Imagine if we sign Ronaldo on jan transfer deadline day. I would probs scream like a liitle girl and then have a heart attack from the excitement. Getting excited while typing this :D

James

Believable36 Unbelievable65

How old are you james ?

Agree1 Disagree1

It's really not gonna happen though is it, lets be honest

Agree0 Disagree2

James mate, you need to get out more...

AJH

Agree1 Disagree1

I'll scream if I ever read another stupid post like this

Dustbin

Agree1 Disagree2

Be pointless signing him this transfer window because he wouldn't be able to play in FA Cup or Champions League matches because he would be cup-tied.

Better off waiting until the summer transfer window to try and get him.

Agree0 Disagree1

Apart for the original post, the last reply is the most pointless post I ever read.

So what if he is cup tied in FA and CL? Surely if there was chance (and I don't believe there is by the way) it wouldn't matter if he was cup tied cos he could still help towards winning us the league?

If we didn't sign him in Jan and waited till summer (and this goes for any cup tied player) surely it's better to have them available for some of the games, rather than none?

I've never understood the 'but he's cup tied argument).

DanW

Agree2 Disagree0

How can he be cup tied in the fa cup

Agree3 Disagree0

Plus, he may be cup tied but he still would be playing for Real Madrid against us would he...

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sorry, I didn't realise that Madrid played in the FA Cup. Also, we will never sign him, but if we were to sign him, now would be perfect as then we would haveb to play agaisnt him, LOL.

Agree1 Disagree0

Are you for real ...Little girl !

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm like to win the euro millions, buy ronaldo myself and have a kick about in my back garden. Just as much chance of happening as the first post. imho.

Joe.a

Agree0 Disagree0

If Madrid buy Bale for 55 Million, we give them De Gea and Nani plus 60 million for Ronaldo. Everyone is happy but its all far fetched we don't have the cash.

If anderson has been in training for 10 days i would like him to come on after 60 mins tomorrow to get some game time and run at liverpool.

Im so glad his injury wasnt that bad.

We need him regardless of what any of you think when on the pitch and is fit he's top notch and you know it !

I would say this:

__________DDG
Rafael__Ferdy__Evans__Evra
Tony___Clevs__Carrick__Young
________RVP__Chicha

I don't think Kagawa is ready to play, Smalling might get a start. Welbeck won't start. I think we will see Rooney and Anderson on the bench. Both will make an appearance I imagine. Anderson coming on will be very useful as he can take the game to Liverpool and force them back.

Fresh!

Agree2 Disagree0

For all his faults (injury, condition) he gives us something nobody else does, the ability to bring the ball at his feet out of midfield. If he stays fit could be a very useful tool in the run-in.

Gav

Agree5 Disagree0

I couldn't agree more! one of my favourite players!

Jake F

Agree3 Disagree0

If Ando is fit that is all we need. He is the best cm we have. If fit he is lethal. One of the best cm's in the world.if he can stay injury free we have amazing midfielder. No one drives the ball out of the half like he does, plus the killer ball instink. If fit, he is a star and unplayable !!!!
TIN

Agree6 Disagree0

I also think Anderson offers something a bit different. on his day he's a beast and those driving runs from midfield are sonething special.

shame he can't stay fit cos a run of games would bring some consistency and keep his weight down

Agree4 Disagree0

Red Rum has more chance of staying fit than Anderson and he's been dead for years!, the posts say it all, can be decent IF fit, be interesting to see how many games over last 3 seasons he's been unavailable for due to injury, one of the few people who's long service award will be his own personalized treatment table with burger dispenser!

Nani will probably feature at some point

i would like to see that with carrick getting subd for anderson, nani for valencia, and if rooneys fit enough rooney for chicha or kagawa all in all i think our squad will get betta and so will our football

DDG

that team vs madrid and we'd have a real chance {Ed004's Note - I would play Carrick against Madrid. He would be one of the first players on the team sheet}

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually great point ed004 carrick instead of cleverly then against madrid how i could forget carrick astonishes me his recent form has been outstanding

From what I have heard through sources is that we will sign zaha for an initial £8 million then add ons up to £12 million, keep him on loan there till summer. then SAF will give crystal palace fort choice on loan players to try and help them get promotion from the championship

Believable31 Unbelievable18

Macheda & Powell maybe?
Gotta wait for Powell to get fit.
TJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Could do but that's all I heard, i think macheda and powell would be great for them and contribute to a few goals to help CP on there way!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone else think that Powell looks a bit cumbersome.

Will be a quality player, and has a similar style to videos I've seen of whiteside, but he needs to lose some weight.

ALEX FERGUSON remains tight-lipped overManchester United's transfer targets.
The Premier League table-toppers are on the verge of signing Crystal Palace whizkid Wilfried Zaha in a £12million deal.
And Fergie is keen on landing unwanted Chelsea pair Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard when their deals expire at the end of the season.
But speaking ahead of his side's showdown with Liverpool this weekend, the United boss refused to be drawn on his plans.
He insisted: "There is nothing to report.
"It is January. The media are all getting abit desperate. There is nothing to tell you."

manchester united are set to make a player + money deal for cristiano ronaldo of real madrid

Believable37 Unbelievable62

I think in the summer, if we are going for it, we will offer £60 million + Nani. You never know, Rooney could be involved, but somehow I don't see that being likely.

Fresh!

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times this non sence will keep on comming? Waaaakkkkee up
Rodio17

Agree1 Disagree2

I hate to say it but i just cannot see us (a) being able to finance such a deal (b) madrid being prepared to sell, you have to see that without ronaldo they are at best an average side selling him would pretty much guarantee they would not even present a decent challenge to europes elite, also the galactico policy is going to struggle as there are not really any galactico style players about at the mo ! how on earth could you replace ronaldo? we still haven't

dean

Agree1 Disagree0

The RvP saga should have taught us that anything is possible in football!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well to be fair, if he doesn't sign a new contact, Real have to sell, or let him leave free a year later, so at the moment its a serious possibility.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't you think that Sir Alex wasn't shrewd enough to build a clause into Cristiano's sale to Real allowing him to buy him back at the end of his that contract? Sir Alex is a master of 'the deal'. Nani and De Gea to Real, and Cristiano back to his 'birth place'. WATCH THIS SPACE!

Agree0 Disagree1

Why would you get rid of de gea?

He's class!

Hey EDs,
There seems to be a fair bit of talk about Utd's goalkeepers floating around these pages recently, is there any signs of Utd eyeing up a shot stopper, what about Jack Butland, I'd imagine being young and English he fits the bill any interest there.Theres a few rumours floating of interest in a new Sapnish young lad but I don't believe in buying spanish players for long term purposes, as they like their own league and usually when their big teams come knocking they like to jump ship, which is perfectly understandable i guess.Opinions Eds??

RedKen {Ed002's Note - Whilst Liverpool has spoken with Butland's agent there has been no offer from the club to Birmingham City. Additionally, I would consider Butland a high-risk move if Liverpool were to look to him as a first choice goalkeeper at this time. However, Birmingham will have to generate some cash this month to keep the club going and selling Butland, their most saleable player, would provide that money. Birmingham have already rejected a £6 million offer from Southampton. Whilst Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have all scouted Butland this season, Everton (if they can find the cash) and Fulham are best placed to strike a deal.}

De gea being pushed out the door in a few papers tomorrow ED002 do you know if there are concerns over him and if he is likely to leave? {Ed002's Note - Perhaps the end of the season when Atletico will need a new golakeeper.}

Believable3 Unbelievable20

Wow Is the player unhappy in England or are the club not happy with how he has settled ED? {Ed002's Note - My understanding is that Manchester United are still looking to resolve a perceived GK problem - I suspect when Courtois leaves Atletico Madrid in the summer a viable option will be for De Gea to move there.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a young keeper, world class shot stopper and the rest of his game will only improve . I don't want to see him leave at all

Dustbin

Agree3 Disagree0

If this is true . I would feel as tho the team as a whole would of let him down . We have been very average defensively . Which doesn't help

ddg is quality i hope this is bull fergie im sure can see how much potential this guy has!REDWILL

Agree2 Disagree0

I can't see him leaving, he's 22 and already made some world class saves that hardly any other keeper in the world could have made. Not only good ones but important ones, the save from Juan Mata's free kick? Courtois is the only other keeper as good for his age.

its rubbish. The problem isn't number one its number two as neither Lindegaard or Amos isn't good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lindegaard is a very good number two, it's whether he is happy to be the number two that is the question. But he did agree a new deal not long ago which suggests he is happy at the club. Is DDG happy at the club? Are the club 100% happy with him? Begovic IMO has looked very commanding this season and he does have good reflexes like Ben Foster. I think with Smalling and Evans in the team we can live without DDG's distribution. I am a big fan of DDG and would like the club to stick by him, but none of us know for sure what is happening. Ed002 also knows what he is talking about so the media stories could well be accurate.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

DDG will become an excellent keeper as long as he settles. For those of you that are keen on books, read "A Life Too Short". It's a biography of Robert Enke. It is a good read but it describes very well how a young keeper (any player) in a foreign counrty can struggle.
I think if Utd stick with DDG we have a top class goalie.

Pip

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 do you see Courtois heading back to Chelsea? Move again on loan? Or on a more permanent deal?

TK-Red {Ed002's Note - He is a Chelsea player who will return to the club for consideration by the manager and then the club will take it from tehre. The intention remains that he is the replacement for Cech.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sidney - This is something that we are in 100% agreement about. There is much to admire about DDG, all he needs is another 10 - 15kilos of extra muscle.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

I think lindegaard will go and de gea will stay. I believe we will sign a back up keeper. Hopefully we will be getting Raymond van der gouw out of retirement.

But in all seriousness, why would the club sell de gea?

Ed002, if you're about have you heard anything new with regards Zaha? The rumour mill seems to be picking up pace today with regards United being clear favourites.

Gav {Ed002's Note - Crystal Palace will look to hold on to Zaha until the summer and if they get promoted perhaps after that. He was to be allowed to move this past summer at the right price with Sunderland, West Ham and Reading look possible destinations. Liverpool have certainly looked at Zaha in the past but there has been strong recent interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs (as an alternate to an expensive Willian perhaps). Game time will no doubt be a factor in the short-term. Arsenal will ease off on interest if and when Walcott signs a new deal.}

Ed do you know if we are in for Yang Mbiwa this transfer window?

Cheers,

Rudderpost {Ed002's Note - Mbiwa had been of serious interest to AC Milan, Lille and Fenerbahce but having signed a new deal at Montpellier they will not be looking to sell in January unless a significant offer were made and Montpellier may then look to start an auction. The summer may see further interest from Milan and both Chelsea and Arsenal may bid for Mbiwa.}

Hi Guys, i usually post any insight i have into french players or players from League 1 as i grew up there. As there is at least one other Brendan here ill post as Bren to avoid confusion. On that note i would like to say whoever gets mvila will get an absolute steal if less than 20m. Im not convinced strootman is a stand out player but i trust the manager. Mvila is carrick with pace and power. I don't understand why nobody has come in for him yet other than the off the field issues. I was staggered nobody bid in the summer before all of that because Rennes will sell. Us, arsenal and chelsea could all be improved by Mvila. Does ed 002 know anything? Bren {Ed002's Note - Spurs, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Newcastle, QPR, Zenit, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all shown a interest in M'Vila over the past year and it was thought that perhaps even PSG and Barcelona would become interested as well - although the well publicized issues have probably put pay to that. However, he was there for the taking of Arsenal should they make an offer that is acceptable to Rennes but his recent issues with his National coach has made Arsenal think again. Spurs put an offer on the table - a 15M euro bid which was rejected, something Rennes now regrets. Zenit is another club who remain interested and QPR would look to attract him to London but I don't see that as a viable option. If he were to be available to move this winter, there is going to be no shortage of interest but I suspect he would still be happy with a move to Arsenal or Newcastle.}

If any of the Eds are aroound can they please tell me that the stuff about Ashley Cole is just tabloid fodder? Ronaldo to sign for Manchester United in the summer seeing Nani move to tottenham and Gareth Bale a move to Real Madrid.

Believable18 Unbelievable18

Wouldn't say no to any of that. I'd rather face a Spurs side with Nani than a Spurs side with Bale. To be honest, no one would scare me with a front 3 of the R's.

Believable19 Unbelievable9

Good to see someone actually supporting a United player (Nani) as every other fan just slags him off! It is not his consistency that needs to change, it is his decision making, he needs to know when to pass and when to take someone on, that is his only problem stopping him from becoming one of the best in the world IMO.
