My friend has just phoned me and he claims that he 'knows' who the Chilean player will be, Sanchez will not be signed and apparently the player being signed is Arturo Vidal, completely shocked by this little 'rumour'/ Possible 'in the know'. Well i say signed the term he used was 'advanced negotiation stage', Apparently Sanchez was a target until late October but something happened, to which i am not aware of. Both Sanchez and Arturo Vidal were targets, but seeing as Hargreaves is certainly leaving United at the end of the season either through retirement or contract expiration it means we're moving for Vidal, I don't see why we need to replace someone we barely had anyway but Sir Alex knows best i assume. Anyway there you have it apparently Arturo Vidal is the newest addition to the growing list of 'done deals' that we've apparently got. I was never told when this 'deal' would be done, all i've been told is he is the man we are now chasing. Don't hold me to this but if it comes off i know who my source is going to be.

Ed my friend doesn't believe me that chelsea owe 700mil to abramovich do they? {ed's note - he has turned it to equity, so technically no they don't, I guess.}

@Chelsea do not owe Roman Abramovich any money but Chelsea Ltd owe Roman 726m and he can call it in if Chelsea ever make profits (Unlikely) or if he sell the club.

I am friends with someone inside the football i cannot say his name because of his job within the club however what he told me suprised and shocked me .

evra is off to madrid 20m or a swap with ramos if terms can be agreed or inter .evra bored at united and wants a final challange and been talking to ronaldo a lot apparently he said he wanted to leave at start of season but agreed a new deal so club get money back from him but will let him move on as agreed.

vds still aint decided yet but a new keeper will come at end of season as a new no1 and vds will be 3rd choice after 2nd choice Lindegaard the new keeper will be Akinfeev.
giggs and scholes one last year and that's it although scholes thinking of going at end of season giggs thinks he has another year left in him.

neville and hargreaves will both retire but united will get some money back on hargreaves due to insurance.

carrick is gone at end of season and thank god

rooney will be sold either in jan or at end of season but he is gone. fergie was annoyed to say the least over the whole rooney saga and felt betrayed by him and his actions he also didn't like the fact he had to eat humble pie and then give him a mega payrise he apparently felt the player was holding the club to ransome. However we all know how shrewed he is he only did it because he knew the club could not pay those kind of wages for too long and by agreeing a new deal the club will get far more off him by selling . well 3 clubs want him but the question is could he live abroad barca will pay 50m reall will pay 50m or include ramos and benzema in deal with money however city have offered 80m and now tevez is leaving and rooney is reluctant to move abroad could seal the deal. . .

Sydney! {ed's note - I really don't see any club challenging for the title bringing in 4 players in January. I think it will be Lindegaard and A N Other in Jan myself, not sure who though, no concrete rumours are coming out at all.}

Wherz Seagull and Nprak? They always seem to come on about this time with interesting rumours? Do they stil post on here Ed? {ed's note - as far as I know they do, I am sure Nprak still posts occasionally, maybe there is nothing to say right now?}

I heard a strong rumour Fergie is having a look at strikers to bring in because he has identified Rooney to fill the boots of Scholes?
Anyone, Ed have thoughts on this? the more you think about it the more it makes sense. If we had a proper goalscorer i would have no issue with Rooney playing deeper. He has the vision, physique and drive

{Editor's Note: Someone mentioned this on here a couple of weeks ago - not sure sure if there is any truth in it. Additionally, the club have no shortage of strikers - although perhaps not that much experience between them. Personally, I doubt it - but you never know.}
