United won't sign rodwell unless everton agree to just 10mill upfront and the rest in add ons, this won't happen as everton need the cash an united can't afford to pay up in full. Scott parker is the next target after rodwell

They only post concrete stuff! so maybe this has got something in it for real!

@Hi guys, I have heard that the £25m has been agreed in principle, it's the amount of add-ons that is still being discussed. United want to pay £15m cash and the rest in possible add-ons. Goetze is also being pursued and could be available for a fee as low as £10m.

I read this sight daily and am a life long manchester united fan but have never posted before because ive never heard nothing that can't be read on the internet. But, a friend of mine is a contractor in manchester and a few of the builders who used to work for him are working on a large property just outside manchester and he has been told that it has been purchased by Mourihno. As far as i knew sir alex had said he wanted to stay on 2 more years so maybe he is going to city, anyway my pal has no reason to lie but it could be false just thought i would let you all know.
Hab.

"{Ed001's Note - what if the player has made it plain he wants to go to United? That would keep the price reasonable wouldn't it?}"

Something interesting to add to this. A friend of mine has just told me that the reason Chelsea signed Ramires was because Modric refused to join them and that talks have already taken place between him and United.Chelsea tried to convince him during January but were unable to do so again.

And the same goes for Rodwell and United are ready to offer players in the deal to Everton.

Personally i don't know what to make of this, but somebody here also stated about meeting between United and Modric as well.

Have you heard anything ed?

REDFAITH {Ed002's Note - No but I can confirm that Ramires was not signed due to Modric not making the move.}

In reply to;

Modric is much more likely to join than Cotze, especially if Spurs fail to qualify for Champs League. I believe Scholes will retire this summer and go out on a high. Not many premierships players out there who could replace the little mystro, Modric would be a hit.

Rodwell is also on Fergie's wish list but he wants him summer 2012.

@ In a perfect world Modric (Rodwell backup) and a keeper plus left footed left winger would be great! I fear we don't have the money to compete! I have heard were in for Modric but I cannot believe this as I doubt we have the funds to compete, I think if we were to get into a bidding war with chelsea/ city (who would both be interested) we would be burnt! I have no doubt in my mind we will spend this summer, but we need to replace Giggs Scholes Vds and possibly even G Nev!

Joe Cole to Spurs will allow Redknapp to make a nice profit on Modric - United to sign the Croatian for c£26m in the summer. No insider knowledge or friend of a friend source, just good old fashioned speculation.

Hargreaves to accept a 12 month pay as you play deal, I guess he feels some loyalty, we've paid his wages for 2 years after all. CM of Fletcher or Anderson plus Modric ably supported by Carrick and Gibson and you never know, perhaps Hargreaves too. Paul Pogba is highly regarded within OT, I reckon he'll be eased into the squad next season.

Modric to replace Scholes, one in, one out. I can see Redknapp doing a deal. What do you think Ed?

Stockie {Ed001's Note - I think Modric is very likely, along with Rodwell, I was told that Modric stayed to play in the Champions League with Tottenham and that VDV was bought to replace him. I have no idea how true that is as it came from the financial side of the club, so I don't know how much the person that told me would actually know and how much they were merely speculating.}

"With all this talk about gaz nev going to lisbon a sure bet is inquiries about coentrao who is a perfect fit for united great feet and vision really impressed me at the WC. For midfield/ cm he could also fill in as anderson looks like he can hold, kagawa could also be a great addition for such a youngster he has already grasped when to go and when not to, so if your (wisely) reading my comment sir alex invest in these 2 bright prospects."

Coentrao is not a holding mid and loves to play down the wings. Don't get me wrong I think he's a great player with a great future but with Evra staying we don't need another wingback - plus we have the twins. Just because we have a scout go to a country doesn't necessarily mean we are picking anyone up from there right away.

Thoughts Ed? {Ed001's Note - I seem to remember him being a left winger Portugal played at left back because they didn't have one. Is it possible he is the answer to the left wing problem?}

Dear supersub
as it is just my speculation and could easily be wrong as no-one knows what goes on outside traffords 4 walls but i thought it could be coentrao because he is a utility player and with chris smalling on fire i don't think were in desperate need of a cb as even though j.evans looks to have no confidence in himself, ritchie de laet is out on loan in chmpship and playing well and ferdinand still has 1 or 2 seasons left in those withering legs
