Reports in argentina claim we have bid 30 mil euros for nicolas gaitan,not sure if these reports are true.PRR8

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Is it possible to bid for a player before the transfer window opens in Jan '12? Sorry if this is a stupid question... {Ed002's Note - Clubs talk all of the time and agreements can be reached, but the transfer of the players registration cannot happen outside of the transfer window. So yes.}

Press are talking about Daniele De Rossi. Flatmates dad writes for the sun, and he says the sports lot are talking about it - but then he said it's usually tosh if they're talking about it. Still thought I'd let you lot know. I wouldn't mind, I think he's a good player.

Wish this were true.in my opinion he would be a great signing.exactly what we ve been missing in the middle of the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent holding midfielder but I'd prefer Javi Martinez. He's younger than De Rossi and in my opinion... just as good.

Agree0 Disagree0

De rossi is not good enough,,,,martinez is deffo a better option

Just read Real are interested in M'Vila, along with Arsenal. Anybody know if there is any substance in this? Ed's?

J Bones. {Ed002's Note - Inter, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Genoa and perhaps Liverpool & Chelsea showed an interest or enquired about M'Vila this past summer. M'Vila will almost certainly not move until the summer. A very significant bid from Manchester City has already been turned down. With that offer that was made for M'Vila in the summer Rennes have upped their valuation of the player to an extent where Creachcadec has said no Italian team can aford M'Vila. I would expect that there may be interest in him from PSG, Barcelona and possibly Real Madrid by the time he comes up for sale in the summer. I would be astonished if M'Vila moved in January.}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Thanks for the reply Ed002. I fear if there is that much interest and Barca or Real comes looking, then we will be out of contention. I think would be brilliant for us though, absolutely brilliant.

I just read that Spurs have supposedly agreed a deal for Rasmus Elm for €7.5m beating United to his signature.
Dont know how true this is and the fee seems very low for a promising 23 yr old international I also dont know if United really were interested in the player at all but if we were this looking like another Modric or Berbatov to me Spurs stump up the cash take a chance on an unproven player then everyone wants to spend mega bucks on them in a few seasons.

Have we missed a trick here ?....time will tell here I suppose if this story is true.

Devil Dust.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Elm is a good player but has shown nothing to demonstrate he will be a top player. I can see him being a squad player at Spurs to be honest.

"{Ed002's Note - Khedira will be offered to Manchester City as part of a deal for Tevez. They will probably not be interested in him as they target Di Maria. Khedira will then be offered as a part exchange deal for other players Real Madrid are interested in. They are certainly willing to let him go. I don't see him moving to Old Trafford.}"

Hi Ed002, a couple of months ago I asked about the Khedira situation, I was just wondering if this info is still accurate. Madrid may have missed the boat on Tevez, but is Khedira still to be offloaded in the summer? More importantly, can you still not see him joining United? Thanks.

Matthew...

{Ed002'd Note - Given Pardeza did not meet with Joorabchian things have changed. Khedira will probably be available and if Manchester United bid for him they may be avble to conclude a deal.}

Has anybody watched the copa sudamericana this season? I watched the whole thing and the player who stood out in the whole competition was Eduardo Vargas, Hes an attackin midfielder and he scored 2 in the final last night, In the 12 games in the competition he had 11 goals and 8 assists, The commentator's all the way through the comp said he's gonna be a big star in European football, Only rated at 4-5 million at the moment, Barca, Madrid, Munich, Chelsea, City and Arsenal have all sent scouts to watch him, I would absolutly love to see him with us, Hes at Uni De Chile at the moment, Gonna be an amazing player in the future...mufc {Ed002's Note - We knew that there had been interest in Eduado Vargas from Italian and English clubs (Liverpool, Chelsea, Napoli, Inter Milan, Palermo and probably others) but there were concerns from the English clubs as to whether or not he will be able to obtain international clearance immediately making England a less likely destination than Italy or Russia. If he were to move and go on loan, then an English club is taking a risk that he continues to play competitive internationals for his country. As of this morning the situation with Eduado Vargas is that he will most likely "move" to Chelsea or Zenit in January. Both clubs have made bids and Chelsea have continued with some further negotiation. There still remains a concern as to whether or not he will be able to obtain international clearance but he will continue to play competitive internationals for his country as any deal with Chelsea may well see him remain on loan with Universidad. However, whilst Zenit have provided a better bid and a better financial package for the player, they do not have the work permit restrictions that Chelsea have but want the player right away, which does not suit Universidad. If the transfer to Chelsea were to go ahead I suspect it could be next August or perhap the year after before an appearance. It is now in the hands of his club and advisors.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Thanks 4 the info Ed002, I would of loved to see him play for Man Utd, Such a talent, Ah well, You cant win them all, Cheers again...mufc {Ed002's Note - It does not mean they cannot bid, but are not in the ball game right now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

"You cant win them all"
mufc, who do you think we have won?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anon

If that is as I suspect a negative post about our ability to obtain players ahead of other clubs, then it is very foolish of you. Over the years United have beat many clubs to the signature of top players. Most recently I would suggest Phil Jones and Ashley Young? I suppose for you the grass is always greener...

Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba is ready to snub Sir Alex Ferguson and open contract talks with Italian giants Inter Milan.

The French teenager, who's viewed as one of Fergie's brightest young talents, is out of contract in the summer, which means he can agree terms with a club outside England as early as New Year's Day.

Pogba's advisers have been testing the market for him and Inter are the most keen to take advantage of his position.

Fergie has been hoping that Pogba will stay on at Old Trafford, where he has seen some first-team game time and could well have taken advantage of the absences of Darren Fletcher and Anderson in the second half of the campaign.

However, the Pogba camp and his advisers, who also represent Manchester City's ex-Inter striker Mario Balotelli, are set on an exit.

Ferguson is expected to shun Pogba if he does to commits to Inter, leaving him out of the side for the remaining months of his contract.

United suspect Pogba has made up his mind to leave them and are already searching the globe for a young midfielder to take his place in the squad - and ease their shortage of bodies in that area.

Believable23 Unbelievable5

Could just be tabloid talk, but 9 times out of 10 there's no smoke without fire. We need him now but I genuinely wouldn't blame the lad if he did want to leave. Other teams - when they have 18yr old prodigys in the reserves who are owning the league - give them a solid chance in the first team, even if it's off the bench regularly.

We've not given him this and he's obviously a player who feels he deserves better than playing in front of 45 people on a drizzley Tuesday night in Bury. I for one, agree.

'Ferguson is expected to shun Pogba if he does to commits to Inter, leaving him out of the side for the remaining months of his contract.'
When was it the last time he played for the first team?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir alex ferguson is the greatest manger of all time he knows how to develop and bring through young players ,he never rushes them,if pogba was that great he would be playing reguarly.I myself believe the young lad believes he is better than saf does and is being badly advised on his career.We have supposedly offered him 15 grand a week and hes refused.If he cant be gratfull with that amount of money a week at his young age i hope saf gets rid of him,we may lose out on a future great but we are better off without having a spoilt brat and a big time charlie tarnishing are great club.The boy will never have a better chance of acheving it all and a better teacher than working and learning under saf.What a little prat.joeyored

Agree0 Disagree0

Amen to that. Sounds like a case of cart before the horse with him. Hasn't started a game at senior level and didn't look ready in the subs appearances he's had. If his only aim in his career is to line his pockets without earning it you'd have to question his future anyway as a top top player anyway, and is certainly not the type of attitude you want to foster and reward in the long run.

Wilbur

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if we wanted him to stay enough Fergie would be able to keep him.

He has the wrong attitude aready so would prob be better off without him.

and we talk about brightest young talents but I have seen this lad play a few times now and every single time he has been awful! There is a massive step up between playing for youth and being in the premier league. Morrison on the otherhand looks class but I'm not convinced about Pogba, he showed as much in his last outing when he came on in the Carling Cup!

I read this last night on the mirrors website.

here is what one of the comment from a user (banana-rama) on the site. not sure if is true, maybe someone else can verify.

Why is it being reported everywhere that Pogba's contract expires at the end of the season, this is wrong information. The first time i heard this suggested was on , every other media outlet has followed on from this incorrect information for some bizzare reason without checking its validity.

POGBA'S CONTRACT RUNS UNTIL 2013, IT DOES NOT EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE SEASON, HE IS NOT FREE TO TALK TO OTHER CLUBS IN JANUARY, HE CANNOT LEAVE ON A FREE TRANSFER.

I would like to remind the author of this article that he has a responsibility to his profession to check the validity of his information before posting articles, the job of a journalist is to print the truth, not to make up stories out of thin air to fill space on a slow news day, which is what Alan Nixon has done here.

For those who read it the first time and don't quite get it, MR ALAN NIXON INCLUDED, i will say it one more time for extra emphasis, pogba's contract does not expire at the end of season, it runs until 2013, he cannot leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, he is not free to talk to other clubs in january.

Pogba is an important part of manchester united's future, and i fully expect it to be announced very soon that he has signed a lengthy new contract, he made clear in his most recent interview that he has no intention of leaving the club and that his dream is to make it at united, so i have no idea where all these stories about him leaving are coming from, because there is no basis of truth to the stories whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

I always have been of the opinion Pogba would leave I also think that has something to do with his lack of chances for Utd feck him I say

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, so much for the most prized young player we have., I wonder if you lot will change your tune back to 'awesome glad he's staying, future captain' if this proves to be nonsense?

Embarassing to see everyone turn on him, rather than start questioning WHY he wants to leave. Red-tinted shades, some people - the club/manager can never do wrong, therefore it MUST be the player.

RED_SKY

Agree0 Disagree0

Not at all, don't follow the youth team and only ever seen Pogba in 4 matches inc youth cup against Liverpool and carling cup. Was anonymous in both games. Someone with such a talent should surely have the nerve and ability to shine on those occasions. granted not everyone plays well every game but he struck me as nothing special!

Agree0 Disagree0

Turncilles (sorry about the spelling) energy along side him is what Pogba misses! with Turncliffe racing all over the midfield it gives Pogba the time and space to play his game, Its this that he has missed in his appearances so far (based upon the games that i have seen Pogba play in)

Agree0 Disagree0

People may not know the exact reason behind why Pogba wants to leave.
Maybe he never wanted to leave to start with and the news might just be a total rumour. So without any facts I guess its wrong to criticise either Pogba or Sir Flex(if anyone wondering why this kid is not given chances)

regarding cahill
i believe chelsea are in greater need of a cb as they have an aging terry and a mystifying luiz and not alot else where as if he were to come here he would have vidic, smalling, rio and jones ahead of him (maybe even evans too) so i just cant see him choosing us over chelsea, it is also 1of the reasons why i believe we will go 4 rodwell.
ed, IF we are interested in torres how likely is it they would they sell to us?
also how much interest do we really have in khedira and hazard?

dags {Ed002's Note - Chelsea would have no problems selling Torres to Manchester United, but (1) he is not for sale right now; (b) I don't see Manchester United have any interest. Khedira may well be of interest to Manchester United. As for Hazard, nnless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.}
