Giggs to make a decision on his future in the summer.

This is I think the best line -up
------------De Gea ----------
Rafaei/Jnes---Smalling/Ferdinand---Vidic/Evans---Evra
----------Carrick--Cleverly/Anderson---
Young---------Rooney----------Kagawa
--------------Van Persie-------------

That is a pretty inconclusive line up, as you name 8 players in 4 positions, instead of actually suggesting the best line up.
It also has nothing to do with the original post.

I'm changing my tune a little bit, but if Giggs can replicate the recent form that he has shown then it would not be the worst thing for him to stay on - providing that he is used sparingly and at the right moments as he recently has been.
Scholes however I do feel has past it, he cannot complete physically in the middle. The benefit that Giggs has is that he can still play wide left and swing some good balls in and make good crosses. Giggs to stay on and Scholes to retire is my best bet.

Surely Gggs has been making a decision on his future every year for the past 7+ years. He is only signing 1 year contracts!
Hopefully he will retire and become a coach at Utd.

Time to hang up the boots. He is starting to look like an old man out there now who is looking for his dog!

I don't think we'll ever shift Macheda.
Anyone who takes him on loan gets a wake up call and realises he's very average, then send him back.
Can't see anyone taking a gamble on buying him!

R_S, there is always interested parties for any player of his age and potential, but I think the manager has priced him out of a move on a few occasions. I think for £2m someone in the Championship will be getting a decent player, but I think the manager wants double that amount and with his attitude that is unrealistic.

surely a team that gets promoted from serie be or someone that avoids relegation in serie a would be interested in the Summer? Or even mid table. I think five million wouldn't be too bad a fee as i think he'd do well in italy.

Wherever he goes he ends up in a relegation battle.

Hope so really good keeper and english. I like de gea but he will join real or barca soon and fraiser will be a great replacement
Agree0
Disagree0
Of course will de Gea join one of the spanish giants, if we keep telling him he is not good enough, not loved, and keep looking for alternatives.
I'd start looking at alternatives if I was him and warm to the idea of moving back home.
Same goes for those two teams. They only start thinking about signing him if and when they are under the impression he is attainable since we don't rate him anyway!

Maybe he's a decent keeper as his 2 games vs Barcelona proved he's a big lad plus he's English

Sneijder signs for galatasaray for € 5.3 million per year

Net.
Sydney!

Nothing in the Italian news about it.
At net that would be about £100,000 p/week net.
About 200k gross?
Supasub

82 grand a week sterling net
Agree0

We would need to pay £160k-£170k a week.
But something tells me we would need to pay more than Gala.
Sydney!

Just to clarify, 5.3 million divided by 52 is £101, 900 per week. If you have tax without loop holes or add backs at 50% (over 150k per year, 45 percent after April) uk tax that would be £200k per week gross.
If that is the real figure being quoted anyway?
Supasub
Agree0

5.3 euro which is about 80 grand sterling I think top rate of tax in turkey is 35%
Agree0
Disagree0
Turkey's currency is I think still Turkish lira, which would come to like a trillion a week. I don't know where the euro's quote comes from? I presumed 5.3 million was sterling. I'd be surprised if sneijder was moving for 80k a week net and not more.

Also the post at the top is incorrect, sneijder has already come out today and said that he won't reach a decision before Monday. That is the only news in the Italian press up to 11pm today about the potential transfer. I'm amazed anyone would know his wage so soon before Wesley does.

Sydney . We've been through this before, still telling people what net pay is against gross on a footballers pay packet. it's not a basic breakdown when your earning x amount and there not loopholes. Everyday your on here trying to make yourself sound believable yet your conning the people who believe ya and yourself. Ya don't have the foggiest what the breakdown will be your just speculating on a story that had no basis in the first place !

apparently ashley cole wants to stay in the premier league and his agent is holding talks with united, any thuth in this rumour ED? {Ed002's Note - Cole will look at the options available and there have been discussions over moves to both PSG and Real Madrid. MUFC can talk with his agent but not the player until the summer.}

Hi
I have just read that we are interested in st ettiene forward aubeyemang. Is there any truth in this (eds?) and what sort of player is he?
Thanks
Geronimo {Ed002's Note - After a year at St Etienne Aubameyang has attracted the attention of Fiorentina, Manchester City, Manchester United, Zenit St Pete, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Spurs and PSG, probably amongst others. He has said in the past the one day his dream would be to return to play with a great Milan side. I didn't see him leaving the Geoffroy-Guichard in January but I understand that if a significant bid is made that St Et will give it due consideration. Such a bid is being pondered by Fiorentina but a summer move seems more likely.}

I know there has been debates on here about whether Rooney's injury was real or put on so he can get fit.... Well If you have seen the photo of Rooney training again and my he looks a lot fitter than before that so called injury, he looks to have slimmed down quite a bit.
