4 weeks for Cleverley ladies and gents....
Ligament damage...
Also Syd, read your post below....Rooney has a reputation of making ugly challenges, wakey wakey! Just glad no one has been injured by him...... Still, I Won't get on his back as he is sublime this season!

Great result yesterday by the lads hope we can keep the form going. Shocking tackle by Davis but I fear carrick will replace cleverly and that's bad news for us. I don't want to b always on his back as he is a great pro but not utd standard. I fear our attacking will be slowed down by him as he is very slow at doing everything but I hope he proves me wrong, lastly great to see Rooney on form and when he does turn it on he is far the best player in the premisherip.

That it's ligament damage isn't good news. Ligaments have no blood supply so do not heal as well as a broken bone. Al though his healing process would have been longer he would be less likely to have recurring injuries. It's such a shame to see people injured by needless, stupid tackles!

Kevin davies is a scumbag. Every time it is the same. Evra could have broken his leg in that foul. Will the fa do anything? Will they f***

They can't as the challenge was seen by the ref and dealt with by the ref. It's the same reason they couldn't touch Rooney for that elbow on McCarthy against Wigan.

I know that but he was saying before the game that he couldnt wait to get laid in to united. He had an agenda and he stuck to it

I agree that he went out to purposely injure players, but rules are rules. Nothing can be done about him.

Great player and i can see where your coming from but i'm not sure about it for some reason. have we seen the back of angry petulant Rooney? if not what example would he set the younger player around him if he's captain. But on the other side it may be that which makes him grow up. i'm being abit indecisive here:-S lol

Keane wore his emotions on his sleeve, certainly wasnt always a 'good example' as some might say, but i think he turned out to be fantastic, a real players captain.
rooney cud be similiar imo

I think since the start of this year after everything that happened last year he has matured a hell of a lot. He is starting to behave himself because he's found tremendous form! I think he'd make a great captain, after all he is our number 10.

For the way he treated the club and held us to ransom (which he won) he should never have that honour. RAINFISHTROMBONE

He has matured so much over the past year and so yeah he could be but for me it will be Jones as captains at the back are much better as they can see the whole game.

Rainfish dude, Rooney was just unhappy because the club didn't look ambitious enough for his liking and i'm not too surprised considering we recently sold ronaldo.. tevez.. rooney was probably thinking what is going on here?! we wanna win not sell our best players, i'm glad he scared united like that! Kicked their ass into gear a bit! I mean look at us now, we're not even selling the players that flop - berba ;) haha

Well Rainfish, I seem to remember that in 2000 Keane threatened to leave if his wage demands weren't met. Not exactly the same scenario, but United have a precedent for having greedy Captains. Ferdinand also springs to mind.

Personally I would rather Rooney stick to his own game, he seems to excel when his mind is focused.
If given the captaincy I reckon he would charge around the pitch playing trying to do others jobs for them if they were below par.
I wouldn't site Rainfish's reasons though, I mean Keano did it in 99 and even Robbo had a move to Juve engineered before a U-turn.
