I think we will buy dybala and play him as a goal keeper. just because Jose feels he will be good there. since Fergie left, the trend is set to play players out of position and multi tasking players handling positions rather specialist.

Whenever Jose speak good of Shaw. he drops him. Playing young in front of him that to against new castle is a puzzle. When energy is needed, he brings on Carrick and Mata in name of tactical changes. Despite woefully performance by Smalling and Jones he exclude Rojo, who is at least a fighter. Lindeloff not getting chances to settle and get his confidence. against smaller teams SAF always tried his and their luck. That always helped with depth. I loved him for that.

We don't have quality no10 still Jose is obsessed with playing 4-2-3-1. a simple switch to 4-3-3 and to many players come in right position.
Martial has started playing good on left and as soon as Alexis arrived he has been shifted to right. why?

Alexis is good on both side, he can be asked to attack from right. What's a point a breaking a young players growing confidence. Jose's thinking is bringing this team back. If I were him I will play bling in holding with Herrera and Pogba in midfield, with Martial and Alexis out wide.

To many questions can be asked to Jose that what's actually happening in the name of tactics? Sorry to say but it's fun to watch city, Liverpool and Tottenham. But optimistic Army will point to league position. tell me which was the last 5 game run, you got satisfied with both play and result.

3-2-3-2 next seasons formation fits every one in perfectly martial upfront with lukaku. Sanchez on the left pogba middle. Matic holding with someone who will help him and stay put. Bailly can hold the hands of the 2 either side of him and tell them to stop doing shite things like score og's or dive. Sorted for 18/ 19 just need 3 signings a cb a holding midfielder akin to a 25 year old Carrick and a right-sided player akin to a Beckham with crossing ability or a right sided giggs.

So you would drop Matic and play Blind in holding midfield. Give your head a wobble.

Dodgy. he is more defensive and intelligent on ball than Matic I guess. he I guess is a victim of his versatility. remember we bought him as midfielder only. and he was doing well before moved to CB. also on rumour front Barcelona is interested in him. speaks something of the lad.

Have been hearing repeatedly since he joined that Jose needs 2/ 3/ 4 windows to turn us into a top team again. So which of his signings so far can we categorically call a resounding success? Not many I dare say.

One thing I cannot stand above anything in an elite level footballer is a lack of football intelligence. And I must say there seems to be a severe lack of grey matter in our team. Whether it's the players or the coaching or a bit of both, we look a yard off the other top teams in terms of ideas, movement, slickness, composure. Somehow it feels we can continue splashing money but the approach and tempo won't change.

I think we have had varying degrees of success from all of Jose’s signings to be honest. Until about 2 weeks ago Pogba had been our best player this season, he has a couple of bad games (I think he was ill yesterday anyway) and suddenly he’s an awful signing.

We are missing Bailly a lot at centre half, I would like lindelof to get a go to be honest, lukaku has improved his game a lot, Matic is having a bit of a bad spell hit at the start of the season everyone was raving about him. We aren’t playing well but don’t think we are far off to be honest.

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence displayed by our players, the simple things like passing to a player in space seems beyond their logic, they seem more comfortable passing a three yard pass to a colleague that is surrounded by three or four opposition players.

Picking out the main signings:
Bailly- class centre back when playing, looked a great signing last year. Been out as much as he's played, but that's just bad luck.

Pogba - under the negative spotlight now but even when his stock was high earlier this season he still had a massive question mark over his big game credentials for me. Misused by Jose or is he simply coming up short when it matters?
Zlatan - no one can argue with his goals contribution last year but would have to go down as a two-thirds season wonder for me, and that's accounting for his terrible injury. Resigning him was a joke.

Matic - started off superbly but I'm struggling with him. Is he knackered, is he being overused/ overworked, or is he simply past his best in terms of being the midfield rock over a full season?

I can't see him getting better next season, or the one after.
Miki - got rid as soon as we got a chance. Wrong player for this team and manager.
Lukaku - although I never wanted him and still don't, I've felt for him of late, as he's worked his socks off and vastly improved his link play, but gets next to nothing in terms of the right service. Not the right striker for us.

Lindelof - for a manager like Jose who goes out of his way to prove his decisions right, it amazes me how little faith he's shown in this guy, even with the smalling and Jones double act on show. Question marks.

So, how many more windows?
