So a £43m bid for Javier Pastore has been confirmed. . .

Could it be.?

What you think Ed, Sydney! Etc.? ?

MPez {Ed007's Note - Would be a great signing if it happens}

@I doubt a bid has been made in the region of 50m Euros. If it's true then the bid would have come from City or Chelsea. I'm sure Ed002 could clarify if it's Chelsea that have offered this amount. I think Sanchez & Lukaku are high on their wish list.

Ashley Young has made it clear that he wants to leave Villa to play Champions League footy, therefore if he has a choice between United, Spurs & Liverpool then it's a no brainer that he will choose United. If United could snap him up for 10-12 million, 3-4 million of it in add-on installments, then he would be a decent buy. With just one year left on his Villa contract they cannot expect anymore than £12m for him. Obertan plus £6m is what I would offer.

Sydney!

Why do you hate Villa so much that you would offer Obertan? (6m for Gabby. .dream on)

@If we got 6-8 million for a 22 year old Tosic, who never left our reserves, why is 4-6 million so unrealistic for a 21 year old Obertan who has shown many glimpses of quality since his arrival.

Obviously I'm not saying I believe all this but it is just what I was told last night by a source that I have used for a while within MUTV:

Wayne Rooney still isn't 100% staying at United next season, the club & player have agreed to sit down at the end of the season to discuss.

Danny Welbeck will not be at United next season, Sunderland have an offer of £14 million on the table for United to consider, if we decide to knock the offer back, he will go on loan there for 1 more season.

Michael Owen is set to sign a one year contract extension as Fergie sees him as a mentor for Chicharito, his contract is mainly performance/ play related so Fergie thinks he'd be silly not to keep him as Michael is happy being a bit part player for a big club like United.

I've been told not to expect many of the first team squad to leave, there's a lot of talk about Carrick, Berba, Gibbo, Nani etc. . departing but i've been told this is nonsense (especially the Nani story, which my contact believes is his agent trying for a pay-rise)

Jack Rodwell is as close to being completed as physically possible (without anything being signed) The deal to bring Ashley Young is also underway but not quite as advanced as the Rodwell deal.

I asked him about the goalkeeper scenario, but he wasn't much help with this as he listed off the usaul suspects - ie: Adler, Neuer, De Gea etc. .

Dear gan/ Ngiak.
can that 10-12 million player be Steven Defour.?
SAF long time admirer. n its not his talent but injury preventing him to be signed. .can it be him.

Awaiting ur reply.

Shaun"""
dear mr shaun,
could very well be
but initially the assumption was that it could be for a goalkeeper
once vds retires and kuszczak decides if he wants to leave, things may be clearere
as for now, its anyone's guess.
gan
ps. . so at least 2 players still on the cards for now. who knows what else may happen post season

M'Vila is suposedly being lined up for a 15-20Million and it is said as a replacement for Owen Hardgreaves (source. .Daily Mail) If this is so who will be brought in to repalce Scholes?

Also David Moyes has said that he believes Rodwell does not wish to leave Everton (source. .TribalFootball)! Not much point bringing in a player that doesn't want to be there!

Berbatov again left out of the side and this has added fuel to the growing rumours that he will not be at OT next season also with Wellbeck, Dioufe and Macheda returning from there loan spells there will be no shortage of strikers although I can see Dioufe been sold or loaned out again.
