If it is true Chelsea have bid 20 mil for matic, surely we should go that bit further for him?!

Believable5 Unbelievable31

Matic is so slow, he's like Fellaini - may be a bit better but he is not the fast paced midfielder that we need.

And Moyes is at the Juventus game, supposedly watching Astori?

Believable20 Unbelievable20

I would like to think he is there for a final check before a big bid for Vidal. Not hopeful though.

Agree6 Disagree3

He's probably thinking if only we had Pogba. Hopefully it's Vidal he's after.

Agree4 Disagree2

I hope it's not vucinic.

Agree3 Disagree3

Tevez?

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeah well probably bid 50 million for Tevez when they want 60

Agree5 Disagree0

It's likely that he's there to see more than one player.

Did anyone see Pogba's comments the other day where he stated he left because of SAF and that doesn't mean that he'll never play for United again?

Agree3 Disagree0

I read he could be watching Pogba. imagine if we signed him think i'd c*m in my pants!

Not likely though

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope to god its Vidal and he's not just there for the game! Be brilliant if we can get him and coentrao in for chelsea game

Agree4 Disagree1

I believe it was to watch Marchisio. Moyes must be keen to go in person.

Agree1 Disagree0

Really hope we see some movement this week . In r out!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we offer a massive to go to turn down offer for vidal, we are desperate for that kind of player

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats that dustbin?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ment to say, I hope we offer a massive amount that's too good to turn down to get Vidal

Agree0 Disagree0

He's having the warm treatment like Rooney .

Agree0 Disagree0

The **** that is Pogba's agent was at the Swansea game last night

Agree0 Disagree0

Conte apparently said after the game that United want to buy Marchisio, but that he's not leaving the club until the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny isn't it? Ask the fans and we would be looking at Vidal or pogba (who I don't see an OT reunion for) but it appears our fearless leader has his predecessors ability of not being able to spot top class central midfielders and will end up paying over the odds for the lesser talent of marchesio. I'm getting a feeling of dejavu here. Oh yeah we did the same this summer with fellaini. Please be vidal. Also while I'm here it appears the glazers new years resolution was to spend money. I know shocking right? They have just appointed a very highly rated coach at their NFL team who was attracting a lot of attention from other teams and would not have come cheap. Very un-glazer I know and whilst I'm not suggesting you burn your anti glazer scarfs yet it appears they could have had a revelation. Fingers crossed!

You have to wonder would moyes have been better staying at everton, the guy is on a hiding to nothing, fergerson had an aging team which needed half the players replacing. Without Rooney we would be in a worse situation. I just think the older players know their time is up. Also when is zaha going to get a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Any idea ed002 who he is watching?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The club maintain an interest in Vidal.}

Reports P Nev is @ the Rayo Vallecano vs Getafe game, who could he be watching?

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Looking like 19-year-old attacking midfielder Saul Niguez

Agree1 Disagree1

Lisandro López, Pablo Sarabia, Saúl Ñíguez or Lass Bangoura - would be my guess!

Agree1 Disagree1

It is supposedly Saul Niguez.

Agree1 Disagree1

Also had scouts at Benfica v Porto

Forget the ins. Strong rumors of Anderson being tired of McDonalds and wanting to try Viola's Pizza in Fiorentina. I'll drink to that tonight!

I volunteer to assist in carrying him there. And as a bonus get time off work from the resulting hernia.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha Anderson in Italy the home of food and drink! its like sending Sven Goran Erikkson to abstinance camp :)

Rather strong reports coming from sources close to the club that we have or are very close to sealing a deal for two players this month. One I'm guessing is going to be Coentrao from Madrid. the other, I wouldn't like to guess, hopefully a central midfielder with some creativity and goals in them. But who knows probably another Red Herring. Excuse the pun.

Coantreau on loan and 'A' another? (decent midfielder hopefully)

btw can someone tell me the last player utd got on loan? Utd needing to loan players is a worrying thought

Agree1 Disagree0

Roonbest I believe the last player we had on loan was one Henrik Larsson! Not that worrying considering when we had him on loan we had a very strong team of, Rooney, ronaldo, berba and so on.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok henrik was a good loan deal (for 3 months or so) but it is still worrying that we need to get player's on loan is it not?

Agree1 Disagree1

If it was from any other club I would say possibly. But when buying from Real Madrid they are extremely difficult to deal with. Saying that they are when they wanna buy as well, however I think doing it this way, could be a good thing. Because although fabio Coentrao is a good player, buying him and then him becoming a massive flop in England could turn out to be very costly. So maybe a season long loan isn't such a bad idea after all for if he can't adapt to England as quick as we need him too. We can send him packing with no serious money lost.

Agree3 Disagree1

@roonbest

Wasn't Carlos Tevez a loan? We didn't officially own him to sell him, so I guess that's counted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Roonbest, imo it would be foolish to buy him outright when he's played so little recently. A 6 month loan with option to buy would be ideal in the situation.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lets look at it this way, how many players have barca, bayern, chelsea, city or real loaned in recently? I am not saying it is not a good way to look at a player without committing to buy them, but if this becomes a regular way we do business it will confirm that our owners are NOT even interested in competing with the top clubs for the top players, hence the 'it's a worry post '

Agree1 Disagree0

What are you going on about 'roonbest' how many flops have those teams bought? Granted we have bought flops, which has resulted in many fans whinging and blaming the manager and team around him, but we have fair less considered to are rivals, ares atleast contribute to title successes .
Barca are really restricted to one major signing a year and I can't remember one standing out: Ibra (was it one season?)
David Villa fell out with the Messiah!
Fabs by name (not so fab over there)

Dont get me started on chelsea and city, didn't city send out a whole teams worth on loan?

Agree1 Disagree0

Aaallj5 of course I do not wish our club to waste money and the loan system can be great but my point is that we do not loan in players (only once or twice in the last 10 years) and if this is the way we start doing business then it is an indication of the financial restrictions being placed on the manager, surely you can see this?

Agree1 Disagree0

Or your looking for a we're broke conspiricy and not seing that it would b a good deal 4 us as we need that position filling and he may not b the man for it and we don't look bad or he could be ideal and we b in a strong place to buy him also Madrid don't necessarily want to sell yet?

Agree1 Disagree0

Think we have gone for Coentrao on loan as DM isn't sure about him so loan with option works perfectly

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you heard any more news about this yet ngiak?
