*****BREAKING NEWS*****

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Fergason is to partner Wesley Sneijder with either Yann M'Vila or Bastian Schweinsteiger in a 60 million plus center midfield partnership that will rival any other club including Spanish Giants and European Champions Barcalona.

Wouldn't that be wonderfull to have that midfield for next season, but i think your delusional from your lack of sleep, great boll##king ed007.joeyored

That person who said that kiko tweeted about sneijder will b here soon is full of garbage as I have him on twitter and he's only had it a few days

This is true he did post the comment but took it down moments later.

''Barca have won the race for Sanchez'' Sky sports, No players involved in the swap deal, Straight cash, 44.6m (50m euros)

A.S.H.W.I

Believable16 Unbelievable14

This is not true, i looked into it and yet again just like last time it's the media getting over excited, i think it's getting closer to being a done deal but bottom line is NOT A DONE DEAL

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way Barcelona would pay that amount. Not unless they could pay it of over six installments over six years.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I did'nt realise it was a race for him, i thought it was a foregone conclusion.... Fee's well to high IMO.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

If that is true then No Fabregas, as that is there entire budget gone...

Agree0 Disagree0

If Barca want the player they will get the player, don't believe the BUDGET thing with Barca.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Herbie. They'll find the money for both but doubt Sanchez will cost more than Fabregas. It will more than likely increase pressure on them to sell to balance the books though. Just a thought. Ryan.

I'm hearing that Wes S will sign on the dotted line before the weekend and he will be paraded around the city in a customised pope-mobile type thing surrounded by an envoy of security cars.

This is to make up for the parade that United missed out on when they last won the CL.

Also, a well placed source tells me to expect 2-3 more departures. No names mentioned but it seems likely to be Gibson and possibly Welbeck and/or Cleverley on loan.

Believable10 Unbelievable16

No sure why they'd do the parade thing-perhaps you're joking?

Agree0 Disagree0

No. It's just like parading him at a press conference but doing it more publically, for the fans.

It's something that will become more and more common in the future as clubs want to cause a ground-swell of pride and optimism amongst fans. Expect City to do the same when they finally manage to sign a world class player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or not. No player is bigger than the club, we all know that. I would bet my house that this will not happen if we do sign sneijder

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a picture of the player-mobile on my phone.
It doesn't mean that the player is bigger than the club, it's more about increasing the profile of the club.
Even United constantly strive to raise their profile.
It will be all the rage soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just don't think we would lower ourselves or cheapen ourselves to doing something like that-It's just not something man utd do.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt it very much. It's the kind of nonsense we can expect from the noisy neighbours. Ryan.

Inter Milan's technical director, Marco Branca insists Sneijder isn't for sale.

Believable15 Unbelievable29

People at Inter will continually state their player is not leaving, etc, etc, but ultimately, they will have very little effect on whatever the outcome is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Inter statement from Branca looks a classic "more money please", Onus on united to offer more...

Tomorrow SAF will say, "I don't think he is coming to United. That is all I can tell you. I think that he has agreed to stay at inter."

So this sniejder rumours will end tomorrow...

MD_11

Believable23 Unbelievable8

Where have you got this info from?? Ed, could you confirm this as true ?? HERBIE {Ed007's Note - I haven't heard anything like that}

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you mean tomorrow ? SAF already said this :s

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow d j vu this is exactly what he said about nasri

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he says that as i would rather not sign Sneijder as i feel he'd be disruptive to the dressing room with his wages and could flop.

Agree0 Disagree0

I presume that is the ironic nature in which MD_11 meant it.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

OMG, ....
Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca has denied reports that a £35million deal for Wesley Sneijder has been struck with Manchester United. ...

Well, Inter Director did the job for SAF., .that too today, i predicted it was going to happen tomorrow, ...

Now will u please end this Sneijder SAGA, ..

MD_11

Agree0 Disagree0

MD_11 : How often does a technical director or manager deny a transfer before later revealing that a deal had been struck? Branca's denial proves absolutely nothing. Oh and not that anyone asked for it, my preference for our Scholes replacement is : whoever SAF deems fit to wear the shirt

A rage of rumors after Nasri pushed aside. Every paper is claiming Sneijder is set to sign Wednesday for deal £35 million and weekly wages larger than Rooney. It makes sense but is true? Still not convinced yet until a leaked pic of him having a MU medical if it is true.

Believable15 Unbelievable9

12 Jul 2011 16:16:01
an unnamed inter player has been quoted as saying:
"Everyone expects Wesley's move to United to be announced soon, maybe as early as Wednesday.... It all looks imminent, no matter what Inter or Wesley may say in public. It seems Inter want to sell but don't want to admit it, while Wesley wants to go but doesn't want to say it. It's a good move for him and good business for Inter"

looks like its happening guys.....

Believable19 Unbelievable19

Wow, i have never heard of a person with no name before What do his family and friends call him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Quoted by the sun though, not the most reliable

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be made up, however i don't think this one is. This story gives me great hope that sneijder will come, as tbh it's similar to what i've been thinking.. in the way that sneijder wants to transfer but doesn't want to tell the inter fans because he wants to leave on good terms. Inter know he wants to leave, and as soon as they do there is no point trying to keep them as the motivation wont be there to play to the best of his ability

Agree0 Disagree0

If this was "anyone in the know" it was Gary Neville. Morelikely The Sun made it up to support its 'news'.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah makes sense ill say in public i want to stay and the club wil say not for sale, and then we will jus turn it all round and ill move to united hahaha deluded fans or what

Don't be surprised to see Diarra join the club, 10 million fee is roughly whats quoted. EJ

Valencia to play as ACM if United fail to sign anyone to replace Scholes.

Del Boy

C mon.........Valencia/Nani ... Young/Park/giggs are wingers, ..
We have Anderson as CAM and we will definitely buy one more CAM before the window shuts

Agree0 Disagree0

Valencia is all about pace and his crossing ability so playing him in the middle will not work

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would it not work?? He plays in that position for his country and he's very good at it.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

It is essentially the position Rooney plays anyway

Believable5 Unbelievable8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that actually true? I pray it is - I won't be able to sleep tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i heard a deal has been struck, and will be finalised by friday though not tomorrow.. am hoping its true.. this will help us win CL

jenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I have heard all these rumours on this and other sites....i have also heard plenty saying he is staying at Inter. personally, i think it's to-good-to-be-true to believe that a deal is all but done, and even more optimistic to think that the figure of such a deal would be just £27m. i do hope we get him tho'...so let's wait and see

Agree0 Disagree0

Spanish news saying that Man U have enquired over signing Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid. They have reportedly offered a fee of £22million

Believable12 Unbelievable37

Ramos is not good enough in my opinion, he's good going forward but rubbish in defence, and defence is generally what you want in a right back

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramos not good enough?? are you mad, he's regarded as one of the best right backs in the world.... Carn't see him joining us though simply because it would hinder the twins developments.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramos is one of the best right backs in the world. Defence may be his weak point when compared to his skill going forward - but that is like saying silver is worth less than gold. He's still one of the best full backs defensively and would add a lot going forward.

I did hear that he wanted to leave RM earlier in the summer but doubt that he would come to Old Trafford and doubt that it would be for anything less than £30m.
T0MB0Z

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see SAF wanting this transfer, too old (bearing in mind Manu Utd's transfer policy), too expensive, not great defensively. (no doubting he is a top qulity attacking full back mind) also, a poster in the main page reckons he has signed a new contract @ Real

Dear fellow united supporters,

I dont think we need someone to replace Scholas, we never will. We never replaced keane, it is impossible to find exact replacement for Scholas, ...we might get one or two qualities of scholas, but we wont get another paul scholas.

And i wont be surprised if we dont buy Sneijder or Nasri, or any big name.
United always give chance to youth, and i can see Cleverley and welbeck getting chance to play this season.

Rooney can play in scholas position, and he can play very well, so there is no need spending on that area, ...we are lacking someone like owen hargreaves, so we might end up getting someone like him.

Though i will be happy if we get any one....
The aim is to win league title 20 and champions league title as well.

REDDEAD

Believable9 Unbelievable28

Quite annoying reading 'scholas' over and over again, dont mean to nit pick but the mans a legend, and his name is easier than sneijder's or nasri's lol the one and only great PAUL SCHOLES

safwetrust87

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney cannot play in Scholes' position. He was awful last season. Not talking about goals. His first touch was poor, no confidence, not able to get past men to shoot. He managed to have some luck and score a few decent goals. But he cannot control the midfield and with that the pace of the game. Let him stick to his position and run around. Anderson and Cleverly can do the job better.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree reddead. I think that anderson will be given a chance though and not rooney and someone in the mould of lassana diarra or yann m'villa wil be signed instead

Agree0 Disagree0

What you mean we don't need to replace them? Ofcourse we do, we never replaced the quality of Keane and look how bad our midfield is to Barcalona. Not replacing Scholes with a big name is another bad mistake.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 2nd reply is absolutely spot on. Rooney's first touch and even his passing is nowhere near good enough to be our creative midfielder.
Dingle.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is this Scholas rubbish, idiot.
Dingle is right Rooney doesn't have the first touch to play in Midfield and Anderson certainly isn't the answer.
Has to be Sneidjer for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we do get Sneijder, we need a creative midfielder - Park and Fletcher provide the leg work but Carrick lacks confidence and Anderson to pull his finger out or he should be sold - would love to see Sneijder in a United shirt, more so than Nasri or even Sanchez who I reckon would get kicked all over in them Prem League

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 7th reply:
oh yea cos sneijder is well bulky and wouldn't get kicked around (sarcasm)

clearly you have never seen him play, he's great in serie A, but has motta and cambiasso to protect him.

he wouldn't get kicked, he'd be slaughtered.

all who said a replacemant for owen hargreaves is needed, they are right. we need someone who is comfortable on the ball, can deliver a pass or two, but can do their share of defensive duty aswell.

SAF may have to spend big. as many of the players who fall under this catagory : m'villa, schweinsteiger and javi martinez have all recently signed new contracts.

and excuse me, but rooney has one of the best touches in the EPL and his range of passing is imense, but he cant replace scholes.

vickrum

Agree0 Disagree0

Ideal replacement for hargreaves would be fernando gago from real madrid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooneys first touch is not one of the best in EPL, berba's is better, tevez's is better and many more, rooney needs to stay upfield in the centre like 2 seasons ago were he notched up like 30+ goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney played great last half of last year. He controlled so many games and he passed so well. He doesn't play as Scholes does. He plays a completely different position. Gilly

United will tie up the sneijder deal before the week is out. reported figure around 32.5m.

united still interested in l.diarra but with spurs set to lose modric they look the more likely destination.

tbh i would love it if fergie put a sneaky 6m bid in for s.parker.

gav1982

Believable15 Unbelievable20

Same, parker would be cheaper and l.diarra isnt the same player he was when he left pompey

Id agree with the parker bid, someone who could do a job for 2 or 3 years till the youth steps up ie pogba and tunicliffe

Sneijder to United this week fee - 35m
He's also spoken to his Dutch team-mate Nigel de Jong to find out the best places to stay in Manchester

Believable18 Unbelievable13

I think the nicest part of Manchester is called Cheshire. ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

How are we to believe these people that say a player has spoken to another player about matters like this?
When David De Gea signed, he and his family were taken around the local areas to show what was on offer.

BTW - Cheshire has more Speed Cameras than any other county - So Driving a Bentley Sport may not be a happy event.

Agree0 Disagree0

A high price for a player at his peak? A player that has proved he can operate at the very highest level?
I think 35 mill is the going rate.
Hes 27 and if he was to sign we'd get him on a 5 year contract.
How much do you think Scholes would have been worth at 27?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2011 09:26:51
we have lost 2 full backs (neville and oshea) so i think we need a new fullback and my choice would be kyle walker. in the wnglands under 21's he was excellent..the best player in the team. he would be an amazing replacement and a future world class player. and i think snijder would be another great signing but payments would be to high but still be worth it. he is the best attacking midfielder in the world my eyes and his age of 27 means he has so much experience so he will come raring to go

Believable17 Unbelievable10

Totally agree with the Kyle Walker shout. He is already good now and in a few years will be class. Going to struggle with just rafael at right back as he sometimes doesnt suit playing against certain oposition

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabio plays right back, smalling and jones can both play right back even valenica or fletcher if needs be, we are set dont worry abut that.

1redarmy

Agree0 Disagree0

Never read so much guff, Wlaker is a good player, he had a great game against Spain, but he was awful in the next two matches. Absolutely dreadful. Rafael & Fabio are better players and have been solid in EVERY game they have played in.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought walker jones and welbeck played well , smalling was the best player in the team and the rest were a bit disapointing

Agree0 Disagree0

As a United fan I disagree that Rafael has been solid in every game he has played, in some cases he has looked horrible. Take the Bayern game I think they will both develop into quality players but I would say that we need another full back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tottenham wont sell walker. harry loves young english talent.

good player but only as good as raphael and fabio. waste of money as harry wont let him go on the cheap

vickrum

Agree0 Disagree0

The Brazilian twins are great going forward but can be rash in a tackle and are not always defensively sound. Think signing a quality right back is a must rather than make do playing current squad players out of their best position.

Nani is not going to Inter as part of Sneijder deal it will be £32.6m or the deal will not happen as said before utd will not match Malaga offer Inter meeting 2mora to see if they willing to accept offer if they do then deal should be done.

Believable18 Unbelievable12

Malaga wants Sneidjer but he wont go there..I still think Inter wont sell Sneidjer, first they need to sell him as soon as possible , second they wont sell him on the cheap as they need a replacement.I can only see them selling Sneidjer if Utd give a top player + money
And i think Sniedjer wants to stay at Inter and may just want to increase his salary with all his talks..
