Tony V leaving at the end of the season, I'd like to see wan bassaka of palace come in to compete with Dalot for the RB position and chilwell to compete with shaw for LB.

That would be the my ideal pair of signings 2smooth. Wan Bissaka has arguably been the best rb in the league this year. But being a palace boy it may be hard to prise him away. City will be all over him in the summer. I think shaw needs competition.

We need to have players fighting for each spot on the pitch. Greater competition within a squad produces higher performance levels and higher standards. Chilwell would be perfect. I actually think at this moment he’s better than shaw. I think shaw does need to improve positionally and his delivery / final ball. Hopefully that comes with more confidence and coaching.

Wan Bissaka looks like a very good player and I'd happily sign him to compete with Dalot. Another worth looking at would be Ricardo Pereira at Leicester. He was mentioned last season and through the summer by a couple of people on here and Leicester did well to get him. He has been great this season and can play on the right wing too.

For left back I'd keep Ashley Young as cover for Shaw. That isn't my ideal situation as I'd prefer we went out and got another left back to compete with Shaw but I think we have other areas such like CB, RB, CM and RW which need to be addressed before left back does. I can't see us signing 6 or 7 players this summer who are in the first team squad.

I see no point in having two young left backs competing for a spot. Shaw and Young for the left, and Dalot and a New right back to compete on that side would make more sense. Never quite sure why darmian has not quite made it - if you believe what you read there are some top Italian clubs chasing him, and he’s more than good enough as back up. He’s a good defender, just his distribution not quite good enough for a modern right back.

Tony V has had a great career at Utd, but you do get the sense it’s time to move on for him now for a new challenge.

Both Dalot and Young are capable of playing at both RB and LB. The obvious issue with them is one is young and is learning while the question is how long can Young go on for. For me the solution is bringing in a full back who is a solid RB but who can comfortably cover LB. Then readdress the full back situation at the end of next season.

Ricardo Pereira or Cedric Soares would be good shouts. Both settled and proven EPL players. Neither would cost the earth.

For me we need a first choice CB partner for Lindelof, and a couple of midfielders. Which is likely to cost a fair amount.

I'm not so concerned by a RW, I think Lingard can be a great option there, plus we have a couple of great youngsters who could look to breakthrough over the next two seasons in Chong, Gomes and Greenwood.

Park you really think City will chase Wan while they have Walker and Danilo? If I remember correctly Wan got his chance when TFM got injured at Palace, prior to that he (TFM) played quite well for them.

Good shout that Shappy. Both great options and won't cost much, but then again its United so even stones cost us diamonds. Wonder what happened with Bertrand. Remember he was linked to us and he is a good option for Shaw to compete with. Are there no fullbacks in our academy?

Mitchell having a great season with hearts last i read. Not seen him i don't watch as much of the Scottish league as i used to.

Mitchell has been alright but defensively suspect and isn't going to make. it here - Hearts form has went off a cliff.

I do mbd. I think pep doesn’t really fancy walker that much at the moment. Just my humble opinion of course but walker can be a bit of a liability. He’s got a mistake in him and is suspect defensively at times. He showed this against Chelsea when he switched off for kante’s goal. Don’t get me wrong he’s still a very good player and would walk into our side. But I think Wan Bissaka has a higher ceiling than him. Think city will be keeping tabs on him. Danilo is pretty average tbf.

I've watched quite a bit of Pereira and Bassaka this season, as they've been in my dream team since the start of the season. Both are potentially very good. Bissaka definitely the better defensively, with Pereira better going forward. Personally, I think Pereira is going to be a beast of a player.

Shaw, Pereira, Lindelof and Koulibaly could be a solid back 4.

Great result, Ole has us bouncing and I feel good to say I'm a man Utd supporter after the gloom. If Jose looked at us first have I would love to know what was going through his mind? It is clear to see he was drowning us and losing the players.

Herrera, lindelof and Dave the feet celebrated with Spurs slumping to defeat.

Jones is not a defender no excuses. Every time Luke ran up the left Jones kept looking at VL before he proceeded forward to cover the space and got caught out over and over ball watching.

Victor is growing into a solid CB but he needs a permanent partner. I would love Bailly too.

5 years, 3 managers took us to finally get it right, 6 out of 6 and playing our way so tell me something why are we looking for something that we already have? OLE gets it, he knows what it means to be a man utd manager, he won it all as a player and you can see his passion for the club.

In my opinion, he is the way forward, he is the one that's going to take us back to where we belong, i wonder if the board would have fired the primitive one before the season started where would be in the table right now? 1st? Second? Third? No lower than that. Give him the job stop this nonsense already. let's start planning for the future right now. Oh before i forget Pogba should have scored twice today.

I Think whoever followed Mourinho was always going to do well as the players were determined to show that he was the problem and not them like he kept saying. I Agree 6 out of 6 is amazing but we need to see if this will continue or when Mourinho is forgotten about they start to take their foot off the gas. I really hope Ole does well and I hope he continues strong and stays but there is a long time left. If he finishes top 4 and Poch is unavailable then i can't see why not.

We should follow the process. I think that starts with a DOF. But Ole’s case is building fast.

I love what ole has achieved so far. ok apart from spurs the teams we have beat, We should have beat anyway regardless who the manager is.
It's the way we have beaten the teams which has impressed me the most. With jose we go one nil up then defend like hell for 80 minutes. it's nice to watch a game from kick off right untill final whistle.
My only concern should ole get job full time is could he attract big name players to the club. but so far so good.
