Cant follow the figures though although I doubt any journo knows. The Indy saying Arsenal wanted Martial PLUS cash? and now its 30 million PLUS Miki? neither of those deals look good to me.

I can't see Chelsea splashing the cash when there is an unknown with the manager. Probably going public to satisfy fans that they tried.

Replacement for Hazard is my guess. Hopefully just BS, but if they are in the mix it will be a problem for us I think - these foreigners seem to love London, I doubt they spend much time partying, learning the history and shops you can find anywhere - it's just convenience and the 'image'.

I genuinely don't see the draw in London for a professional footballer over other major cities in the UK.

only 24 hrs since JM said " he's a very good player, he will train tomorrow and play on Monday "

Clearest indication yet as to what is about to unfold.

i can't see how we are giving them Mhiki and cash. £30 million with 6 months left on his contract seems fine but £30 million and Mhiki, I'd want Ozil as well for that.

15 Jan 2018 22:51:17
Maybe Ozil is coming too.

Miki, Smalling, £35m - Oezil, Sanchez and Bellerin - make it happen!

Ed002, sorry to bother, just wondered if there was any update with regards to Sanchez. With Wengers saying it could be done in 24/ 48 hours is there any progress ether way? Where do you see his most likely destination? Thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "most likely" questions sensibly. Wenger ill likely be right that it will be completed soon - perhaps in the next couple of days but there is no agreement just yet.}

Twitchy bum time, we'll just have to wait and see.

Notice that it says will be completed but not where he will complete to. I still struggle to believe he will be a Utd player with it seeming so nailed on for city for so long.

Ed is it true that arsenal want martial.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - they are losing sanchez, ozil and probably walcott jred so they will need replacements of high quality, im sure the likes of martial will come into the equation but i have not heard that it will be him specifically mate..

Cheers ed.

I think City will take Sanchez in the end especially if Arsenal can't get the player (s) they want in exchange from us. We are a rival to Arsenal's top 4 aspirations so doesn't make sense for them to strengthen us and weaken their own chances. Catching City is out of their scope this year.

City are only out of range for 3/ 4 months then it’s a meek playing field next season, so City are still a rival club they’d be selling too.

I certainly wouldn't want Sanchez if it will cost us Martial. Martial's potential is huge.

Id be fustrated if we let martial leave to get sanchez he's played well on the left. Has been one of our better performers.

Totally agree if its the case of losing Martial then i am definitely against signing Sanchez.

Doubt we'd let martial go. And arsenal ain't a rival for top 4.

can't see jose letting martial go. His ceiling of potential is massive and in 2-3 years I expect real to come calling for him. It was be a massive step down for him to go to arsenal who are in turmoil so I think it is just the media stirring to sell copies. I don't doubt arsenal have interest in him but I cannot see us including him in any deal to bring sanchez in.

Please tell me and assure me Martial WILL NOT LEAVE with this Sanchez deal?

Massive backwards step if this happens!

A lot of reports United knocked the swap deal with martial back.

I can't see anyway that martial will be let go. You can see he has magic in his feet. I'm hoping that working with a player like sanchez will help martial realise his potential. Sanchez has such good movement off the ball, it's an area where martial needs to improve so if martial wants to improve and I'm sure he does then he has an opporrunity to work with a 1st class operator every day so he will learn. Rash too for that matter.

I think the attacking part of our squad is in pretty good shape. 2 players with huge potential in rash and martial. Lukaku a more than decent goal scorer but pretty inexperienced in European competition. Mata a pretty solid and experienced pro. Jessie on fire. Sanchez adds great experience and that extra goal threat and touch of class and magic.

Miki looks to be a goner and ibra looks to be finished so the chance to get a player of the pedigree of sanchez is amazing imo.

Reports from Chile saying that Sanchez to utd deal is stuck because mkhi doesn't like Arsenal and is not keen to go, so unlike mkhi to completely mess up a good move.

Maybe Mhki is returning to Dortmund with Aubameyang off to Arsenal.
