.. Whereas when Suarez is fit he always starts. So even though he's not an out and out striker, he gets/got a hell of a lot more playing time than any of the three strikers i mentioned above.. Comparing them is idiotic.

EVRA YOU LEGEND. Saurez is a complete and utter w@nk3r!

Hats off to wazza, what a game!

Carroll?

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez scored nearly 50 goals for ajax the season b4 he joined loserfools so going by those stats not a great return

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he had loads of chances to score during his eight game ban.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Suarez isn't an out and out striker, why do the scoucers play him up front by himself? I used to think he was a good player, but now can only think what a small human being he is. Lets hope he finishes up on minimum wage working as a sewer cleaner.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well at Ajax he played a similar role to Wazza, CF dropping back and helping out to create play. But he's a good finisher and can score from range so not an out and out striker. Anyway the fact of the matter Suarez has a small brain, he doesn't understand that sometimes you have to be professional about things, can't let your emotions get to you. He did that and had a cr@p game, whereas Patrice was the better man and had a fantastic game.

Suarez has done himself in a bit with everything that happened yesterday. He'll never get as far now because of the stupid, small ignorant brain he has inside his head.
