It seems United have compromised with Blackburn and we will sign Jones for £20m. I have to say it is a small price to pay for a decent Englishman, a player that we will have for at least 13 years. Future United & England captain.

Jones & De Gea for a combined £38m seems a lot, but they are both future World class talent and they are just 19 & 20 respectively. Add them to Smalling (21) and the twins (20). We are set for many many years at the back.

United signs David de Gea, according to his Facebook page. Can't tell you if it's legit or not.

His quote "Adi s Madrid y GRACIAS por todo ! Hola Manchester !
Bye Bye Madrid and THANKS ! Good morning Man U !"

here is the link to his page:

Question for Ed002 if she is about? Today we have learned that Barcelona are turning their attentions to Eden Hazard. Does this mean they too are getting frustrated with the Udine side? Do you know if United are still in the mix for either Hazard or Sanchez.

And what do you think would be ab offer for Sanchez, that Udinese couldn't refuse? What do you think is the true valuation to buy Sanchez?

Thanks Ed

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I don't see that anything has changed from what we have seen before and know to be correct. It will likely drag out. My views on Hazard are well known as well. Hazard signed a new contract with Lille and if he cannot get a move that suits him (Barcelona and Real Madrid were his preference) then he could stay and play in the Champions League next year. Juventus are very keen but cannot offer football at the highest level right now. Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, Spurs and Barcelona have shown interest or admiration for the player. I would not be surprised to see Manchester United throw their hat in to the ring as well.}

ED, Do you have any info on Alexis Sanchez ? Is SAF really an admirer of him or is it just rumours and do you tink Utd will sign him ??? {Ed002's Note - We know that Chelsea, Manchester City and Inter Milan have made unsuccessful bids, and we know that Manchester United and Barcelona have a declared interest. Juventus had previously been interested but were hoping that (a) Sanchez stayed under the radar until a deal could be struck, and (b) Udinese would look kindly on an arrangement that included some cash and several players either in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. As an aside Juventus have proposed a similar deal for Javier Pastore. Anyway, there was a January meeting with Chelsea in Monaco and broad agreement was reached over the transfer before Giampaolo Pozzo said that the deal must include a loan of the player back to Udinese. Whilst Barcelona were apparently willing to agree to this until the end of the season, Pozzo proposed that whoever Sanchez moved to should allow him to be loaned back for 18 months – hence the end of any discussions. I expect that Juventus will not come back in to the picture. Although Sanchez has been watched by numerous teams including Roma, there is nothing new other than Manchester City having a bid rejected for the player and Inter entering further discussions about the player - but I am told that no further bid has been made. Manchester City, like Juventus, were knocked back in a bid for Pastore and are likely to aim their cheque book in another direction – this may well be another bid for Sanchez. The advantage they have, in addition to being able to match any transfer fee, is the ability to put together a wage deal far beyond anything the other clubs could afford or would be willing to pay. I suspect that we will see this whole saga drag out through the summer transfer window as Pozzo puts the player on the market, takes him off the market, values him at €100M and so on. Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter will all likely remain interested but could well tire of the expected drawn-out negotiations. Manchester United and Chelsea were both originally wary of the player being not quite as robust as needs be for the EPL. Perhaps Inter will get their man or perhaps Sanchez will respond positively to reported interest from the nice folks at Barcelona or even Real Madrid. There is an unconfirmed report that Manchester United have asked for time to consider a further bid. The player has made no secret of his desire to stay in Italy. An enquiry from Anzhi Makhachkala has also been rebuffed at the first hurdle. I have speculated that Manchester United may turn their attentions to Eden Hazard instead.}

Sneijder says "God will decide my future" so he is pretty much available AGAIN .... so ed ... who would u choose? Nasri? Sneijder?

why cant united afford sneijder's wages, reportedly £150,000 per week, but they can afford pay gashley young £130,000 per week, obviosly this is a bulls**t reason why they havent signed or announced the signing yet, surely if ashley young is worth that then sneijder is worth double at least ??

reddev77 {Ed012's Note -I very much doubt that would be the case. Spurs have a plethora of CMs- Modric, VDV (Kinda), Sandro, Huddlestone, Jenas

He'd be a very good signing for QPR or fulham IMO however. }

Just read on sky sports website that barca are makin der move for eden hazard, looks like they're giving up on sanchez because i think fabregas is their main target and they have to go 4 hazard as the cheaper option to sanchez, really hope fergie tries to sign him, he would be amazing 4 us. also just seen that snejider said he's not 100% staying at inter but if he does he will give his all 4 them... Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer winger Nani in part exchange for Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder. Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson is still intent on making a move for the Dutch international even though he has stated he is happy to remain at the San Siro.

Nani had a hugely successful season individually last term, netting nine goals and topping the Premier League assist league but the Portuguese international still found himself out of the first team for large chunks of the second half of the season.

Ferguson is now willing to offer the 24 year old as well as £20m in cash in the hope that such a proposal would entice Leonardo into selling Sneijder. The Brazilian boss is said to be an admirer of Nani and may feel that such an offer would be worth considering.

A previous sticking point in a potential deal to sign Sneijder had been his demands for £175k a week but apparently Ferguson has the sign off from the Man United board for just such an offer and a lot now depends on whether the former Ajax and Real Madrid man is tempted by a move to the Premier League champions. {Ed012's Note - £20m + Nani seems like too much to me. I wouldn't want anything more than Nani + £10m Max.}

Attention all Man united fans...

I posted on Thursday that united had as much as 100 million to spend this summer and it will be there biggest ever spending spree in the Prem, and it could go to 130+ if they sell a few players! that post got 34 unbelieve's, now as anybody read today's papers?
i said they would be making as many as 6 new signings 3 being world class, 3 players have already been signed, but none of these 3 are the 3 "world class" players (de gea, yound, jones) its an attacking center midfielder, a solid defensive midfielder, and an attacking winger/forward that they are going for. attacking midfielder - sneijder/modric/young
defensive midfielder - sweinsteiger/diarra/rodwell
attacking winger/forward - sanchez

also Giggs will retire this summer so the 2 key areas that they are improving are left wing and with scholes retired centre midfield!

**watch this space, these will all be announced in the next fortnight**

the names RED D MAN, remember my name when it happens guys, i havent been wrong yet {Ed012's Note - How do you know Giggs is going to retire?}

Man utd almost completed signings:

De gea(have to wait until July 1st)
Young(on holiday will be finalised when he comes back)
Jones(Blackburn want more money but deal will be done soon)

Targets:

Modric(totenham want 35m for him)
Or snjieder(would cost around 35m wages and wages £150,000 a week that's why SAF would want to sign Modric)

Sanchez(would rather choose utd over barca because he would not get 1st team football at barca, up to SAF to make bid)
Nasri(don't know if he actually wants to come or weather he wants more wages at arsenal)

I would like to see Modric and Sanchez at utd next season and hopefully not sign young. What do u think ed?

bayern munich with 200 m cash for spending also enter race for nasri
they have plans to replace ribery whose contract ends soon with nasri, wages not an issue.

it all depends on nasri

if he moves to bayern it may be because of these reasons
1.get money more than he is demanding at arsenal
2.real challangers for bundesliga
3.wenger more than happy to sell to a bayern that to a english rival(if nasri also interested)

reasons for moving to utd
1.get money what he is demanding
2.champions 19, would be 20
3.may rate bundesliga lower than PL
4.attracted by united's CAM vacant hole

wenger is the only stumbling block if he really wants UTD
if he moves to city then it is like gareth barry and liverpool saga

Bayern vs United for Samir Nasri

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are set to fight Manchester United to try to sign Arsenal's Samir Nasri.
The financially well-off club have £200 million to spend, according to the Daily Mail, and are keen to bring in Nasri as an eventual replacement for compatriot Franck Ribery, who is nearing the end of his current contract.
This will make Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's task of keeping the 23-year-old even tougher, given that Bayern, the fourth richest club in the world, can afford to give Nasri a pay-check he cannot refuse.
However, United will certainly not give up in their pursuit for the player, as their other targer, Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder, has asked for £250,000-a-week in order to join the Red Devils.
United are also losing interest in Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell, who is now a target for Tottenham Hotspur instead.
According to reports from the Independent, the current Barclays Premier League champions will try to snap up the Frenchman at a bargain £8 million, as Nasri has only one year left on his current deal with the Gunners.
Both United and Nasri's representatives met up in Manchester on Thursday, and this latest development will not be good news for Gunner manager Arsene Wenger, who will now have to decide if he should keep the player on his contract based on principle, or sell him to ensure that the London side does not miss out on a valuable transfer fee.

"Then, only God will decide where my future lies.

"I can be certain of one thing: if I remain at Inter, then I will give my all to win everything again.

"When you have had the greatest and most surprising year of your life, it's only natural that the next will be less rewarding. Not everything can be perfect.

"Having said that, I had fun in my second year with Inter and was satisfied, even if we didn't win everything. At least this way we still have a few more objectives to reach.

"I love Inter with all my heart."

Wesley Sneijder quote.

That means he's definitely off then when they start saying that its down to god what happens next.
Big question is where can we pull it off Personally i would love Sneijder and Nasri.

Oh another thing to all those banging on about not needing wide men cos we have park behave really?? his work rate is great but do u honestly think Europe's top defenders worry when they have to face him. United have always been associated with out and out wingers who terrorize defences.
Hopefully we have got that again with Young And Toni pace on both sides. Would like to see us cash in on Nani hes peaked little as it was and with the money obviously Sanchez if not Kagawa from Dortmund great skills and balance and will become a wanted man very soon and for a bargain £15 million max

Ins: De Gea 18 million
Jones 20 million
Young 18 million
Outs: brown, Gibson o Shea 15 million
Oberten loan
Bebe loan
Possibly jones back to blackburn on loan

Sanchez will not happen mainly because of the price and that we would have 4 top class wingers (park valencia nano young)
We know we need a central midfielder but who?

Well modric probably wont happen because Harry will not sell him (it would take something like 35 45 million to change mind)
Nasri looks like he wants to stay at arsenal ( only using united move to get wages at arsenal)
Every body wants sneidjer (includin SAf)but does he wanna come? Wages r not a problem

I would be most surprised if Berbatov remained at Old Trafford given all the circumstances around him. So it would leave us a striker light, I dont believe Welbeck is similar enough in style to Hernandez so we would have to change our style of play for him as well. We have been linked with Benzema, however there is a potential new controversy if the papers are to be believed, Aguero looks lined up to play at the Madrid Circus.

There is someone English who perhaps we could look at. He is from the north which would make it easier for him to settle and there are rumours his club would sell at about £20M. He plays in a similar way to Hernandez so we wouldnt have to change our style like we do with Berbatov. He has potential and can score goals.

Dean Sturridge.

Mundo Deportivo is interesting today... It's effectively Barca's paper (in the same way Marca is Madrid's). It leads on Arsenal rejecting an offer of £35m plus Thiago and Bojan for Fabregas (seems unlikely - I'd bite their hands off for the injury prone moody fop at that price), then follows up with a story about him being Barca's absolute number 1 target this summer. It goes on to say that, although they are targetting Sanchez and Rossi, the Sanchez price is too high (£25m + Bojan) and that they may have to look at Plan B. At first I thought, what would they want Plan B for? Decent tunes but I wouldn't have thought he was good enough for Barca. Turns out they meant plan B - Eden Hazard.

This sounds like Barca breaking the news that they've failed to get Sanchez gently to their fans. So - us or City?

To clarify, SAF has said he is not interested in listening to offers for Chicharito, however, if Real offer Ronnie back, he may change his mind.

With regards to Jones, ignore all the press about Littlepool, they can offer as much as they want, Jones WANTS to come to us, they can't make him go there if he doesn't want to...and no-one would want to go there!

Fergie wants world class players or players that he is sure will be world class, no maybes allowed.

Jones deal is sorted. No worries about LFC trying to hijack him as he already turned them down. Just seems the owners are very naive and the ABU press making a mountain out of a molehill

"The back page of tomorrow's Sunday Mail makes for interesting viewing - it basically says Man United's bid for Phil Jones is in tatters and that Liverpool have stepped in with a £22million offer."

@Jones has chosen to join United, how is Liverpool offering more money going to change his mind? Blackburn cannot force him to join a club that he does not wish to join.

These are the players we are going to sign:

De Gea 18 m

Jones 18 m

Young 17 m

Nasri 20 m

We are going to have to pay top dollar for Nasri as Wenger will not let him go easy.
If Nasri falls through we will go for Modric 35 m, Harry will look for top dollar!

Players to leave:

Brown and Gibson to Sunderland for 8 m
Kuszczak to West brom for 4 m
Bebe and oberton loan deals

You agree Ed?
