As I stated a couple of days back: David De Gea will be staying at Atletico. He is/ was our number one target, we had an offer accepted a couple of weeks ago but he feels he isn't ready to leave his family at such a young age. Our number 1 target is now Pepe Reina.

I hear city and chelski are all over Sanchez at the moment. Shame I thought he could he great if United were interested in him. Ed Sydney! MPez have you heard anything similar?
United Till I Die 1987 {Ed001's Note - I have not heard anything new, Chelsea spoke to his club in January but nothing came of it, City have since been pushing for him. Clubs are still worried he is not robust enough for the Prem.}

I have just heard from a reliabe source that De gea, has agreed a deal with Manchester United and his Manager have agreed terms, but can't put pen to paper untill the transfer window is open, And more rumours ed?

I think Manchester United should sign de Gea as he is a very gouged keeper . i also think we should sign adel taarabt, done well in the championship. our marquee signing should be Sneijder for 20 million and berbatov. we should also sign darren ambrose great prospect.

Evra isn't playing bad because of a rebellion mate! He has played far too many games imo, and fatigue has caught up with him. He needs a good month's rest.
If we he is to leave though, then Coentrao or Baines (impressed with him this year, been excellent) will be more than good enough.

@He has been poor all season, not just the end. I think Baines is decent enough going forward but I am not sure about his defending. But I would trust whatever SAF decides to do, if indeed he wants to pursue another LB. Izaguirre or Coentrao would be my choice.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Yes, Chelsea did make an offer a while ago - and that offer included the player being loaned back. He was not the only goalkeeper Cheslea were interested in as Akinfeev was subject to an offer as well. It is not necessarily anything to do with Cech leaving either. Think laterally about it. There will be limitations imposed by the FFP considerations in the future. Players who are out on loan have been paid for but do not need to be counted as part of a team's squad until they are declared. As such, several taems have started not just to look at kids for the future, but at players who have already made the grade but are still young. The sale can be agreed now and the player left on loan for a year or so. It makes a lot of sense.}

David de gea has officially signed for united. We will however have to wait till the summer to put him in our squad. Shnider is yet to sign on the dotted line. Nani is not going anywhere. {Ed002's Note - De Gea cannot "officially" sign until the transfer window opens.}

Cant see nani in a swap with snjeider. Think Manchester United may bid for him or modric along with a dm and a gk.
Ed what do you think, is this just agents trying to get players better contracts etc {Ed001's Note - I doubt it is either personally, I think it is just more paper talk to stir up sales.}
Nani needs to improve his end product rest of team frustrated cos he just tries to shoot and not put in killer ball, fergie tells him but doesn't change, you know what happens if he doesn't

It's been said a million times on here. De Gea has a 20m euro buy-out clause which roughly equates to 16.6m pounds. That clause is only for spanish sides. A foreign team could get him for less if Atletico accept, but they could not demand more than that (for obvious reasons).
SAF was asked about this deal after the game and he said "There's always speculation about who we sign. I can't tell you". This to me suggests the deal is as good as done.

According to the radio station who revealed we'd had a bid accepted, arsenal have also had a bid accepted, don't know if it's true, also people are posting it's a done deal except for him signing, in my mind that's the most important part, if he hasn't signed a pre contract then it's not a done deal
