One thing i forgot to add to previous posts, SAF will not be leaving at the end of the season. This is not inside knowledge, SAF has always said unless health gets in the way he will keep on managing United! Jose coming back to the Premier League could be any club really;

Spurs; Harry Redknapp is def inline for next England job
Chelsea; Ancelotti has been poor tactically this season (considering whats is at his disposal)
City; Who knows whats happening there, anyone could be the next manager RM is too defensive for the EPL
Arsenal; Wenger is irreplacebale at Arsenal but he needs to spend money on decent players, and get the right ones in.
Liverpool; Kenny Dalglish has not stated if he will take the job on full time after this season

In my honest opinion SAF will still be the manager of Manchester United next season.

In reply to;

As for the Ashley Young pre contract agreement, I don't believe he is United quality. Although I do believe the Rodwell deal is done, interest is beginning to build up for the kid.

@ I truely beive Rodwell is going to be a star. I have to agree 100% A Young is not United quality too in my opinion (he could surprise us all but i doubt it). . . . . . I still believe if any winger is to join us it will be Bale but we'll see. The Rodwell news is really good, even the unsettling in todays 'News Of The World' will have no baring. Rodwell is going to be a great great player, i just hope SAF is still here in two years to tutor the boy!

I would definitely prefer Stekelenburg over the other targets. . . . .he is the same height as VDS at 6'6 and has great experience and is at a great age aswell. . . . .

he also wouldn't cost alot from Ajax unlike Neuer, Lloris etc who would probably cost us ALOT

So, Rodwell + Young done + chance of Adam coming? Stekelenburg our likely GK target, we want another flying dutchman don't we? :P

But Rodwell and especially Young are definitely on for this summer. . . . . of course until its official anything can change so technically pre-contracts don't mean much (unless the player is loyal to his word and not swayed by agents) but I expect Young will follow up with this and sign. """
dear sir
if ngiak's indirect sources are to be believed and adding 2 and 2 together from info around the papers, looks like it may be rodwell for 20 to 25 mil and young for just over 10 mil.
these are the deals set up these few weeks after ngiak got his info 2 weeks ago.
as a caveat ngiak also thinks either Parker or Adams will one depending on their teams being relegated. as for further buys, well ngiak has no indication yet. probably if any will occur after the season ends. will try to keep abreast.
time will tell

Agreed. . . . . .

Im hearing the same about Rodwell being worked. . . . . . . I think there are also um's and ar's about M'villa too. . . .

I don't think we will buy him tbh. . . . . .

but Rodwell and especially Young are definitely on for this summer. . . . . of course until its official anything can change so technically pre-contracts don't mean much (unless the player is loyal to his word and not swayed by agents) but I expect Young will follow up with this and sign. . . . . . .

the news about his feelings about wanting to join Utd and telling team mates is 100% true

IF our club are really doing deals now regarding pre contract agreements it is a really wise move that is more than likely true.

We all know we don't have millions to spend and in no way can get involved in a bidding war with the likes of City or Chelsea so this would be very smart.

Hi Guys
well its been a great weekend for the Reds, beating Arsenal, The Youth team beating Liverpool and being given the opportunity to beat the noisy neighbours in the semi-final.
After watching most of the City match I didn't see much to worry about.
If I had an open cheque book the signings I'd like to see at United are
Ronaldo
Aguerro
Bale
Steklenberg
Schneider
The reality is we will only get Steklenberg

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - those 3DS damage your eyes, I won't be getting her one she already has a DSi and there is a ps3 and pcs for her to play on. I do have a second TV mate, but that doesn't help when she wants me to play with her!}

@Thanks for the advice on the 3DS's, my lads won't be getting them now. They will have to make do with their DS's. I know what you mean Ed, kids do keep you away from the footy, but life would be so dull without them. Life would be so dull without footy come to think of it.

Ed, have you heard any updates on the Rodwell rumours from around the Liverpool area, my Scouse mates have said United talked with Everton in January but have not heard anything since.

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - as far as I can find out the deal was done in January but an investor came forward for Everton and they put the deal on hold pending talks with the investor. But those talks haven't gone well, apparently the investor was not looking to invest but to buy the club and it doesn't seem to be happening. Which means they have to sell and it will be Rodwell that is out the door, if all this is true obviously. This is the trouble a lot of it is speculation from people who have some inside knowledge but not all. By the way Nintendo actually tell you to switch the 3D off on the 3DS if the child is young because of the damage it can do - how stupid is that?}

Manchester United have made the first move for French midfielder Yann M Vila, after Sir Alex Ferguson flew privately to Rennes on Friday to watch the 20-year-old against Marseille United's opponents in the Champions League this week - according to a report in The People.

M Vila s future has been under scrutiny for some time now, and Sir Alex sat in the stands along with Tottenham s number two Kevin Bond and Liverpool s director of football Damien Comolli, who are also eyeing up a potential move for the youngster.

However, it looks like United have taken pole position in the race for M Vila s signature, having reportedly made a discreet enquiry for the midfielder.

M Vila has been rated at £20 million, and Ferguson believes he could be the ideal replacement for the injury-plagued Owen Hargreaves.

The French international has previously expressed his desire to join such a big club as United, whom he said he dreamed of joining.

Liverpool are thought to be willing to offer for £16m for M Vila, who looks likely to win France's young player of the year award.

Is Rodwell defo coming to man u ed/ sydney? {Ed001's Note - I believe it is as close to a done deal as you can get, but nothing is ever definite until the contracts are signed. Well, unless you happen to be Jon Obi Mikel!}

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - I will defo enjoy it more than playing Game of Life like I am having to now! *sighs*}

@I think you need to invest in a second TV mate, I have the same problem but I am skint. Or sell the Wii and buy your little-un a 3DS.

Hi guys, just wanted to know what you thought the chances of Rooney leaving/ being sold at the end of the season are. No doubt when the window gets closer rumours will intensify.

I read this on Caughtoffside, of course this website is poo but, there are still people who feel his body language is all wrong. However, yesterday was a huge improvement.

@The story has been completely made-up from nothing mate, lazy journalism just trying to sell papers.

Mirror says Rooney to be of loaded at the end of the season with Real Madrid looking favourites. I would be happy with this. He'll soon be worthless. Bidding likely to start at 60M. I go for a swap Ozil and Higuain/ Benzema for Rooney +10m

Sydney how come you go missing after man united lose then you are back after a win Hmmmmm! !

And 25 mil for rodwell what the hell! he isn't worth that

@Lets just say the reason I have been away was out of my hands. I did comment on the Liverpool game a day or two later, and I did comment on the Chelsea game immediately after so I have not been avoiding them games. Rodwell will be a cracking buy and is likely to only end up costing us around £19m over five years. He will be a great asset for over ten years. He is not our answer to the midfield straight away, but I doubt he will be the only central midfielder brought in.

United won't sign rodwell unless everton agree to just 10mill upfront and the rest in add ons, this won't happen as everton need the cash an united can't afford to pay up in full. Scott parker is the next target after rodwell

what a load of bull, fergie has been tracking rodwell for 2 seasons so why would he let him fall through his fingers now when a deal is so close, Parker would never be on our radar, too old for a start, idiotic really!
