A few pictures of Paul Pogba in West London are cropping up online. Add to them the talk of an imminent Chelski bid and I can't help but feel that whatever slim chance we had of signing Vidal is now gone.

Believable23 Unbelievable28

Ive heard that he was only in London for a holiday and visiting his brother, we'll see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Make nothing of it, people can go to cities where teams are
They have enough central midfielders anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Mel, Chelsea are clearly looking to buy one more midfielder. Pogba being their first choice, perhaps Khedira as back-up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Y clearly looking syd? please explain that comment

Agree0 Disagree0

What's to explain? Chelsea are very interested in signing Pogba. They also have an interest in Vidal & Khedira.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just u say it with so much conviction mate, its a all gossip atm, and ure portraying as fact, chelsea wanted fabregas they bid they got him, same with costa and now seemingly Luis of athletico. but not any real note of activity as happend as of yet, this has been floated about for a while yet no real concrete movement. i'm not saying its true or not, just seemed a comment 'clearly' :-)

Italian newspaper La Tercera reporting something related to a $55 million bid for Vidal from Man Utd. I don't know how reliable this is. Anyone read this? Or knows something about this? Eds. Any idea?

Thanks

Believable16 Unbelievable25

Isn't that a paper from Chile?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ya a lot of papers in ireland reporting vidal and di maria done deals exciting times

Apparently there is a report in the chilean newspaper. I think the deal includes Evra also.

Agree0 Disagree0

When I said Italian, I meant the language. Sorry if you got confused.

Agree0 Disagree0

I read a poorly translated version (I don't speak Spanish) and it appears that their source is the English press.

Charni Ekangamene has gone to Zulte Waregem in Belgium. Thought he was decent player but we all knew he wasn't going to make it into the first team.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Good reliable player. But wasn't up to the mark especially with his passing.

Angel Di Maria deal agreed for 47.7 million pounds and 150k per week

Believable19 Unbelievable57

I don't get it he is 50% more expensive than Sanchez yet 50% less effective!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree beast, even I would've preferred Sanchez.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Ox one side and Sanchez on the other. That's what you call pace

Agree1 Disagree0

It's a lot for sub for club and country.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nails, he's not sub for club or country.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do Maria was the best player in the champions league final plus naturally left footed what United need not another right winger! He's a starter for both club and country!

Agree0 Disagree0

He was a starter for both, loads of assists at Real. A lot of money, apparently PSG in aswell. Would love to see a bid for Moura if they got di Maria, they have to balance the books some how and Moura down the right would be class. Dreams.

Agree1 Disagree0

Beast, you have to think the Sanchez picks up injuries a lot, he also never stays at a club that long, couple years and he's off.
Do Maria is a quality player yes, however he does give the ball away ALOT

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Reus now the move to Barca is off?

The guardian are running the 'Sneijder to United' stories, it has begun.

Believable2 Unbelievable35

I couldn't possibly see us move for Sneijder. What would be the point and where on earth would he play.

Agree3 Disagree0

He does play deeper now, but he's not what we need at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Sneijder or Enzo Perez would seem to make sense. Slightly older players with great experience and not too expensive. I think ultimately LVG would like Strootman but given that he's injured a cheaper/older/experienced player might be a stop gap alternative next to Herrera (and hopefully Carvalho)

Agree0 Disagree2

Why waste £16m when we have Mata, Kagawa and Rooney who all play in same position as him?

Hi Ed, reports are saying Di Maria has agreed a £150k a week deal with United and will sign officially after the World Cup, any truth in this? Or just more made up nonsense? Cheers, Mike :)

Believable6 Unbelievable22

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any agreement, sorry.}

Mike

I wouldn't take any notice of the source Metro. they make up a cock and bull story every day about united.

Agree1 Disagree0

That's not to say there isn't though?

Agree0 Disagree0

This story seems to have developed from Spanish media. They have reported United have agreed terms. I'm fairly sceptical this is the case but aren't Marca effectively Madrid's media outlet?

Agree1 Disagree0

150k is alright. But some reports are suggesting that Madrid are looking at 45mn GBP for him. That would be outrageous, IMHO.

Agree1 Disagree0

Apparently we value him closer to £30 million, Madrid value him closer to £40 million. I think a happy ground around the £35 million mark will be reached soon. Then we will hopefully finally have a world class winger worthy to wear the number 7 shirt.

Agree0 Disagree0

have moved odds today from 6/4 to 4/5 on that he signs, something must have gone on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Odds 1/2 now looking very likely :)

I sure hope we make a quick phone call to Dortmund and offer them the same amount for Reus.
I doubt they would refuse that kind of money right away.
Might have them thinking.
I'd prefer Reus by far

Some journalists now reporting that Di Maria has agreed personal terms, not its just a matter of the fee. Very hopeful that this deal will go through and will soften the blow of seeing Sanchez in an Arsenal shirt. If we can get this one wrapped up after the World Cup and then get another CM and CB then I think we will fighting for the top spot next season.

My personal feeling is that deals for Vermaelen and Carvalho are all but done but won't be completed until Hummels and Vidal deals have been backed out of (if that happens).

Hey Ed, just wondering is/was Daley Blind an actual target or was it a case of 'Van Gaal is the new Man United so let's link every Dutch player to them'?
In my opinion, he would be a very good purchase as, with Evra leaving he'd provide good cover for Luke Shaw as well as playing in midfield alongside Herrea and, hopefully Vidal, in a midfield 3 which some people seem to be suggesting that is the type of formation Van Gaal will implement.

He also more than likely wouldn't cost as much as Ricardo Rodriguez who is being linked with Man United at the moment.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - A year or two back Liverpool took a look at Daley Blind but did not follow up. There was interest from Hannover 96 in January and Hamburg both in January and again recently. Chelsea spoke with Ajax about the player as an option for their left back problem and his agent would like to talk to Manchester United - but they have not made any approach yet - although they most probably will.}

Hi eds I'm totally new to asking questions on this but I'm always reading others! I'm a massive united fan live and breath for united! It's jus sometimes reading things on this it seems people jus post rubbish most of the time, so I'd like to ask 2 questions if u don't mind answering.
1. Are Manchester United actually looking to bring Vidal to old Trafford?
2. Are Manchester United working on more tan 3 signings? Tnx in advance and tnx for the great job your doing.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - (1) Vidal moved to Juventus after spurning good offers from Bayern Munich and Barcelona. If he were to come up for sale, I understand Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid would be interested. Barcelona has dropped their interest now. Real Madrid would propose a player exchange deal but that may not suit Juventus who want to keep the player and are willing to sacrifice Pogba to do so. (2) I cannot quantify how many players will be signed but I am sure there will be more.}

Couple of places saying we have bid £7million for Enzo Perez, is that roughly what he's worth or is it just another load of pie in the sky?
