it may be just a coincidence but manchester united have been linked with real madrid midfielder for a while now and he has been emitted from real madrids squad going on pre-season tour... its a possibility, saf like players proven in the prem.. and he is that.. only time will tell i guess

Believable0 Unbelievable6

He has no loyalty. In fact, he seems to have no morals at all.

Plus, he isn't that good. I keep hearing that we are interested but I hope it's just paper talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope we are not after him he simply is not good enough and has baggage.

SAF speaking in Boston:"No, I don't think he's coming to United. I think he's agreed to go elsewhere", speaking of Nasri. It's clear he's going to S***y

Believable8 Unbelievable2

11 Jul 2011 21:54:42
Sir Alex has has his press conference in the US and when asked about Nasri he said "Nasri, no. I don't think he's coming to United. I think he's agreed to go somewhere else. Maybe he has to stay at Arsenal too. That's a possibility." That is on the Today In Boston section on manutd.com {Ed036's Note - So City it is then?}

Believable7 Unbelievable1

He will be going to City. His outburst about trophies over money made that clear. He was making excuses to the Arsenal fans.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist bud, he was left out of the US touring squad. I expect a £2m bid from WBA is imminent.

just spoke to samir nasri's girlfriend on twitter (xCaroliinaax), i asked if he would come to united and she replied at the moment he is an arsenal player and he is happy there also she said there is more of a chance of him going to city than united.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

That's the least believable rumour yet Apart from christiano coming back

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? Because Ive just jumped out of the hottub after a long soak with Nasri's gran and SHE claims he's of to Russian side makalakadakashaka. Gods honest truth..... ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading this i can only think of one word, i'll let someone guess it? starts with a B ends with a t.

.. and no it's not biscuit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell is Samir Nasri's girlfriend, Tatiana Golovin, called xCaroliinaax on twitter? Just rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

His girlfriend is Tatiana Golovin, a French tennis player.
Dingle

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I just spoke to Nasri's mother and she confirmed the same thing.........

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he want to come to us when city are clearly going to be better this season hard to admit but its true

Agree0 Disagree0

I just saw his girlfriend's cousin, twice removed, in Islington Tesco Express.

He said that Samir is going to Brentford FC in a £200,000 deal and he expects it to be wrapped up by midnight tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not his missus, it's a fanatical Arsenal fan who's favourite player is Nasri.

You can still get Scholes on the back of a United shirt on the website Maybe he's staying.....

Nasri or sneider will not be signed both would have been signed if SAF really wanted any of them. sanchez looked like signing untill he said he favoured a move to barcelona and SAF will not buy a player that 2 or 3 years later will leave for another team.We were gonna go for mouthino but chelski has hijacked him already which leaves 2 players and only one will be signed. mata 22m or 7m scott parker are the names i have heard being bundled about.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

No offense to scott parker but, the only team we really need to beat is barcelona and i don't think scott parker is good enough to help us, besides he isn't exactly young either.. mata is a great player, it would be a surprise to a lot of people if he signed however it would definitely put a massive grin on my face if he did.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you know ? for god sake be patient SAF knows we need an experinced midfielder to replace the irreplaceable Ginger Prince it will happen so stop believing the the media hype as they know less than we do
ARB

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie will be eyeing up some lil jems like chicarito..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that SAF would sooner go for someone like Defour or maybe Eriksen as Parker isn't a great improvement on what we already have.
He's a canny player but just NGE.
Hopefully Anderson will step up this season.

Man Utd are going to bid for wesley sneider while swapping nani in with the deal. Also alex ferguson is going for nasri too. And Chelsea are going for Modric and tevez Trusted Source

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Although this is my first posting here, I am a regular visitor. Pls why dont you go and read? Its all over the news that scnieder said that he wants to stay with inter, pls forget him and talk about Nasri.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tevez wont go to chelsea, he probably go to inter

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour has it, Sneijder doesn't wish to leave Inter. But, if he has to then he will join United. Those are the words from the man himself in a recent interview.

Sneijder: 27 years old, doesn't wanna leave Inter and cost around £35 million.

Nasri: 24 years old, wants to join United and would cost £20-22 million.

I know which I prefer. {Ed036's Note - That's not exactly all there is to it though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed036 states a good point, it annoys me when people think of players and transfers based on one or two things such as their age and valuation.. you gotta look further for example, their attitude, leadership, versatility and general talent could state so many more things but as i'm writing this i can smell my food burning, oh snap :(

Agree0 Disagree0

If you believe everything you read more the fool you that interview was old hat from early May if you want to go back to when he left Real to join Inter his mother and I quote her "Wesley was devastated that Manchester United did not come in for him" tells you everything in as much that he would join United given the chance

Been reading this site a lot since end of season. Sneijder is NOT coming, sorry,
Nasri is NOT coming, thank the lord.
Anyone that comes on this site and starts barking on about CM blah blah blah.SAF knows what we need and I think the job he has done for this club should leave NO-ONE in any doubt that SAF will have the player(s) HE wants and feels can do a job for the Mighty Reds.
Peace.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

Well that is wrong cos i have a souce that sneider has singed 36m 200k a week so boom

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on the button fella, weel said.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

CM Blah blah blah. It was SAF that identified this was the area we needed to fill so if you are such an SAF follower you might want to listen to what he has to say. We all did and thats why we've been taking about CM's. Blah Blah Blah.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, dunno if you watched united play last season but the position we are weakest in is our midfield, our defensive is one of the best if not thee best in the world. Our forwards only got better as the year went on (apart from berba, he started good and then lost confidence) with paul scholes retiring, we're in desperate need of someone who can come in and boss the job straight from the word go. I know sneijder (one of the few people on here who can actually spell his name -.-) is a great player however he is used to playing right behind the strikers and although he could drop back i think the main cause for concern is if he'll do as well with all the physical demands of the EPL considering he is quite fragile (injured while at real madrid, and last season he kept having minor injuries disrupting his playing time)

However he is one of the few people with a vision as good as scholes's, and one of a few in the world who can kick a ball as consistently accurate as him... So maybe with a bit of fergie know how, he could make him highly effective in a slightly deeper lying role as he clearly has a gift for playing beautiful football. (bearing in mind people that he worked his way up through Ajax, and their motto is to play attractive football, which means he has to be highly creative, and we lack that in our midfield at the moment)

Peace out.

Agree0 Disagree0

And which player is that after ruling out the ones most available?
Easy to rule sneider and nasri out but you can't say who

so seems chelsea gona up there offer for modric, spurs with levy can be hardball with transfers as utd have found out i the past but i think the last people apart from arsenal that spurs wana deal with is are chelsea and plus made it worse with just a 22m offer, united if want modric should go in make the big offer its gona be 35m at least i reckon before spurs let go, we also have berba, carrick, evans any of those could be thrown in plus even if turned down will least chelsea got pay much more which even with russians cash he aint always that happy about spending big..............just one more makes me laugh if liverpool get downing it will be near 80m spent and got carroll, adam&henderson, downinglol if fergie spent 80m and got them 4 dont think we would be looking forward to title no.20 so kenny you carry on great deals go get heskey back for 15mlol

Sneijder hasn't signed for anyone. In a recent interview he said he wishes to stay at Inter. He loves the fans and He loves life in Italy and so does his family. If he has to be sold then he said he will join United.

Agree0 Disagree0

The "recent" Sneijder I/V that is doing the rounds dates back to June and has appeared in Inters July magazine. It's the equivalent of the United mag and players don't as a rule diss their club in such mags

Got some interesting information from source a minute ago as said before utd want Sneijder and Sanchez he it is Sneijder utd have told Inter they will £32.6m but Malaga have offered £35m which Inter will meet to think it over utd don't want to pay more any more money because it is breaking into the the money put aside for Sanchez deal. ferguson wants Sneijder signed to face Barcelona in US tour.

Believable7 Unbelievable13

The US tour squad has already be named so any new signing won't be able to play Barcelona

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are DeGea and Jones etc. joining the squad later on then, to just sit there and watch?

This is a quote from Inter Milans July edition of their magazine, which i assume would have been written in late June. Now if I was Wesley Sneijder I wouldn't want to upset any Inter fans just in case the deal didn't go through, he was quoted saying he doesn't want to leave BUT if they wanted him to go then he would leave, and ended by saying "What will be will be"..... 1358: Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder wants to remain at Inter Milan, according to the club's coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The 27-year-old former Real Madrid star - under contract with the Italians until June 2015 - is valued at £35m. Don't managers say this just before a player is going to leave? Just to soften the blow?

Believable11 Unbelievable8

No sneijder is having talks with manchester united tomorrow and he will take a pay cut to go as he has no place at inter
also it says that aw said that cesc and nasri will stay till next year so if that happens nasri can walk out for free and old trafford is his prefered destination

Agree0 Disagree0

And Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini said: I try not to be worried about Sneijder.

He is one of the best players in Europe. But I am convinced we can find a new player when he goes.

This is from the sunday mirror hardly the most reliable I know but Gasperini is at least quoted.
It depends what you read and who you believe on this one Im afraid.

Sneijder said he is sad to leave but ferigie will offer £35m tomorrow to get him and nasri is set to go to city tho he wants to go to united

Personally I think everyone sahould stop worrying about the Sneijder saga, have a bit of faith in SAF he's rarely let us down before. If he believes Sneijds could do a job at Utd, then i'd assume he's right. We can say he not as good as so and so or will take up Rooneys space. He's never played with the players that will be around him so we can hardly judge what he'll do can we? Stop been so negative about it all and let's look forward to next season and be happy with whoever we may sign.

Mate, you re so, so right. People, stop being negative. Maybe I m one of the 10 people that think Bebe can progress. I saw his improvement at the end in the "Gary Neville s" game. Of what I ve seen, I think Joshua King is another who has bright future. I hope Obertan will do realy well this season. As for Sneijder, don t forget he was supperb as an Ajax captain. He was injured at Real M for some time...He s a class player, I prefer Nasri, but I ll support the Sneijder transfer too. Fingers crossed to play realy good next season. My preference is the Premier league crown :)

Believable14 Unbelievable8

I would trust & support any SAF transfer, even the one's he makes commission off.

Sydney,

How much does he make off each transfer. Or is it only from those he makes using his friend Mendes??

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real.. sneijder is a non-starter.. tabloid nonsense

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga and United are the only two that have made a bid for him. If any others make a bid, he will consider them too. There is a long way to go in this window and I expect it to go the distance. He could well stay at Inter.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Inter are looking to Sanchez to come in. They need the money.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you sure you saw improvement in Bebe? the guys not up to standard and won't. Obertan is better but not good enough, we was an educated gamble, which hasn't paid off but didn't cost that much. Bebe was quite simply a mistake and an expensive one at that. In SAF we trust (but not everytime)

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2011 09:58:58
This is what I have heard, but I am sceptical about the source.

Over a week ago United made a £30m bid for Sneijder, Malaga came in and agreed to pay the £35m that Inter want, but Sneijder does not want the Malaga move. Inter will sit down tomorrow and discuss United's £30m offer. They are not interested in Nani, they would prefer the cash because they are about to make a bid for Pastore. This source says that Sneijder's current wage is 155k a week, if this is the case then 175k a week would equal his current wage. Also says that Sneijder has two options that he is willing to consider, 1) Staying at Inter 2) Signing for United. There is interest from City, but no enquiry made or bid.

Like I said I have no idea how accurate this info is, but I guess we will wait and see.

Sydney!

Believable14 Unbelievable10

I can definitely see Sneijder coming to United, and those wages (175k) seem alot better than the 200k + a week that have been widely reported. Hope it happens

Agree0 Disagree0

If those figures are true and inter agree it'd be a great deal I think

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, If we did sign Sneijder for £30m on wages of 175k a week. I would be happy with that. I just hope he can keep his peak going for the duration of his United contract.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

£175k per week in the PL would equil £155k in Italy? PL players pay 50% Tax, so £250k plus bonus's and maybe you get the guy

I'm a gooner but I'd love to see him in the PL so hope you do get him

Mong Out

Agree0 Disagree0

Mong Out

Italy's higher rate is 45%. Having said that, the Italian taxation system (and therefore means of avoiding it) is just about the most complex and convoluted you'll ever come across. Sydney's figures look about right to me.

Apparently United have asked to be kept informed of any movement of Sissoko the French cm of Touluse this is the kind of move i expect from Fergie, that type of player who its ovious we lack tall, robust, pin point passer of the ball, my 1st choice would be Sweinstiger though solid player

Believable18 Unbelievable6

Out of all the young available players being touted as "future superstars" this lad is the real deal from what i ve seen, 13 million would get him.. dont know how true utd having interest in him is but wouldnt be surprised.. him and Matuidi are the two best young midfielders in France at the moment

************UNITED TO WRAP UP DEALS FOR BOTH NASRI AND SNIJDER WITHIN NEXT FEW WEEEKS DONT SHOOT THE MESSINGER***********

Believable14 Unbelievable26

11 Jul 2011 00:26:10
Not debating that both Nasri and Snjeder are class (snejder being my preference) But i really want SAF to make a cheeky bid for Thiago Alcantara The kid is 20, He is outstanding and is the bit of flair and crativity i believe we have missed Especially against big European teams

MASSEEEV RED {Ed036's Note - He's just signed a new contract. £81 million release clause. Not going to happen methinks...}

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Even is some miracle happened and UNited were to wrangle Thiago away, Barcelona would insist on a buyback clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed036? These numbers are getting ridiculous ;)

TK-Red {Ed001's Note - have to keep you on your toes! Still less editors than sites and I would like every team to have their own editor.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The £81m buyout clause has changed nothing, Barcelona would still have got the price they wanted for him, just like they will still get the price they want for him now. It has changed absolutely nothing.

But I would rather spend £25m on Thiago, than £35m on Sneijder. But perhaps it's a more experienced midfielder that SAF wants? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Inter Milan are reportedly willing to sell Wesley Sneijder to Man United but the San Siro side will demand Portuguese winger Nani as part of any deal to bring the Dutchman to Old Trafford.

Believable13 Unbelievable22

I think not , They want Nani but they also need the cash to buy players they need to compete at the top level again

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2011 23:48:53
So this whole Wesley Sneijder saga cotinues to rumble on. Personally, I can't see United buying him. For two simple reasons. 1.) The cost. Yes, I know people will argue if you want the best you have to pay the going rate but as pointed out by several United fans on here Sneijder would cost £87+million overall. Thats a huge gamble to take given the fact Sneijder is 27 years old and had a very disappointing season for Inter last year. I coudln't disagree when he is on top form he is one of the best players in his role, and thats where my second point comes in; 2.) His position. CAM, just behind the striker. Is everyone forgetting Wayne Rooney? He has been playing in that position for us and i'd have Rooney in that role all day long. For me that means that Sneijder wouldn't play in a 4-4-2 and given the potential in Rooney and Hernandez's partnership, I can't see SAF sacrificing either. People are alos quick to right off any possible Luka Modric deal. I agree however only whilst there is no offer on the table from United. If United were to make a bid I think the situation would change quite quickly, how many players can turn down SAF? and Man Utd as a club. Modric is simply after CL football and with Chelsea the only club to have made an official offer and his desire to move its pretty obvious why he has spoken of a move to Chelsea. Just a thought, whats yours Ed?

Rosco {Ed036's Note - I can't see Spurs wanting to sell to us after all of the bravado they've drummed up over the Modric saga, as well as the Carrick and Berbatov drama a few years ago. It would be a completely negative statement of intent. I also believe that he has spoken of his desire to remain in London, so I think there are too many factors going against it for a deal to be viable. I personally don't buy into the "Sneijder is too similar to Rooney" argument, because I seem to remember people saying much the same about Tevez who actually had a very good first season. Furthermore, surely it's about the options it gives us? Hernandez's approach play isn't good enough for him to be starting alone up front against Barcelona in my opinion, and so having Sneijder in the team allows us to play Rooney as an all-action striker on such occasions.}

Believable13 Unbelievable2

I did not write this and also believe some comments are fairly wide of the mark.

I think what people sometimes forget is if a team (especially a prem team, due to physicallity and tempo etc.) is going to challenge on all fronts, the one thing you can never have too much of is options. Can anyone honestly say they wouldn't want sneijder in their team over Gibson. Wage is not a problem as our revenue stream is only rivalled by that of barca and real.

Completely agree with ED's points and also find it ridiculous to call sneijder old at the ripe old age of 27. The same people that say this are the same people that would have scholes back tommorow, (i understand the affinity with the club but) double standards? When was paul scholes ever up for FIFA player of the year.

Apparently on the verge of a 6m bid for AV's barry bannan as SAF sees him as a long term cm replacement now that scholes has retired. Sneijder and Nasri WON'T be signing

Believable7 Unbelievable18

What planet are you on I don't doubt he looks a decent prospect but would not make the bench at OT at the moment he will make a major signing trust him
ARB

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry Bannan is a quality player, we should have signed him whilst the Frenchman was still manager. I find it hard to believe he will be the answer to our midfield right away. I have a feeling a marquee signing will be for the midfield position.

Barry Bannan's a good player but if you're not happy with Fletcher, Anderson, Carrick and Giggs, then Tom Cleverley is worth a look. We already own him
