Interesting today reading about jaap stams transfer, how fergie met with him at a petrol station and told him to please go to lazio. he was probably the best defender iv ever watched at united, Fergie said later it was 1 of his biggest mistakes selling the player. but this made me think about fergie's man management abilities, beckham situation comes to mind, i really hope pogba isnt another big regret! however i wud of put my mortgage on rooney being sold when the whole situation happened, u wud think that wat he said was worst compared to stam, keane , ruud VN yet fergie caved into his demands( i think or abit of both from both parties). what do you guys think about fergie and his relationship to players? does he act rashly without taking a step back, we seen wat happened with rio where he said it wud be dealt with than i think he realised how every one was on rios side and that he had the right to choose for himself.

As far as Stam was concerned, I always thought it was...errr...fortuitous for the club that only a few months after he was moved on he failed a drugs test. Imagine the pressure on United if that had surfaced while he was our player.

Sulei,
I have said before that it is for these reasons why I am not quick to put the blame squarely on Rooney. I believe if what he did was the truth then his bags would have been packed and he would be on his way by now. Just my opinion but who knows right

Ferdinand is by far the best centre-back we have had at United. People only forget about it because he has lost so much pace.

He even made Sylvestre look good as a centre-back.

Please dont question Sir Alex's man management skills, or the way he gets the best out his players, last year we didnt deserve to be as close as we were, but they way Sir Fergie has them playing we will always threaten any team because We are United. Why not mention some of the players that have given everything for him and club over the years, Giggs, Bruce, Pallister, Scholes, Solksjaer, Irwin, Schmeichel, do I need to go on.

Does it seem to be a totally bad decision about Pogba, having probs.at Juventos already, maybe we didn't know the whole story before he left

Anybody who questions SAF is deluded!

I think ferguson is on record saying he has went out of his way for rooney and that the only other player he has gone that far out of his way for was king eric! after his ban so think that shows what fergie is willing to do for that special player

completely agree with red. No manager gets it right with all under him. what makes a great manager is someone who gets it right most of the time.

Anyone see mats daehli v Newcastle under 18's? He was sensational. Also ander perrerria looks a fantastic talent. James Wilson reminds me a bit on chicharito. If these 3 in particular develop like we know they can we will have 3 of the best players in the world no doubt!

Exciting aint it! Lets not forget Januzaj who is just as promising!

Januzaj is the most promising of all.

Actually Wilson reminds me more of Van Persie. He has more skills on the ball than a poacher type like Hernandez.

And you should give Ben Pearson a mention too. He has been outstanding in central midfield. Rothwell is another great talent but he is injured.

What's the point if they don't get a chance, none of these player as good a pogba look what happened there
