So, a few salty rumours going around are that de gea wants off, unless of course a new manager comes in, again psg being linked with pogba, apparently involving a swap deal for verratti? also claims they fancy bringing martial back to the land of garlic, madrid also keeping a watching brief on de gea, varrane? also mentioned in the deal, but i'm guessing this will mean nothing until after the world cup, there are those on here who say because of lack of experience and not having won anything its too early to go for
pocchettino, to that i say balderdash, managers like him come along once in a red moon (well i wasn't going to say blue was i! ), which ever club he's been at they've improved, the players buy into his plan, i don't hear too many complaints and the management love him, he's not the big i am and acts with class and dignity, all in all i think he'd be a good fit, so take the risk and roll the dice, or change the name to 'turgid' united!

If you were in Pochs shoes would you take the job? He’s got a lot going for him at Spurs with their new stadium being built and he has a solid team. That being said of course United are classed as a bigger team but the gaps closing. Any manager that’s willing to take the United job has to be ready to scrap and fight against Pep and Man City. Would I take Poch? 100% I would but would he join us? Possibly but I’m not sure.

Dan I think he would jump at the opportunity. As great as spurs have been they won’t ever give Poch the financial platform to compete with the very best. At united he at least has the opportunity to match city spending. Remember we are still Man Utd - one of the biggest clubs in the world. At the end of the day money talks. You pay enough for Poch and sell him a vision then there is every chance he will come. For any manager the opportunity to revive the wounded giant would be an opportunity they would relish. If they don’t then they are not right for us. Simples.

Dan, no discourtesy to the spuds but the difference is chalk and cheese, as for would pochettino take the job? well, he could stayed at southampton and gone along quite nicely for years building steadily, but he plumbed to go to spurs at a time when all was not sweetness and light, frim what has happened since, he gave kane his big chance, changed the style of play and has promoted from the youth team year on year, all the players who've come through have not looked out of place in the premiership, something supposedly legendry managers like lvg didn't achieve-apart from 1-Rashford-for me a criminal return and waste of the academy players, as for jose, Mctominay for sure, but then come a big game, he goes and picks fellaini?! -give the job to pochettino, and let's stop the the fannying around, be brave or enjoy mediocrity for years to come.

Dan you're right the gap is closing. We finished 6th last year and now we're ahead of them. Poch is a good manager but has really dine nothing of note. He did a better job at Southampton.

I agree 12 days.
You get a few on hete slagging off posters always wanting shiney new players but they want a shiney new manager. Double standards.
We have a veru good manager over achieving posiruon wise with a lot of poor players.
However he is massively under achieving style wise. That will improve when he gets rid of the average joes.

When Mourinho was quoted as saying that EVERYTHING had to change was he including himself as manager or his philosophy. Or was it everything other than him?

Personally I think he is losing or has even lost the dressing room.
We have seen our team play well, but not consistently. They could be better but I feel either Jose has lost the plot and cannot see what works and gives a good run, or the players just get hacked off when they are pushed back into their tactical boxes and don't give 100%.

I can't believe that any player joining Manchester United came to play anything but expansive football. Either way there does not seem to be an answer without some sort of major upheaval (again) . If it has to be. Do it quickly and soon.

GDS. I have been very pro Jose. I am not reacting to one game. I am just beginning to wonder whether unknowingly my optician gave me lenses with rose tint. Just honest wondering. I agree with much that you have written but the opinion expressed in this post is the only two ways I can see to rationalise what we have been seeing week by week.
