Ronaldo won't be coming back. While the man, who made him what he is today, was coaching his last match at Old Trafford, he was happily watching Nadal playing tennis. He should have been at Old Trafford at that moment to pay respect to SAF.

Just a quick question to everyone on a Stella signing this summer, hit believable for bale and unveleivable for ronaldo! Personally I'd take bale over ronaldo

Believable70 Unbelievable52

I think Bale's career will decline when his pace does.

Ronaldo is far and above superior technically, looks after himself very well, could play for years.

The love for Ronaldo at OT, the effect it could have, that in itself would be huge.

Viva Ronaldo all the way!

Agree7 Disagree0

Cant believe so many think we will get Bale, can no one remember the Modric saga last year? We would have to pay about £70-80m to get him from Spurs with Levy involved. Ronaldo would be cheaper IF he was available and Bale is nowhere near his quality.

whether Rooney stays or goes, and judging by the reception he received on his appearance this afternoon, most supporters couldn't care less! is this not a case of the tables being turned, he the one who threatened to depart due to his perception that the club no longer matched his ambitions, then that same club having lost the premiership by the narrowest of margins signed the one player whose ambition and drive promptly helped them win it back again! Robin Van Persie it seems is more perceptive than Wayne Rooney.

Believable78 Unbelievable8

He has never been the main man and I think he cannot handle that. First was RVN then Ronaldo now RVP.
I personally don't see how he fits in the team anymore, doesn't warrant a starting place that's for sure.
To put in not one but two transfer requests shows he hasn't got the club in his heart anymore.

The true supporters support the jersey. players come and go, we love many and some remain in our hearts, but a guy asking for a transfer twice in three years shows little respect. maybe if he gets himself to the proper fitness he should have and got his act together he would be much better. his standards have dropped, ours haven't

Agree7 Disagree0

It's time for him to go. As you said Cheetham Lad, the tables have been turned and the fans are now showing an indifference towards him. I still feel he has something to offer, but to put in two transfer requests is disgraceful and the club should let him go to the highest bidder. We as a club always move on and we will will next year after the upheaval that has gone on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let him go, or more like taxi for Rooney. I have no idea what is wrong with him. Perhaps he needs to do a job that is not fun like myself. I then spend a lot of money to see someone like him go through the motions. I would have loved the chance to be a professional footballer and to have been at United would have been the best life could offer. Rooney needs to take a long hard look at himself and hopefully for his sake figure out what a great life he should have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personality I would perfer Rooney to go, £40m you can have him.

I would love a swap deal thou Rooney/Nani for C. Ronaldo but can't see it happening

Richmond

Agree2 Disagree0

Utd should tell him the price is 35-40 million, if some club is stupid enough to pay it then fine, if not tell him the reserves are training on another pitch and he's no longer part of first team squad. his sponsors will soon get fed up of him not playing

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like SAF said, he's upset about being taken off a few times but a Wayne Rooney on top form would not get taken off! So true but you think of Wayne's poor immature narrow minded attitude with it all I now couldn't care less if he left.

Infact offer him to spurs with £10m for Gareth Bale! He wouldn't be dangerous playing for spurs as he'd have even less motivation than he does now at one of the top clubs in the world.

Do us all a favour rooney and head off to spain or france, i'm sure there are hair resteration clinics in either of those countries.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Rooney's reaction is due to a player who last season scored 34 goals (second time he's done that) being shuffled around and seemingly not given much of a chance this season. How would you feel if you were him?

Ed002

Which other clubs are interested in Di Maria apart from Man Utd? From which club do we face any competition to sign him?

Shaun {Ed002's Note - It has been more a case of RM offering Di Maria up as part of any deals for players they are looking to do. Realistically, at this time Manchester City might be another side that could want him.}

Believable15 Unbelievable7

Have Madrid offered Di Maria to United as part of a deal for somebody? If so who? Rooney? Hernandez? Nani?

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed002 - Who are RM offering Di Maria as a part of a deal for at United? {Ed002's Note - They are not.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I guess they are going to offer him as part of a deal for Bale? Ed if we were to go in for him, how much would he cost? {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in discussing money.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Di maria? why? he would be riubbish in pl

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't want him here either

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch a replay of the first leg against Real Madrid this season. We couldn't get near him. Looked very dangerous and not as flimsy as his reputation suggests. I say yes.

Agree1 Disagree0

Look at ronnie, he was fouled constantly to start with at utd then he used skill, power and pace to get past everybody! now he's pure class! madrid bought the near finished article in ronnie, because he'd played in the premiership and took the knocks and bruises!

Ed002, do you believe Di Maria may transfer to United this summer?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - There is certainly a chance that he will.}

Believable22 Unbelievable18

They must sign him

Anybody know why we are linked w/ Benzema? Is he available? I don't see him leaving RM unless it's for a lot of money.

ed, if the story of gill going to spain to discuss di maria is true, can you see us selling another winger other than nani?

also I have long been a fan of gaitan, and believe he would be an excellent lw for us, esp as he likes to drift in so could swap with kagawa to confuse defences.
i know the sticking point with gaitan is money but who do you personally think would be a better fit for utd, gaitan or di maria?

{Ed002's Note - Yes it is true.}

One of the eds mentioned a few days back that Gill had been in Spain to talk to Madrid about Di Maria. any developments on this? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Andy, Ed,
This really shocked me when I read the post earlier in the week. Di Maria is a great player but I thought it would be Ronaldo we were pushing for.
Ed as the Di Maria interest does have some meat to it does this mean that Ronaldo will not be returning to OT this year, in your opinion?

Paul {Ed002's Note - It is what it is. That is all.}

does Manchester United still hold an interest in signing james rodriguez?
there were a lot of rumours about him but has gone cold for the past 3-4 weeks
plz do answer ED/EDs {Ed002's Note - Yes but the issue remains the price and the club has moved attention to others.}

Believable4 Unbelievable11

I am not surprised he is not worth 35 million in a million years. I wonder if some of the posters watch these guys. I have watched him maybe 20 times this year and whilst he has the excellent game her and there, but in no way a 35 million player.

I would rather pay 10 million for mcmanaman than 35 milion for rodriguez. He is better but not 25 million better believe me.

Hi Eds, is there any interest in Florian Thauvin? I am not sure how accurate this is but it was reported there was interest from Newcastle and Arsenal who he turned down for Lille. Its unlikely he will move without having played for them yet but he seems a real gem in was wondering where interest lies.

Thank you. {Ed002's Note - Bastia's Florian Thauvin had attracted a bids from Newcastle and Ajaccio that were rejected. Lyon, Arsenal and Nancy took a look at the player before Christmas but he decided to move to Lille. Once his loan is over at Bastia he will return to Lille.}

Ed is Isco on the market/have Man city got a deal done for him to come with Pellegrini? {Ed002's Note - There is no "deal done" for Isco but he will be moving this summer.}
