I kno u wil all slate me saying I'm a liar, but I have a very very good source about the ravel Morrison situation, I won't say who cos everyone will say I'm making it up but someone extreamly close to him told me today that he is eyeing up a move to city. If he's not sold this window to someone this window, expect him in a blue shirt very soon. U dnt av to believe me but this guy us really really close to him. Sorry guys

Big Mac

Believable11 Unbelievable20

Well if he's moving cause he isn't getting first team football, a move to city is hardly gona fix that now is it?

Agree16 Disagree2

Ur absolutely right, seems as tho he's in it for the money! If he go's there then it's his own fault if he's second fiddle. Don't get me wrong the guys got talent but he is without doubt a first class to55er

Big Mac

Agree8 Disagree2

I have to say, the move makes sense from his point of view. He can see that he'll get away with murder, all he has to do is look at Balotelli. He get's to stay hanging round with his gang. Saying that, I don't think he'll be leaving, this reminds me a lot of the Sneijder Saga last year, lots of talk, but nothing really happening, a load of s**t stirring from the press and agents, etc.

Percy

Agree3 Disagree1

Having followed his tweets for the last couple of weeks, I get the feeling he is not pushing for an exit and kind of pi**ed by all the rumours.
I thought there was confirmation from his (former?) agent that his contract runs through 2014?

Really hope we see our highly praised youth reach their potential at Old Trafford, not somewhere else. Could be a great generation with Morrison, Pogba, Fryers, Petrucci, Keane brothers, Lingard etc.

Agree5 Disagree2

A very close member of his family used to work at wiseman dairies wer I used to work (embarrassing I kno but desperate times) now I sing part time in a pub in Eccles and he came in yesterday so I asked him. He twinged his face n said "he's edging for a move to city, some united fan eh?"
it might not happen, the kid does support united so hopefully the love of the club wil make him sign, but like I said, the man I spoke to is really close.

With Berbatov leaving, probably Owen, Macheda and Diouf all going for good soon then we have gone from 7 strikers to 3. We need a winger cover and another striker so why not try to do a deal with Porto for Hulk. Maybe offer cash plus Macheda and Anderson? Just a thought.

Believable4 Unbelievable16

A rumour based almost entirely on assumptions.....nice!
:)

Also, Isn't Hulks buyout up near £80mil? (or Euro?)

We don't need strikers. Wish people would stop fixating on strikers...surely you can see we need other probems solving more urgently. Our strikers aren't scoring, in general, because the service has been pants. Get better service, get goals.

And leave Ando and Berbs where they are tyvm. Top players both of them.

Agree8 Disagree6

Fergie seems to have a lot of faith in Will Keane...even brought him on when losing in the Blackburn game. Maybe he will get more of a chance?

Funky Pigeon

Agree4 Disagree0

Do you know how much money Porto will want for Hulk? Think Torres money and your still not close enough. United have money but not £60 million plus for one player.

United Till I Die 1987 {Ed007's Note - His buy out clause is reported as £84 million (100 million Euros).

Agree2 Disagree0

They always put a figure like that on just to scare people off, he wont go for that price {Ed007's Note - I never said he would go for that, but if Porto don't want to sell him that is the price that will need paid to trigger his release. That's why they insert the clause.}

there is all this talk about everyone wanting to sign gotze these days, but why don't we just go for kagawa instead? he is(in my opinion) as good as gotze, but dortmund would be more willing to sell him because he is second best!

Believable7 Unbelievable4

I agree, I would much rather have Kagawa than say Honda
Sparty On

Agree4 Disagree4

I would much rather go for Kagawa than Gotze and Honda too, class act. Although Honda would still be an awesome piece of business

Kagawa's form this season has been awful and thats y the rumours of kagawa has gone numb!

Dimitar Berbatov is travelling for talks over a return to Bayer Leverkusen, while there is also interest from Bayern Munich and Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Manchester United striker has fallen down the rankings in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans and, with his current contract set to expire in the summer, he has been linked with a move.

Berbatov said in December he had no plans to leave Old Trafford, but he was on Sunday spotted taking a flight to Frankfurt, where he was expected to hold discussions with Leverkusen.

There has been talk of United possibly offering the 30-year-old a 12-month contract extension, but there is also interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and wealthy Russian club Anzhi.

Berbatov left Leverkusen in 2006 to join Tottenham, before moving on to Untied in 2008 in a £30.75million switch.

does this mean we will buy another player in jan, doesn't make sense to sell in january and not replace him, I know we have wellbeck, and hernandez but surely they must be looking at buying someone. {Ed007's Note - There is no interest from Anzhi and the one year extension is part of his current contract.}

Our next three signings will be:

Mateo Kovacic - £7.5 million.
Emilio Izaguirre - £10 million.
Jack Rodwell - £15 million.

We may also see:

Alvaro Vadillo - £2.5 million.

RedDevil19

Believable4 Unbelievable14

I don't know why Fergie has so much interest in Rodwell? The only good things about him I can see is that he's English but that only drives up the price and that he can play CM and CB.. Not worth the money IMO when we have Pogba coming through, unless he's leaving?

Cooper

Agree7 Disagree1

If that were our next 3 signings then that would sum up our buying policy at the minute

all good players, but they are the cheaper options to those that we would all love us to sign..

A while back the Spanish press and agents tipped Iker Muniain to come to us, anyone think that this sounds realistic?

RedDevil19

Believable4 Unbelievable6

He was offered at a very high price...

think this was so they would not have to sell martinez

Agree2 Disagree1

If United were going to buy any Bilbao player it should in my opinion be Javi Martinez, he is pure quality and what our midfield lacks someone with abit of bite and he can play CB pretty well too. Infact this season he been playing most of his football at CB for Bilbao.

anyone seen the pick of berba on a plane heading germany? Any news eds? tom 17 (talksh1te website for the pic) {Ed007's Note - It could be Tom. Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, PSG, Fenerbahce and CSKA Moscow all have varying levels of interest in Berbatov. After speaking to Ed002 though she thought it was strange he was going to Frankfurt unless he was flying long haul. Oh to be part of the international jet-set and know these things about airports!!}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The Frankfurt Airport is only a 45 minutes drive to Leverkusen. Couldn't reps from Leverkusen meet up in Frankfurt anyway? Away from prying eyes?

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - That could be a possibility Syd. Travel is not my strong point.}

Agree2 Disagree2

Since one of my stabilisers broke on my penny farthing, I haven't been out much either mate ;)

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - LOL Moneypenny hides my crutches when she goes out to save me 'wandering' :-)

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeah you'd have a meet at a hotel near airport, makes sense.

I appreciate all his goals, his little flicks and tricks but he's never been a United player, and just for his own career he needs to go.

Agree2 Disagree0

Have you seen the film 'Misery'? Are you the writer? Does she think you are writing her a novel whilst on the laptop ;)

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - I don't think I can say on here what she thinks I get up to on the computers ;-)

Heard a cheeky one about us making a bid for Granero this morning.

Any truth to it? I think if he got a chance he could be decent.

I very much doubt it.

A couple of days ago i said that Honda might not be a bad shout, and his name has come up in the press today. So what do people think? He's a versatile central midfielder and a dead ball specialist.

Whats peoples opinion? Ed, Syd?

RedDevil19 {Ed007's Note - I like him as a player.}

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Great replacement for Park.
Bring Honda, and sell Park later.

Agree3 Disagree8

Why not go one better...try to offload park (£3m) and anderson (£8m) replacing them with honda & shaqiri (approx £25m combined)...a net spend of only £13m approx...with the result of much better options in our midfield squad. More pace, better techique and so on

Also should let either Giggs/Scholes retire in summer freeing more space on the wage bill...then go for Jordi Martinez or Jack Rodwell (depending on funds)

If we are struggling for money right now moves like this would at least go some way to keeping me happy (ish). After all we've always done better buying good but not world class players

Gav

Agree4 Disagree6

Gav i'd go with most of that, Giggs and Scholes should both retire and offload Park or Anderson or even both.

I remember when i discovered honda. Was actually during the world cup i remember turning on the tv just as he was placing the ball down for his superb free kick against Denmark. Ever since i've always read up about what he's doing. I know Arsenal were interested with Wenger labelling him as a 'genius'. Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, and now PSG seem to have some level of interest.

Here's that beautiful free kick vs Denmark

Ed's, Syd! or anyone
Someone told me lastnight that Berbatov is being sold to Bayer Leverkusen, Is this true at all? If it is I hope we don't sell him for like £5 million, he's still worth 12-15 surely?

United Till I Die 1987 {Ed007's Note - Bayer Leverkusen have a long standing interest in Berbatov but I don't know of any bid in this window as yet. There was strong interest in him from them and others in the summer.}

Ferguson is willing to offer Lille a player swap as part of the deal Mame Biram Diouf who he could be willing part with along with the £25m in order to persuade Lille to sell Hazard.

MD_11 {Ed002's Note - Manchester United have not had any contact with Lille at all at this time.}

Believable7 Unbelievable8

You just read the last post about Chelsea offer player + cash and made that up didn't you? ;) C'mon admit it.

"I would pick Manchester United over Madrid." - Eden Hazard.

The Belgian playmaker is one of the most sought after young players in the world and despite interest from Madrid and Barcelona he would be interested in a Premier League move.

I SURELY LIKE HAZARD IN THE RED JERSEY OF UNITED....
AND IT SEEMS HE MIGHT STAY LOYAL AS AT LAST SOME GREAT TALENT HAS PICKED US OVER REAL AND BARCA...

RamoN 19
RamoN {Ed002's Note - Unless an extraordinary bid matching the clubs valuation is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Whilst Real Madrid or Barcelona remain his preferred destination PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem. However, Chelsea have discussed the player with Lille and a move by Chelsea is very much a possibility right now. Additionally they may offer up a younger player to move in the other direction come the summer (when he will be available).}

Do you have a link for that quote? I can't find it.

I hate to say about rumours and transfers because i think you never really know what's going to happen and not all the players and fans can get what they really want in an ideal situation. Pogba would love to stay and so would I. For me it's my home team and where i have grown up the most promising for the first team is fryers king lingaard that's what i'd say. No way of telling, thanks for the support though.

That is what Ravel replied to a fan on facebook when asked on his future.

RED91

Believable5 Unbelievable7

That's a lot of characters for Twitter

Agree8 Disagree1

Don't think he would spell lindegaard's (right way) name wrong either. Lingaard (wrong way)

Strider98

Agree1 Disagree11

I don't think he was trying to spell Lindegaard I think it was Jesse Lingard but he got that wrong as well.

Rjmanutd

Agree8 Disagree0

@Strider98

Jesse Lingaard is a United youth team player.

REDFAITH

Agree4 Disagree0

@strider98
Lindegaard was bought last January
Lingaard is from Youth Academy

Agree4 Disagree0

Or maybe he was talking about Jesse lingaard eh strider? Not lindegaard lol u should really look before u post. I cudnt find this tho on ravels Twitter. Where bouts is it?

Big Mac

Agree1 Disagree0

'strider98'

well the keeper is called Lindegaard, there is also an academy player called Jesse Lingard.. So could have meant him

Ozwald

Agree2 Disagree0

He's on about jesse lingaard

Agree1 Disagree0

He means jesse lingard, not lindegaard.

Agree1 Disagree0

Its lingaard the outfield player not the keeper,he is already in the first team having played the last two games and fryers has featured the most out of the reserves.

Agree0 Disagree2

Would have expected a fan to know our players ;-)
He (doubt it was actually Ravel, since I can't find it on his twitter) meant Jesse Lingard (still misspelled though)

I do believe, from what I take from his tweets, that he wants to stay, but I guess he is frustrated with lack of action and/or his agent his telling how much greener the grass is everywhere else

Agree1 Disagree0

Strider98
Lingaard is a youth player the same age as morrison {Ed002's Note - It is way too long for a single message - why are you all so gullible?}

Agree4 Disagree2

Lingaard is a youngster in the reserves, you are not a united fan i am guessing?

Agree1 Disagree1

Its fake. From a fake facebook. And dated about a week ago.

Also, it refers to Jesse Lingard, not Lindegaard.

Agree3 Disagree0

It was on Facebook so no restriction to 140 characters and lingaard is a youth player he is not referring to the goalkeeper....is ravel really worth all this hassle??

Agree0 Disagree1

It is clearly not Ravel as Ravel's spelling and grammar is a lot worse than that.

Sydney!

Agree8 Disagree2

Ravel has never said that, but if you do read down through his tweets you do get the sense that he is a bit angry about all the rumours. he's always talking to rio on it too, who would never be afraid to clip him round the ear if he got out of line. ML8

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Fergie said it best when quoting the great Sir Matt and I think we should leave it at that....let him go if thats what he wants united will go on ....

'You hope he gets the right advice, but it's down to the individual also. Matt Busby summed it up perfectly, that you don't need to chase money at a club like Manchester United, it will eventually find you.

'If you're good enough, you will earn money and become rich playing for Manchester United.

'It's one of these situations that they can chase the money early in their career, but at the end, it's not the same as if they'd stayed here. He just needs to look round about him to realise that.'

Agree1 Disagree0

Everyone is going on and on about Ravel and the talent he is and I have no doubt the lad is and am desperate like the rest of you that he stays and succeeds at United but the one player I think we should be getting excited about and who should be getting plaudits is Ryan Tunncliffe! The lad was outstanding for the youth, has got his head down, gone out on loan and become a regular for a senior team much like David Beckham did. Yes Ravel is a talent but the likes of Tunncliffe with their attitude are the future of United so maybe we should let the Ravel saga run it's course and what will be will be because with Tunncliffe and the other youngsters there is still alot for us to be excited about in the future!
