Anyone hearing about united are
Launching a
32 million bid for kaka? Source redarmy.co.uk
I rate it's just a rumour any thoughts?

Believable10 Unbelievable41

If i read that source correctly doesnt that suggest that both WS and Kaka SAF wants . IF (and thats a big if) that was to happen i could honestly say we d be unstoppable in Prem and id go as far as saying we d do to Barca what they did to us last seasson TORQS

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka isn't the brilliant player of 2008-9, but a pale shadow of what he once was. I really wouldn't want him at OT for £10m. for £32m I'd think SAF wine had be spiked
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir alex said he didnt want to buy anyone over 27, which is why he withdrew his £28 mill villa bid last year, so i doubt hed go for kaka, whos like 30

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no chance we will sign kaka he's too old and 30mil ish

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one do not think this is true, but I do think that Kaka is a better player than you are saying. he has been unlucky with injuries over past couple seasons, but if 100% fit would be a tremendous player again. You don't lose all the ability and talent that won you the Ballon D'or in a bad season.
The only questions are, is he fit enough and if so worth the gamble?

Sambo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you sambo, but I would still prefer sneijder over him and we would hopefully sign him or atleast pastore who is playing really well tonight for Argentina.

I would use the 4 2 3 1 that inter beat barca using and holland came close to beating spain.

Apparently we will be signing Cissokho early next week, not sure if it's Aly or Moussa have any of the Eds heard anything? {Ed007's Note - Aly Cissokho is on his way out of Lyon, but no one has met their valuation yet.}

Believable8 Unbelievable45

As long as its not sissko in hit tho tho tho thong

There is a lot of difference in thier surnames, , , one is Alhy cissokho and the other one is Moussa sissoko (i guess)
DJ {Ed007's Note - Away!!! You looked that up lol ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool are being linked constantly with Aly Cissokho at the minute. They reckon Lyon are after around £9 million for him.

United are not interested in him as they have Evra and Fabio for left back positioning.

I think when the rumours were going around that Evra was going to leave and join Madrid then maybe we would've turned to him to replace Evra but Evra isn't going anywhere... not this season anyway. {Ed007's Note - Benfica, Juventus and Roma are amongst the clubs who have shown an interest also, I don't think Utd are what so ever}

Just had it confirmed Man Utd have agreed fee with Inter for Wesley Sneijder now they have to agree on his wages when he arrives in Manchester might take a little longer than to sort out but my understanding is he will sign. It will been in one papers 2mora that he has signed but they are wrong just fee agreed not wages yet. Before you say not reliable source i was one told you Young would get no.18 shirt. Yes true on Sneijder waving goodbye to Inter fans had it confirmed as well.

Believable37 Unbelievable29

Lets take it when it is official, ...we had this kind of rumour in the past.....So i say chill for the moment......we ll celebrate when its done..

ESPN now reporting Sneijder waving goodbye after training session and also quoting one of the Inter reporters saying he said goodbye to his team mates after the Training Session. Come on. {Ed007's Note - As this is new reports breaking out we will post them up, but the page will NOT be getting flooded with unsubstantiated "WS to sign on Monday " over and over again}

Believable35 Unbelievable11

This site is very quiet since you decided to stop rumours that you do not like...
Like it or not the attraction for the kids posting is the excitment of a potential new signing.
Dont play God...
Wesley is a big catch. Aguerro and Nasri to City is a worry. Think about it Ed... {Ed007's Note - I have already explained that there is absolutely no point filling the page with made up stories that Sneijder is signing. There was 100s of post yesterday saying he was in Manchester, was he? Do you want to read the same thing over and over again? It is site policy not to post repetitive posts, they just clog up the pages. I actually really do fail to see your point in all this. The attraction of the site is to listen to others rumours and to discuss football and a bit of banter, once you have read a rumour 50 times it can become tedious. By your reckoning I should post up the umpteen posts I get about Messi, Ronaldo, Beckham, or the latest name the "kids" have discovered on FM moving to Utd, and also the complete bile that the "kids" you mention try to post. No one is playing God, do you know what the word editor means? It means I edit and choose what posts get used, and I would like to think I am quite fair with everyone. If we weren't here and it was an automated service, the posts would be nonsense and nobody would bother visiting for any discussions, it would be just point scoring against rival fans.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst the majority of the poorly spelt and researched rumours on here are amusing, I'm with them editors on this one. 50 variations on Sneijder signing does get tedious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed I'm fed up reading 50 times a day that Sneijder, snider, snjeider is joining Utd it makes a trip to the page pointless
All the Eds do a great job....oh yeh BTW Sneijder signs monday hahahaha j/k

Pardoe {Ed007's Note - Thanks Pardoe, that is my point exactly}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 0007, if Sneijder signs 99% of us will be happy to read about him on this page but not when some of the posts are made up tosh, good stuff out of you Ed for getting rid of the complete repetitive nonsense.

Nababs Son :) {Ed007's Note - Thanks again, I was starting to doubt myself a bit over it all}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree the sneijder stuff was getting a but repetitive, but is this one true? Couldn't find it on espn myself?

Agree0 Disagree0

Should search sneijder on twitter that's hundre times worse

My dad has alot of business in Germany and a colleague of his out there is a season ticket holder at bayern and claims to be "in the know" He seems to think that the sneijder issue has been cooled by Sir Alex as Schweinsteiger has made himself available to offers(obv bayern won't want to sell but in today's game, players have the power) after being disillusioned with Bayern's season last year United is also his favoured destination as bizarrely his brother, who he seems very close to, is a massive united fan I know this shouldn't be a reason for him to choose us but it seems to of worked on Schweinsteiger

Believable20 Unbelievable46

I'm reading nothing into this rumour at all. I don't believe we will get him as we've been linked with him since he was 21 years old.

Would be a great buy if United done enough to bring him to Old Trafford but I'd say there was no more than a 20% chance of Schweinsteiger coming to United.

Agree0 Disagree0

Schweinsteiger is the best possible option for United. If he comes, it will be the best signing of the century..
Very unlikely though..

DC_9

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreeing with the other two comments, i would prefer schwein, to sneijder and any other centre mid we've been linked to.
he is approaching the peak in his career, he has more defense to his game than sneijder yet he can still attack like a rottweiler, aha
but seriously i think he is the best person to replace thee one and only paul scholes

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you joking, sneijder is so much better than schweinsteiger, he's done far more in the game, been tested at every level. schweinsteiger has stayed in the german league all his career. Granted he is a very good player but i feel he has nowwhere near the ability to which sneijder possesses

Agree0 Disagree0

I've got say, the way Sneijder and his advisors have played this, do we really want him, and in turn does he want to play for us? SAF seems to have the same idea, by his recent press release, however with the Italian economy rapidly being flushed down the toilet, a cheeky "I see no ships" from Fergie could force a cheaper deal.
I still prefer Schweinsteiger though.

united to sell carrick and bring in schwienstiger and also attempt to buy lahm from german giants bayern munich as fergie thinks the da silva brothers need a top class wing back to model themselves on for the future

Believable15 Unbelievable59

Sorry mate, but doesn t look practical, , , 1st of all why would bayer sell one of their key players, ..Schwine and Lahm.

We are very well balanced in defense, our strike force is the best in Premiership with Rooney, Chicha, Berbatov, Macheda, Welbeck, Owen, Diouf.

We have plenty of wingers as well, what we need is just best Central Midfielders, defensive/Attacking.

MUFC100

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he sell carrick, even though he is sh*t he signed a 3 yr contract last year

bart

Agree0 Disagree0

MUFC 100

I believe in Rooney and Hernandez we have the one of the best in the premiership. Hernandez still has a lot to learn. The rest are not as good as others for me.
I really cannot understand why Berbatov should stay given the reasons I have given previously. If he does I think it will be a huge error.
I dont believe Diouf or Welbeck are quite United quality, happy to be proved wrong but our standard is very high and I just feel they fall short.
Macheda has talent but lacks pace.

Red Man

Agree0 Disagree0

"they need a top class wing back to model themselves on for the future" ... so Evra then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir alex has said before that he feels both brothers are clearly able to be regulars for united NOW, and their is currently no finer full/wing back in the world then evra, and no more experienced then our now coach gary neville, so they should not need one, however someone like roberto carlos to move in as a coach would be a good idea to try and push them to the next level, which is world class defenders

Believable46 Unbelievable29

M'Vila said in his own words that he isn't even leaving Rennes anytime soon.

This was said right at the beginning of this summers transfer window when Liverpool were linked with him.

Man utd set to use the money earned from selling oshea, brown and gibson-- 13.5 million to bid for adel taarabt

RED ARMY

Believable12 Unbelievable76

This would be a good signing imo. If we can get him now for cheap, cos i can see him having an amazing season and price rocketing up to £30+ mil at the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Err not sure you have noticed but Gibson is still dreaming of a big fat wage packet and surprise surprise he is still with us so we are a few million short on your figures
ARB

Agree0 Disagree0

Wishfull thinking on your part, we have not got rid of gibson yet still time though .

Agree0 Disagree0

1st Gibson is still at united. Taarabat messed his chance up when we watched him in the winter

Agree0 Disagree0

Never, manchester united would not bother buying taarabt for that amount of money when they could put it towards one of sir alex's shortlist, like nasri, sweinstiger or sniejer

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah right, taarabt is just the sort of disruptive influence needed. Plus no epl experience

Fergie to sign ganso from santos for 26million all others are smoke screen also if deal can't be struck might go for costa from shakthar

Believable19 Unbelievable48

Now this is more realistic, ganso and douglas costa both look like great young players with a lot of potential, AND much cheaper than all these big/common names you keep hearin. With fergie constantly stating there is no value in the transfer market these players are the players we're most likely to get.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be over the moon if this were true as i've been raving about Ganso to anyone who will listen for the past year. Costas would also be good, bags of potential and been doing well since coming to europe.

Also agree with other posters comments about "value in the market". These seem like far sensible buys, both with potential to be world class.

man utd to bring in 3 more players before transfer deadline day

cavani on his way for around 25-30 million
sniejder on his way for 35.2 million fergusan just saying there not interested so when he does sign everyone will be really surprised
diarra on his way either in a loan deal to replace fletcher who looks as if hes going to miss start of season with a virus or in a 17.25 million deal
UTD TILL I DIE BRING ON NUMBER 20

Believable22 Unbelievable63

Cavani has a 100 million price tag on him. Napoli done it to see off any interest from any other club in him.

Sneijder... I give up on this rumour. If he signs he signs, if he don't... he don't.

Diarra I can see coming. Wouldn't be a bad signing imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

They will not get 100 million for Cavani though he would be a brilliant player here. Though who would start Cavani or Chicharito
The Red Manc

Agree0 Disagree0

You honestly think we'll buy cavani for £30 mil? yeah no chance.

The only way we'd spend that much on another forward is if rooney does play in midfield which i don't think he will, in which case we wouldn't get sneijder, so you don't really make much sense..

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant trust anyone's word who cant spell ferguson.

1redarmy

Agree0 Disagree0

100 million is the price tag on Edinson Cavani. They don't want to sell him so they put this ridiculous price tag on him so that all the clubs interested in him would turn to someone else.

They've done the same with Hamsik and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do it with Lavezzi aswell.

It's done on purpose so that nobody goes for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see us signing another player, but will we really be spending another £60 odd mil on top of the players we have already got?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2011 11:53:59
There were rumours last year about us buying Xavi from Barcelona if Fabregas was bought.
With potential of Pogba, Morrison and Tunnicliffe it seems to me to make perfect sense to be looking at a short term option like Xavi again, to give these kids a bit of time to realise thier potential and someone to learn from for the next 2/3 seasons.

Believable17 Unbelievable58

Would be a great idea, accept the fact he would cost a hell of a lot and i don't think he'd wanna leave barcelona for anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is the plan and after the deal fell through last summer due to fabragas not moving in the end. Xavi would relish a new challenge and a premier league swan song for a few years. This was why Scholes stayed an extra year last season as the deal fell through last minute

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2011 10:18:32
Hi Guys

Well it looks like Sneijder and Nasri is a no no. Not enough money to convince them to come to Manchester. Lets be honest hasn't it always been the same. Veron was an exception to the rule, but really what top class worldwide footballer have we ever been able to attract. I can't for the life of me think why as I look out of my front bedroom window with a force 9 gale blowing and it teaming down with rain here in Moston.

City can afford the extra 10m on the market value and wages to convince players to come, we will have to get used to it unfortunately. Hopefully the takeovers of PSG and Malaga CF may neutralise them a little, we'll see.

I suppose the question is if you take Nasri and Wesley S out of the equation who is there out there available to buy, of any real class to replace Ginge. I have said it all along we may have to put Rooney in the hole

Mike the Moston Red

Believable21 Unbelievable37

Cheer up Mike. We need to buy young, and let world class players develop. Goetze of Dortmund will be class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike chill man you are beginning to sound like the Moston "BLUE"
ARB

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike

We shouldn't even dream of moving Rooney from where he plays just off the front. He is going to be the best player in the world in that position next year and we should build our team to accommodate him.

Scholes has only had a moderate impact on the first team for the last 2 seasons anyway, so it's not a case of us replacing him so much as strengthening our midfield.

DarkLard08

Agree0 Disagree0

Snijder(sorry about the spelling) or nasari would b great buys but money talks so maybe we have to look elsewhere as was said playing Rooney in midfield would be stupid, may I suggest somebody like cahill or artetta from everton would not cost too much, if we go for a younger player what about McCarthy from wigan? Really would love to see snijder and narasi move but the two together will not happen

Agree0 Disagree0

I think fergy likes the partnership of rooney and pea to much to split it up
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't understand, surely people can see our midfield isn't strong enough to compete with the top clubs. We need improvements in the midfield quick and we have to spend the money. Even if the market is over priced or not, the top clubs are spending and strengthening their squads so we have to spend if we like it or not. We cant wait for the youth/fringe players to come through, we need people that deliver now before the damage is done.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is still time to buy none of the other big teams have done much yet
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

In case you haven't noticed no Prem League club has secured a Transfer of an expensive player currently in Europe. That isn't down to our lack of trying or funds but because of the taxes in this country. Also in the case of Sneijder its not money but his other half who simply doesn't want to live in Manchester. She is a supermodel who divides her time between Milan and LA. Hmmm. Can you blaim her really. Lets just wait and see and in the meantime get behind the squad we have. And on a happier note at least we haven't conceded 6 goals in pre-season like a certain scouse team.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could sign Mata and we could sign Pastore. I personally would love to get Pastore. Gilly

From what I gather:

Sneijder: Inter claim he is not for sale and yesterday Alex Ferguson said there was never any interest in Sneijder at the start when the media claimed we were after him.

Nasri: Rumour has it that Man City are winning the race for him. Rumour also claims that should he join City... He will be on around £180,000 a week.

Modric: Rumour has it that he has handed in an official transfer request to push forward his "dream" move to Chelsea.

Pastore: Rumour has it he will leave Palermo. £40m price tag though... Don't know if Fergie would shed that much on him.

Hamsik: Forget about him. He and Cavani both had 100 million euros price tag slapped on them to see off any interest in these players from other clubs.

Looking at all these I would actually just play Rooney behind the 2 strikers. Sell Berbatov and buy someone like Podolski to team up with Hernandez. I don't know why nobody is going for Podolski. He is still young and a very dangerous striker when he gets the ball. £25 million would be enough to buy him I would say.

Believable18 Unbelievable38

Podolski is good so I concur with your comments old chap. Hamsik is not as good as he thinks he is and certainly not worth the money. Pip

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski always seems to be far better on the international stage to me than domestically.
Would have to agree, from watching Hamsik during and since the world cup, he has dissapointed me immensely nearly everytime I have seen him. Still it has been said last season was his worst and you can see that technically he is a good player. He must be a hell of a lot better than shown last season to have had the hype he has.

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski is a very good player but only for Germany he would not be able to cut it at premier league level and anyway he is better as a left winger cutting inside to join the attack and lets face it Nani is better for that although both have great shots

I have a feeling that this will happen....

We'll continue to be linked to top class midfielders until the end of the transfer window but we won't sign one

As he has many times before, Fergie will say "there's no value in the market" and will look for "someone to step up within the club"

I don't necessarily think thats a bad thing cos Pogba & Ravel will want to step up and I think they're ready...whether they can replace scholesy is a different matter

What do u think ed?? {Ed002's Note - I disagree. I expect a midfield player to be signed.}

Believable21 Unbelievable7

Wouldn't surprise me at all to hear the "no value in the market" line to be rolled out again for this year. unfortunately, as we still have the poorest squad in years i believe this is the season we will pay the price for a lack of investment in world class quality players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if SAF was going to promote pogba or Morrison then they would be on the tour

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that they will be ready for next season not this season but you never know untill you give them the chance look at smalling when he was at fulham they gave him a chance now look how good he is i wud like us 2 buy a midfielder and give pogba and morrison 1st football occainaly and i dont mean in cups i mean in prem
