Apparantly United have/going to lodge a bid for Julio Cesar of Inter Milan. Don't have a clue where this rumours come from, I'd rather have De Gea!

It was reported in Italy I think he may be outof contract this summer
I would be amazed if united were intrested

Agree0 Disagree0

All too often players use supposed interest from us to help them get a better contract at the club they are at whilst there is no interest from united. This appears one of those

Bit old is julio, about 2050 years at least, plus i dont think cleo, his missis will be keen on the move.

hey guys just wondering had the lad frederic veseli featured for the reserves yet? whats the story with him does he have only until the summer to prove himself? ed syd etc.?

Believable11 Unbelievable0

He's feature twice while I've been watching so maybe more. He's been good from what I've seen.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

He played central midfield in the game I saw and looks a decent footballer

never was impressed that much by a player ever in my life than i have been with this munain kid, he is pure class!

Believable40 Unbelievable6

There's a chap called messi playing for barca, you heard of him? Yes, muniain was good but talk about going over the top!

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres also a guy who plays for us, he's called park, pure class against atletico wasnt he.......

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi is obviously a much better player. But he is almost 25 and doesn't have even close to the work ethic that Munian does, the way he covered almost every blade of grass was sensational.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

He is good of course he is, looks an absolute star, but never impressed that much by a player in my life is a bit over the top that's all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I must admit he did play well against united but for me he just has one of those faces you want to punch a bit like Craig Bellamy, personally i would rather have jese or james rodriguez!

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi, ronaldo, zidane, cantona just a few players tht has not impressed u as much as muniain

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 19 aswell. If Bilbao realize how much potential this lad has, he'll have a big price tag on him for sure.

I'd have him at United.

I think alot of us on here would like a world class striker to come in and play just in front of Rooney. There's the usual names like Llorente, Cavani, Higuain and Benzema. But, do you think that a move for van Persie could be successful?

Its rumoured that he may leave in summer, he will want to be win trophies and he may not achieve that at Arsenal.

So, do you think we could sign him? After all, we did nearly sign Nasri.

RedDevil19

Believable8 Unbelievable22

Im afraid only RVP can answer that! IF he becomes available I'm sure we'd be interested. But only RVP can decide if he wants to leave, and if so, where he wants to go

Money may be a big factor IF he is open to various offers. But if RVP was to choose a certain club, say United for instance, I'm sure we could offer a decent wage and a fair transfer fee for a player with 1 year left on his contract

So in short, I think the ball is firmly in his court

Theres no doubting if we did get him and a good CM'er we'd be sorted!

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think Van Persie would even consider coming to us, i think if he was to leave Arsenal he would go abroad, my bet would he Madrid because i could see Higuian leaving this summer, just my opinion though

Things learned from last night.. We need to sign a right back, centre midfielder and world class striker to partner Rooney (whose carrying the side this year).. Park and rafael are nowhere near good enough!

Believable27 Unbelievable7

Why the sudden dislike of Rafael? He wasn't to blame for anything last night. I think a RB & LB could be signed with Rafael & Fabio remaining back-up?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

No name,

You learnt that from last night? How exactly when we played 4-5-1 could you learn that we needed somebody to partner Rooney?
Rafael has one bad game and he is nowhere near good enough?

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Love it on here, all you armchair fans
allways talking about we need to sign
someone every day. {Ed004's Note - I think the majority of people on here have stated all season that players need to be signed though. It is obvious we are currently nowhere near as good as Barca or Madrid}

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree about Rafael, he's still very young and inexperienced plus he and his brother have had alot of injuries over the last two years. Agree on the rest. Park is useless now good in the big games occasionally, woeful overall. We need a RB two CM's attacking/defensive and a ST. We could also in my opinion do with an actual left footed LM/LW. Anderson, Berbatov, Owen, Macheda, Park and Kuszczak need to be moved on permanently. Personally I'd like to see Medhi Benatia, Luka Modric, Cheick Tiote (or similar defensive minded midfielder) and Benzema signed. Unfortunately I can't see those four coming especially Benzema. I think Benatia would be a cracking signing for us but there's probably about 20 clubs interested in him so it will be a hard one. I hope we'll be after Modric in the summer.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a left back aswell...evra is just not at the races and never will be....nor is he a captain...most clubs have senne him as the weakness and are playing down that side...needs sorting big style and Rapahel as been with us 2 years and not learnt anything !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney....armchair supporters or not we watch Manutd week in week out and its not just last night..its last week , its benfica ,its Basle ,its man city at home , its Liverpool, its Barca twice in two finals..the players are not up to it...some are and some aint and fergie is pulling the same wool over your eyes...we are papering over cracks in the premiership but in europe we are well short..smell the coffee....i mentioned 6 months ago to start blooding the kids ie Pogba/Morrison/Tunnicliffe/ Keane...( we all know Morrison as gone) so let bllod these guys and meantime look to replace Scholes.... Hazzard is a great place to start watch this guy and tell me his no UTD potential

Agree0 Disagree0

It's very much a side in transition, but signings are needed imo. For me a new LB is needed, at least 1 central midfielder, and an out and out goalscorer.

I think any more than 3 signings can be considered a premium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafael is shocking wtf was he doing against bilbao on the 3rd goal? ball watching hin and fabio can go pogba is staying now hes 1 for the future lets sign inler, hazard, subotic, kyle walker, llorente then we can start to challange for trophies does anyone agree summat fishy is goin on at old trafford alex sais theres not much value in the transfer market yet players such as scott parker were available on loan view to a perm deal i reckon he has been handed money to buy players and has been told wots left when he retires he can keep just my opinon dont shoot me down for saying this but summat is goin on at old trafford and my bull#### detector has gone off

Our European form has been terrible this season and i think fletchers absence is a huge factor for this.If one looks at the 2 finals we lost to barca fletcher missed both the games and we struggled.Thats why i feel we really need a combative player in the middle of the park and pogba i dont think is the answer.so i think J.Martinez can be a great buy as he can play as acdm and cb also.15-20mil might be enough.what do u think ed? {Ed002's Note - Manchester City are looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez are the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona and Real Madrid being possible destinations. Garcia has signed a new deal at Benfica so I imagine Martinez will become a serious target for Manchester City.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

We didn't struggle against Barca because Fletcher was absent, you can forget that old chestnut right away.

They are just much better. Better and more consistent players.

Pritpal

Agree0 Disagree0

But pritpal i think you will agree to the fact that we do need a holding midfielder which we do not have and as i said our lack of a proper holding mid has time and again been exposed in europe this season by sides like basel, benfica and even bilbao and ajax.

Hi Ed, do you know of any serious interest in the Brazilian centre back Dede? I heard we sent Stam out there to look at him. {Ed002's Note - Both Milan clubs, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, Benfica and Roma have shown an interest in Dede over the past couple of years but Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich retain a serious interest in the player.}

Believable8 Unbelievable0

After missing out on Varane, this lad seems to be the next best thing closest to Rio in his prime.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dede has been scouted alot over the last few years, no idea if United will go for him though. Good player
