Eds, lots of talk on here about Vidal, and I really hope it happens. But one name I've not heard mentioned for a long time is Lars Bender. Do you know if United still maintain an interest in him?

Maybe cause he has played now in Italy for a few years winning the scudetto for the last few years I think perhaps he fancies a new contract and a new challenge and maybe likes the idea of working with LVG.

The only factual piece of information I've read so far in this transfer saga is that Vidal is on holiday right now.
While that is true he also is on record as saying "anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world" when asked about joining Manchester United.
That sounds promising, but stop recycling rubbish you read on Twitter.
God I love silly season so much fun speculating and pretending to know what is going on, anyway the latest info I hear is that Vidal was eating at a restaurant last night and the waiter noticed that his wife, Gore, was on Rightmove looking at houses in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.
But seriously, if Evra to Juve is true wouldn't this deal have been completed by now or is the delay because it is tied up with the Vidal deal.

TV,Vidal and Blind seem realistic I would be very surprised at Vlaar world cup fever imo we watched him last season in EPL be shocking more often than not.
Yeah Vlaar just benefits from 2 CB's next to him, despite being very effective. If we do intend to play 3 CB's in certain games then he would be a decent signing and would add some experience, just depends what Villa would want as anything over £10mil is too much for a standby.
Obviously we have Carrick & potentially Fellaini that can drop back if necessary.
Vlaar looked okay in a 3 but I a 2 that I expect is to play mostly next year he will be found out. Better options atime club already.

Swap vlaar for de vrij and I would be happy with that. Could do with a winger though if bank and young depart

Yeah Mad Hatter, I don't rate him back there but it seems it is something we could do, should we be lacking in the CB department he would add that ball playing aspect we are crying out for, but the games we would need 3 at the back for we would be needing better than Carrick defensively otherwise we would just play with 2. Just depends on which players we buy and for how much.

I thought de vrij has played really well over the last few weeks and had another good game last night.good on the ball as well not afraid to come forward and pass the ball out.vlarr has looked good at the world cup but for villa has looked very average.

Normally I would be against this idea as normally it's due to players ages. But is it more of Hummels wanting to stay or Dortmund not wanting to sell? If it's down to Dortmund, I would be happy to go all out with a bid, £20m isn't going to get him, I'd put £30m in as a bid. As mentioned, normally I'm against it, but he's I believe 25, coming up to his prime, would believe in what we are trying to achieve.
I can't see barca doing well this year and of course at Dortmund the cups are his best hope.

I can't give you the fee. But it's between 35-40 with evra, the deal is agreed now, juve are tying up deals. I'd expect LVG to announce this on Wednesday. But it looks wrapped up,,
I have a couple of good sources who have bin spot on. Also Don't rule us out the race for Di maria just yet.
I just can't take the rumours of a 'Marmite-McLovin' seriously.
