I must say I am not shocked if this happens. But then it means we must bring in 1. Strootman, Thiago, Ginkel, Garay and Luke Shaw or Baines. Fellaini is a bonus and will give us a different dimension.

Manchester United striker Bebe has expressed an interest in completing a summer switch to Sporting Lisbon. He has struggled for game time in England and has spent much of the last two seasons out on loan at Besiktas and Rio Ave.

Well after watching strootman in the under 21s, in my opinion he, s not the player I thought he was, he just points a lot and pulls opponents back by their shirts, I'd rather have thiago. or even better fabregas. Just my opinion guys, don't jump down my throat.

Yep seen this also, marco is a v. good prospect, and would surely develope into a very good player, especially at utd, but if I had a choice, right now, I'd put my money on strootman,

Because of the tie up between their clubs Chelsea have first refusal on Van Winkel so don't hold your breath guys.

It's where VG wants to play that's important. If MU are indeed interested then I imagine it will be down to the player, not his club where he decides to go.

One thing to think about is VG wanted assurances from Chelsea about playing time (I think), MU may be more suitable for him if we offer a better chance of playing time.

Though a different kind of midfielder, he's more talented than Strootman. I'd rather Eriksen, Thiago, or Drexler for the AMF and Fellaini for the DMF.
