I hear that Anderlecht have Lucas Evangelista with them. Do we still have first dibs/are we still interested?

I am pretty jealous. She was, and still remains one of the most beautiful super models on the planet. Grrrr

Given that Valencia and Chicharito have gone half way around the world back, I imagine that they won't start this weekend which leaves us a little short. Kagawa and RVP may also make the bench if they are fit but RVP in particular won't be risked just incase. I fancy we will play a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1. Evans and Vidic at centre back with Rafael and Evra as full backs. Nani and Giggs wide with any two of Scholes/Carrick/Anderson/Cleverly in the middle - Could be any of them really. Up top will be Welbeck with possibly Cleverly or Anderson playing the most advanced midfield role.

As said, Young, Valencia, RVP and Chicharito will all make the bench as well as probably Buttner.

So RVP suffered a dead thigh and won't be risked because ? He's embarrassed about a little bruise ? And Toni won't play when he was our best player against them last time even though he will have had a more relaxed training routine for a few days . There athletes not holiday makers or models !

Agree0 Disagree1

Who says the national teams have more relaxed training routines?

and of course does long distance travel through multiple time zones take its toll.

yes they are athletes, but we have a big squad which is supposed to be sooo good in depth, why not use it?

What's wrong with Young? Why can he make the bench but not the team?

Let's see an entertaining win, for a change

Jonny8

If Southampton wasn't an "entertaining win" in your opinion, then what is?

Scott

Sorry Scott, you're right of course.

Let me correct it:

Let's see a convincing win, not another nerve-wrecking

On return from long distance or most midweek international / cl games the players are given a bit of leniency and don't usually complete the full training sessions . It's what clubs do to help the players recharge yet keep their edge.

For gods sake, they didnt walk back to old trafford did they!!

get on with it .... pansies!!

Ed002, can I ask your thoughts on United's apparent interest in Vadillo and Berardi? It seems strong and looks like things are starting to pick up. Who would be United's rivals when trying to sign these pair? Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Vadillo is certainly of interest to several clubs including Manchester United, Barcelona, Napoli and Palermo. I know little of the situation with Berardi, although Juventus was a likely destination a few months back. I would not at this time hold yor breath over either arriving soon.}

Thanks Ed, so you don't think Vadillo in, Nani out this January is a possibility?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Even if Manchester United agree to by Vadillo this January I would doubt a move before the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I get you, if we were to buy him we would leave him there to progress for at least til the end of the season. Thanks again Ed.

Sydney!

Is this the chap from sassuolo?

Valdillo is injured and out for 6 months with a knee ligament damage + Real Madrid also want him...

Agree0 Disagree0

He is supposed to be the new ROnaldo so if they do want him, they can give us back the old one ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasnt gabriel obertan dubbed "the new obertan" when he signed. Hope vadillo isnt like that alien lookalike frenchman

Ganso goin Sao paulo for 8 million quid surely would have been a bargain
Superdecs {Ed002's Note - It is rather more complicated than that - the numbers being discussed only buy a proportion of the player - the remaining DIS owners have no intent on selling at this time. Expect to see him sold again - possibly even in 2013. Note also that he has had (a) major injury problems, and (b) a significant dip in form.}
