I am almost sure that Raphael Varane has been signed. I am also almost certain that David de Gea has been as good as signed. I think the fee has been agreed and the contract nearly agreed. I think these signing are going to improve us immensely. I really feel Wes Brown will leave and I feel De Laet will leave as well. I really felt we needed Martinez/ Sahin. Sahin nas gone to Real Madrid and Martinez has a new contract. I now feel we need to get Arturo Vidal. Gilly

All these people on here know nothing, I can assure you that United are NOT after De Rossi, Sneijder is the main target along with Rodwell and De Gea. You all talk about Morrisson and Pogba yet none of them have even featured in the carling cup yet, yes they will be coming through but only as very bit part players.

So what's new with Sneijder?

Although the posting below claims to be from me I can guarantee you that it was not The Seagull who posted ! Capital letters alone do not a Seagull make ! However, the real Seagull does agree with some of the comments - Sneijder is a non starter [we were offered him as part-ex for Ronaldo and Fergie refused - do you honestly believe he will now initiate a £60m+ transfer i.e. fee and wages ?] and there is some interest in Sanchez. True, Ravel and Paul are high in SAF's thinking - but no more than bit players for next 2 seasons - SAF always brings youngsters on slowly to ensure their longevity. Hazard has never been on the list. Steklenberg [nice one - you read too many tabloids and follow too many red herrings thrown around by our coaching staff ! ! ]. Yes, Fergie will spend this summer, and as posted last year, the main priority is still De Rossi. Talks are on-going -believe me. Do not completely rule out Xavi [hence why City have been sniffing around. They KNOW about the meetings held in a London institution three weeks ago between interested parties]. Although last year it was believed at the time that SAF would not renew interest in Xavi in 2011/ 12, it appears he may make one final effort to sign the player he regards as one of best in Europe. Who knows. If De Rossi/ Xavi cannot be purchased the answer will lie with a midfielder who has Italian connections. This deal will be given green light if the others fail. The goalkeeping situation is 85% finalised - and it will raise a few eyebrows when/ if announced. All of these deals will be completed within three weeks of window opening - much work has gone on in background to ensure quick deals should all parties agree to terms
THE SEAGULLFERGIE HAS DECIDED THAT YOUTH IS THE BEST WAY FORWARD. HE WILL INCORPORATE RAVEL MORRISON , RYAN TUNNICLIFFE , PAUL POGBA , JOSHUA KING , TOM CLEVERLEY AND DANNY WELBECK INTO THE FIRST TEAM
FREDRICO MACHEDA WILL BE SOLD AS HE DISREGARDED FERGIE'S ADVICE AND WENT TO ITALY
I CAN CONFIRM THAT DE GEA WOULD NOT BE BROUGHT
MARTEEN STEKLENBERG IS THE PREFERRED OPTION
ALSO SNEIJDER'S AGENT IS CREATING ALL THESE RUMOURS ABOUT UNITED . HE WONT BE BROUGHT IN.
RAPHAEL VARANE WOULD BE BROUGHT WITH OBERTAN GOING ON LOAN . EITHER OF
EDEN HAZARD AND ALEXIS SANCHEZ WOULD BE BROUGHT

Owen is attracting intrest from Rangers. Also both Old firm are keeping an eye on Lindegaard & Cleverley as possible long term loan deals. {Ed007's Note - Why would Rangers need a GK, even if McGregor goes Neil Alexander is more than capable of taking over in goal. Celtic are also still hopeful of signing Kieran Westwood, and as for Cleverley, I can't comment on Rangers, but one thing Celtic do not need is MFs}

Ed do you think that Berbatov and Owen will leave? I can't see SAF letting both of them go. .Please let me know what you think! {Ed007's Note - Owens contract is up so it's not really up to AF what he does and I think if an offer comes in for Berbatov, it will be closely looked at}

Neuer GONE GONE GONE

Bayern finally snap up Manuel Neuer

Bayern Munich have finally lured Manuel Neuer to the Allianz Arena, but will have to pay up to 25 million to Schalke.
According to reports from Bild, the Bavarians negotiated with Schalke for over three hours, and will pay 18 million upfront for the 25-year-old, with an addition 7m a possible part of the transfer, with 3m guaranteed, and the remaining 4m in performance-related bonuses.
Neuer will also sign a four-year deal with the Bundesliga giants.
According to Schalke's sporting director Horst Heldt, it was touch and go with the transfer, as Schalke were reluctant to let go of their prized asset for any less than a huge offer.
"The offer from Bayern was not worth mentioning, not acceptable.
"It is seriously worth considering keeping the world's best goalkeeper for another year, " he said in April.
There are further reports indicating that Schalke will seek to replace Neuer with Ajax Amsterdam's Maarten Stekenlenburg.
With just one year left on his contract, the Dutchman is now hot property, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and Tottenham all suitors for his services.
He will not come cheap though, with the 28-year-old custodian valued at around 12 million.
Heldt told the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper: "Stekelenburg is the goalkeeper for the Dutch national team and that is not without reason.
"His contract with Ajax is for one more year. But it is not certain that Neuer will leave."

So De Gea Seems Certain

Made a post yesterday but have been given a contradicting story, again from a middle man claiming a different source though, and find myself stuck in two minds about which is more plausible, if either.

"Sneijder will Not join Man United, because the club have not renewed interest in signing the player and show no sign of doing so.

The preferred option is Mario G tze, from Dortmund, as Sir Alex is looking to bring in a host of youngsters which will go on to be his last great team, similiar to that of the Giggs, Scholes, Beckham era.

In addition to G tze, De Gea, Alcantara, Hazard and Chamberlain are also on the list, as well as youngsters from both the academy and Desportive Brasil coming through in the next 18 months. Rooney is likely to play the "Cantona role" as the heart of team"

As before info is from a middle man, and I personally cannot vouch for the authenticity of any information.

MU will not splash out on an attacking midfielder, such as sneider or kaka or pastore, MU have rooney, they will sign only a goal keeper, (looks like de gea) and prehaps another defensive midfielder with skill on the ball, such as m'villa, diarra, or prehaps modric as tot haven't got into the CL

Ed, What so you know about Gamiero?

I don't think i've ever seen him play but he's been very impressive this season (stats wise). And apparently he's available for under £15 Million? If he's as good as his stats suggest maybe it'll be worth a punt if we lose Berbatov and with the consideration of a fatigued hernandez?

he's only 24? I think.

The Moon. {Ed007's Note - Not seen him myself, but done a bit of digging and it seems his preference is Spain, he agreed personal terms with Valencia in January, but no fee could be agreed from what I understand.}

United appear to have secured the services of Raphael Varane, seeing off competition from Arsenal and Real Madrid. No disclosed fee, but further info to follow.
City attempting to scupper Uniteds chances with Sneijder, however, sources claim the player has a preference for Old Trafford over all other destinations.

"Don't shoot the messenger but i was told an offer of in the region of £25 million has come in from an unknown club for Javier Hernandez, the Glazer's will force the sale as they see it as a good turn around and will offer Michael Owen a contract extension and recall Danny Welbeck instead of replacing the Mexican striker. Source said maybe Real Madrid are the club. ."

@A very lame attempt mate. It would take double that amount for United to even consider a sale. £25m would get laughed at. Atletico Bilbao are laughing at £30m bids for Llorente, Udinese laughing at £25m bids for Sanchez, Palermo laughing at £30m bids for Pastore and you think Manchester United, the biggest club in the world are excited about a poxy £25m offer for the hottest striker around at the moment.

Grow up!

@ You must be having a laugh, the only reason United sell players that are doing really well (and i think everyone in the world would agree he's doing really well) is because the player in question wants a move ala Ronaldo. This will not happen any time soon.
