Domino effect! Nasri or Meireles are being lined up to
move to inter milan source = talksport, modric going no where FACT! = source skysports redknapp interview! Charlie Adam will move to Liverpool to replace Meireles along with henderson FACT! = source again skysports! Leaving Man Utd to move in on Sneijder and breaking their transfer record set when they signed berbatov.
Sanchez would be a sweetner i would love to see but i think the arrival of De Gea, and sneijder will conclude uniteds business with the obvious players going out on loan or sold ie: Gibson to sunderland £5million.

The more I learn about and wtch Javi Martinez play, the more I think he may be a decent alternative to Modric/Sneijder. He's got a real defensive quality, can pass like a barcelona cm, and is bigger and more physical than either Modric or Sneijder. He's also younger, and can be part of the squad for many years to come. I still believe we need to buy atleast one world class cm, and my list now has three names.....Ed, others, what do u think? {Ed002's Note - Martinez has signed a new Athletic Bilbao contract and remains very much on the not for sale list. Any efforts to sign him will result in some very silly money being quoted.}

Have been advised by a reliable source within MUTV that Samir Nasri is now the number 1 target ahead of Wesley Sneijder and Luka Modric. Wesley Sneijder has pretty much advised his agent to find him the best deal possible, as long as the club is in the champions league, he is not that fussed who he signs for. & Fergie is not willing to pay over 28 million for Modric, with the likes of City & Chelsea sniffing around he will command a bigger fee than that. Nasri wants to play for United & is willing to hand in a transfer request to push the transfer through & force Wengers hand.

I have a couple of associates who are football agents and I know through business. They are both aspiring agents, currently working a lot in League 1 and League 2, Scotland. Due to certain promotions they have also started getting Championship work.

They have informed me about a few transfers they are aware of happening, they are not directly involved with the following transfers, but...

United:
Sneijder - Trying to broker a deal, looking unlikely. Also unlikely he will go to Chelsea or anyother club this summer.

Sanchez - City are seriously interested, United and SAF admire the player but know unless the player is keen on United they cannot compete.

Others: No other areas being targeted, Berbatov will stay. Macheda out on loan, perhaps West Brom or Newcastle. Bebe to Besiktas and Obertan is available to buy or loan.

Others:
Nasri - staying at Arsenal
Fabergas - Barcelona or will stay at Arsenal, City have had a bid rejected.
Drogba - Spurs have started preliminary talks.
Adam - Liverpool
Merieles - Wanted by Sevilla, Scousers will only sell if they can bring in Aguero and one other.
Dann - Arsenal.

Man United seal Phil Jones deal

Manchester United have confirmed the capture of Blackburn defender Phil Jones on a five-year deal.

And with the Red Devils refusing to budge beyond the figure - believed to be £16.5million - that triggered a buyout clause in the 19-year-old's contract, Blackburn have been forced to agree a sale

Phil Jones has signed a five-year contract with Manchester United, the Premier League champions have confirmed.

United thought they had secured Jones' services last week, only for the transfer to be halted due to an unforeseen snag.

It was claimed Blackburn were holding out for more cash and that Liverpool had jumped in with a £20million offer.

However, Jones, who featured for England Under 21's in their opening European Championship match against Spain in Denmark on Sunday night, apparently told Rovers he did not wish to join any other club than United.

And with the Red Devils refusing to budge beyond the figure, believed to be £16.5million, that triggered a buyout clause in the 19-year-old's contract, Blackburn have been forced to agree a sale.

@Precisely what Red Man & I said, if the player only wants to join United, he can only join United. Blackburn cannot force him to join another club.

United seal Jones deal

Phil Jones is set to become United's first signing of summer 2011 after the Reds successfully negotiated a transfer with his current club Blackburn Rovers.

A club statement published on Monday reads as follows:

"Manchester United is delighted to announce it has signed an agreement with Blackburn Rovers for the transfer of Phil Jones.

"The player passed a medical in Manchester last week and has agreed a 5-year contract. The deal will be completed once the player returns from international duty."

Jones, 19, came through the youth ranks at Blackburn before turning professional on 1 July 2009. He made his senior debut two months later, in a Carling Cup victory at Nottingham Forest, and went on to make a total of 40 appearances for Rovers.

The robust central defender, who can also play in midfield, has been capped seven times so far by England at Under-21 level. The latest appearance was in Denmark on Sunday, when he started alongside new club colleagues Tom Cleverley, Chris Smalling and Danny Welbeck in the 1-1 draw with Spain in the UEFA Under-21 Championships.

@Are you sure bud? Reason I ask is because he was only valued at 9m euros by his club. Seems odd that we are paying a couple million over their valuation, usually a team will buy a player for a couple million under the players valuation.

Good morning Guys
Ed do you know whether there is any truth to the rumours over the weekend that the Quatari Royal Family are backing our transfer bids.
If it is true and with the possibility of us being floated on the stock exchange is this the first signs that the Glazers are ready to sell to the Quatari's albeit at a reduced profit to what they may get if they just sold outright.
I think this makes sense lol.

Bazza {Ed002's Note - If the company is to be floated there is no way that teh Qatari Roayl family would be putting money in to the club. If you are considering Sheikh Hamad in particular then perhaps you should look more closely at the owners of Paris St-Germain.}

So bebe is off.He has never been properly trained and we did pay a fair amount for him...so y send him on loan(which he needs) but with the option to sell... And y to besiktas(spelling) as they do have an decent attacking four so will he get game time? Y not an english or even british team? So what I'm really asking is, is this just a straight forward loan to gain experience or will he be sold?(Eds, syd, gan or anyone) I think given a chance he could become a good player. Another question, give obertan a loan to a premiership club and see how he does playing week in week out( he could improve drastically with regular football at a higher level) or sell him now and make possibly a slight loss? CDS ps what's the scoop of the day? Since we are linked with someone new everyday.

"some of the guys here are posting rumours based on video games.! remember we need some experienced players to bolster our squad. youth players are not going to fetch us the Champions League which will be the priority of SAF since now he's taken United one up Liverpool. Nasri, Sneijder and Modric remain primary targets and M'Vila may be brought in to fill up that void defensive midfielder role."

@Phil Jones is our new defensive midfielder, he will play as a defensive midfielder for us then replace Vidic at the back when Vidic retires in a few years time.

The 'Pato Rodriquez' rumour has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now.
He looks great on You Tube and plays for a top Argentine team.
However, with the Bebe gamble still fresh in our minds lets hope that SAF is right on the money with this one.

"United are in the process of trying to sort a work permit out for Pato Rodriguez! Hes an attacking midfielder, looks like hes got some skills! Take a look on youtube."

@It seems Bebe has made way for this lad.

I would be most surprised if Berbatov remained at Old Trafford given all the circumstances around him. So it would leave us a striker light, I dont believe Welbeck is similar enough in style to Hernandez so we would have to change our style of play for him as well. We have been linked with Benzema, however there is a potential new controversy if the papers are to be believed, Aguero looks lined up to play at the Madrid Circus. There is someone English who perhaps we could look at. He is from the north which would make it easier for him to settle and there are rumours his club would sell at about £20M. He plays in a similar way to Hernandez so we wouldnt have to change our style like we do with Berbatov. He has potential and can score goals. Dean Sturridge. Just a thoughtRed Man do u mean daniel sturridge, or is deano making a shock comeback

I heard that we are currently scouting the following players, with a view to talking to them within the next year or so.

De Gea (Atletico)
Lucas Digne (Lille)
Lorenzo De Silvestri (Fiorentina)
Guilermo Burdisso (Rosario (Formally Roma loanee)
Khouma Babacar (Fiorentina)
Connor Wickham (Ipswich)
Alex Chamberlain (Southampton)
Jack Butland (Birmingham)
Alex Sandro (Santos)

Utd are looking to cut their long term costs, so expect to see both Owens, Jonny Evans, Ferdy, Carrick, Berbatov, Giggs, Anderson, O'Shea, Brown and Park leave within the next 12 months.

It seems United have compromised with Blackburn and we will sign Jones for £20m. I have to say it is a small price to pay for a decent Englishman, a player that we will have for at least 13 years. Future United & England captain.

Jones & De Gea for a combined £38m seems a lot, but they are both future World class talent and they are just 19 & 20 respectively. Add them to Smalling (21) and the twins (20). We are set for many many years at the back.

@In fact the Daily Mail are saying that we have won the battle with Blackburn and they have accepted the £16.5m bid. Deal to be wrapped up tomorrow. £16.5m will turn out to be a steal.
