Manchester United midfielder Anderson's move to Fiorentina appears to be getting closer, with Sky Sport Italia reporting a deal has been agreed between the two clubs. Anderson will initially join on loan, with Fiorentina having the option to sign the Brazilian permanently for €6.5m (£5.4m). The deal could be concluded within the next 48 hours.
Hopefully there's no kfcs over there!

No need for that. Good luck Anderson. Still better than Fabregas.

Eds do you think we could bring Pogba back?
Cheers

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Is there interest in Pogba Ed or is it just lazy journalism.

From what I've heard Moyes is trying to bring Vidal in in this window? I seen him at cagliari and thought Marchisio straight away but have heard its a rather large bid for Vida on the cards. any truth eds?

Believable26 Unbelievable16

Giuseppe Marrotta Juventus general director has all but said marchisio, pogba, or pirlo won't be moving. Nothing mentioned about vidal.
Fingers crossed!
He'd be the one i'd choose for us.
If ed02 is free, would love to kno if you kno anything to do with this.

Cheers

Well I hope so.
In Moyes we trust.

Well looks like Anderson is gone, long overdue, hope we get a top replacement. Anyone heard anything on Jones? last I heard he'd be out for 2 weeks that was 3 weeks ago.

Believable17 Unbelievable2

I'll be sad to see Ando go.

In his first couple of seasons he looked like he'd be an outstanding player, and there have been flashes of it ever since, but less and less often as he let his fitness and confidence drop through the floor.

He could have been exactly the player we currently need, but if he ever comes close to filling that potential, it will be somewhere else now.

Agree2 Disagree1

Sad to see him go too, for a strange reason one of my favourite players.

Vidal hopefully will be replacement. However talk of Pogba.

Agree0 Disagree1

I loved him for his approach to football, always played with a smile on his face, saf wanted him to be something he wasn't, he was a flair type attacking midfield, he was never a deep player

Ed 02 what can you tell us about Ever Banega being linked to us and apparently asking to leave Valencia?

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The club are trying to strengthen and have perhaps dropped down the list a bit if there is serious interest.}

Eds, any truth that we put in a late bid for Daehli and tried to invoke a buy back clause but he refused to come back as he wanted to play for OGS at Cardiff?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Sort of.}

Thanks Ed. Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Cardiff.

13 Jan 2014 20:05:23
Why would you go to Cardiff instead of Manchester United

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably playing time, hope he and ole do well

Agree0 Disagree1

No chance we were back in for him just talk but good luck in Cardiff he will need it to beat the drop

Agree1 Disagree0

Daehli will do great. Always liked him, brilliant talent and the closest in terms of style to Iniesta that I've seen. I think he'll be a top top player.

Ed, if you have time. a few "sources" are claiming we are very close to finalizing a loan deal for Coentrao? You know if there is any truth to this.
thanks.

Believable15 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - It would need to be a loan to buy.}

That's interesting. I think it would make sense to get Coentrao for 6 months, see how he does and then if we like him, pay an agreed fee of around £13 million I would expect.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is not how it works.}

Cheers Ed.

Hi! Was just wondering if any of the eds kno of any intrest from us or anyone else with memphis depay. Looks a real good prospect.

Cheers in advance

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from elsewhere, but no MU.}

Cheers ed002.
Are you able to say who it is?

{Ed002's Note - Newcastle, Arsenal, Lille.}

Eds. Any truth that we put a late bid in for Daehli?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There was a question asked about invoking a clause in his contract but the kid had no interest.}

Does anyone know how the players being watched in Italy yesterday performed and whether Moyes or Nevile are still there?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What i'm wondering is why they are watching players 12 days into the window surly the homwork has been done by now.

Agree1 Disagree0

They all played ok, Moyes and Nev are still there taking in the culture before we get the flight back with a double macchiato and a bowl of spaghetti each followed by some Gino Ginelli ice cream in Bella Italia in Turin.
Some chap told us it was where the locals go.
So we obliged and paid 300 euros for a 3 for 30 euros mega meal after being recommended the deal. Sorry ed. bit to many grande coffees today. I will stop Nev from buying them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Supasub, glad you are enjoying Italy and its wonderful attractions.

According to expres, United are keen to bring Pogba back, and he set for PL return.

Believable11 Unbelievable49

Never in a million years. We truly drop a big error there

Agree0 Disagree3

It could appeal to his ego, he could take it as 'I've proven myself to be right because I was more than good enough' or he may choose a different EPL club to rub salt into the wounds. Personally I doubt he will return, but I would like him to. He may be a mercenary, he may not, his agent certainly hawks him around Europe. I think he was right to leave and I don't blame him, its worked out well for him.

I hope he returns and if he does I think it will be to prove everyone wrong.

Agree2 Disagree0

Personally I hope he doesn't come back. He didn't look that fantastic when he was at utd which just goes to show how inferior the Italian league really is. He had his chance and he blew it.

Agree0 Disagree5

"He didn't look that fantastic" I don't think you really watched him them mate, he was a class above every player in the youth and reserve team and got very limited time in the first team but looked more than comfortable to make the step up, being able to smash it in the top corner on numerous occasions from 30 yards out has nothing to do with the serie a being poor, the boys quality, SAF made a mistake, deal with it.

Agree2 Disagree0

Pogba never got a game, how could ge prove himself?!

Agree3 Disagree0

The amount of time he had on the ball and how well he kept was outstanding, and he had the pace to keep with attackers to win the ball back. He was the complete player. If we had one of RVP or Rooney fit, Januzaj and Pogba this team would be sitting much higher in the table. Perhaps not top, but in the top 3.

The headline made me laugh though, 'Pogba keen on Man U' - in reality it's we who are keen on him.
