If any of The eds are around,
Do you know if this is a completely optimistic attempt or has sanchez always been a target.? There has been no serious links with him since his days In italy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - it is simply a case of him being seen as a potential option.}

13 Jan 2018 08:07:10
Of course he is an option. He would have been looked at by all major clubs, the same as Ozil, because how many times does a player in his prime in the elite category of his role become available for such deflated cost or potentially for free.

Real, Bayern, Juve and co would also have discussed Alexis but maybe have decided to step back or not register offical interest for whatever reasons. He is a world class player, doesn’t make many stupid media appearances, doesn’t dab, doesn’t get injured too frequently and is passionate about the game.

If ever there was a player to sign it is Sanchez.

Thanks ed. Personally I feel its still a long shot as his mind was probably set on a city move for months now. Perhaps what we can offer is better for arsenal so if his heart is set on city he will sit tight until June.
Perhaps we can sell him our club and the opportunity to achieve legendary status by helping us become champions again. Oh and pay him more😂.

Hi Ed, is he seen as a potential option to Greizman with him seemingly off to Barcelona?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I would not try to complicate matters.}

13 Jan 2018 09:53:06
Over the last three seasons Pogba and Sanchez have both spent 3 months on the sidelines injured, and am I'm not sure the Arsenal fans would agree with you regarding stupid media appearances. But cut lips and a slight sniffle aside you are right Maze, Sanchez doesn't dab, he sulks because he didn't get his move in the summer and causes well documented dress room bust ups.

No doubting Sanchez ability, but if rumours/ reports are correct with his replacement at Arsenal being Malcolm, would like a punt on him instead: cheaper wages by far, longer service, right winger as opposed to AS and hopefully less disruptive. I think he could be a better long term fit and not hinder martial/ rashfords progress.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Malcom would be a Walcott replacement, not a Sanchez replacement.}

13 Jan 2018 11:22:40
Malcolm looks a talent Cookyman but I disagree as we do not need another player with 'potential' seeing as though we have martial, rashford, lingard and even andreas pereira on our books who are young players with 'potential'. We need a finished article who performs consistently at the top level. We have far too many young inconsistent players and when they are all having an off day we have nobody who can step up and take the game by the scruff of its neck. Sanchez is perfect for us and personally I think we are a better fit for him than city. He will be the main man and be one of the first names on the team sheet. And if he gets the number 7 shirt, then he will be one of the most marketable players in the world. Personally, think he is city bound but it is very quiet from his end, city's end and our end. Seems everyone has their poker faces on.

I hope the line "Perhaps we can sell him our club", Ken was a joke?

Why fzz its not the only show in town?

Ken this is not like little school girls trying to sell brownies to raise funds for field trips. This is Manchester United one of the most recognised sporting institutions in the world.

What is exactly are United trying to sell him? They offer what they can and what they believe is reasonable, that is all. There is nothing to sell, you have watched too many episodes of only fools and horses, Maze suggests maybe it is time to try a different show?

Park - totally understand the potential reason you state but do we need a player whose heart isn't in it : another di Maria? I don't think so but we've still got 18 days left. lol

Ed002- sorry when I stated replacement, I was referring to a shiny new player to appease the fans as opposed to playing position:)

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are looking to someone else to replace Sanchez.}

Maybe how we plan on dominating the EPL again at some point, and convince him he can fulfil his ambition of winning the league here? We have finished top 4 once in 4 seasons!

Would it be lemar?

13 Jan 2018 19:18:24
Correct stand. Players if his calibre gave options of lots of clubs with great history and tradition as well as the ' new money ' clubs like city and psg who are attracting some of the world's best. So yes we do need to convice him we are a better option than any of the other great options available. Its not all about offer him what you can financially or he would be off to China.

All this talk of Sanchez has masked the rumour that Vardy is also being considered. Not sure if they would sell or at what price but I think he would slot in much easier, albeit he is a like for like with Lukaku. Sanchez’s attitude worries me, the stories from Arsenal about his isolationist approach do not bode well for team spirit. Hey ho, what do I know?

I hope not. Hateful diving git, Gerrard, suarez, terry, barton, keown, cattermole, Vardy. all the same to me would of hated to see any of them in a red shirt.

That's one heck of a team those lot would make. Lacks some wide players tho.

bfbw, there too much hate in your heart, i'd have had Keown and Suarez any day of the week. Go hug a tree man.

AJH Vardy is a player Maze likes and admired over the years for his tenacity as well as his rags to riches story but to say he is a better option than Sanchez is silly, very silly.

Wake up AJH you are dreaming of poorly fabricated scenarios.

Di Marzio now saying Utd are close to reaching an agreement with Sanchez, just need to negotiate a fee with Arsenal. Hope its true, he's normally bang on!

Guillem Balague says that City are still the front runners. So that must mean he's odds on to join united.

Dan balague also said ddg will join madrid, pogba will go to madrid, lukaku will be a Chelsea player. The man has no clue and knows little other than worshipping guardiola and praising Barcelona and madrid. He thinks only reason to choose utd ahead of city is money, i wonder what he thinks city will pay him in on weekly basis blessings from their brazilian striker?

Guillem Balague is so deep in Pep's ass it's unbelievable.

12 Jan 2018 14:46:00
Guillem Balague lost all of the little respect I had for him when he constantly said Pogba would join Real as they're the 'bigger club'. Di Marzo and the Eds were the ones who I listened to and unsurprisingly they were right.

Balague also said in his tweet it s either pep or money. Poor little city.
