13 points needed from 9 games? Come on! 4 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses, and that assumes City win their last 9 games which if we're being honest, isn't going to happen. it might be a tad tedious but title 20 is on the way. Hopefully, when we win it, we'll start playing with a bit more freedom. It's a poor league but you can only play who you can play so as and when we do win it, let's celebrate in style.

If we win our next four league games then it is mathematically over, as we play city at the beginning of next month.

It's a poor league?
There's something wrong with your outlook, really.

A poor league, please tell me you're joking. Aside from utd finishing 1st, 2nd or maybe even 3rd every year, this is the most unpredictable league in the world. La liga May have Messi and Ronaldo, but only 2 teams ever have a real shot at the title.

If and when we do win this EPL title will be a momentus success for us IMO. SAF arrived over 25 yrs ago and since then has toppled Liverpool from their perch whilst seeing off the challenges of Blackburn, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and now hopefully City - one by one. Many (including me) thought City would pose the biggest threat to date, so no matter what the points difference, winning the league back from City will be another important day in our history. So I certainly will be celecrating in style :)

Don't want to get ahead of myself but winning the FA Cup too would just be the cherry on top. Three tough games to go but I'm hoping we can return from the international break a little rejuvenated. It will be a tough game at The Bridge though so one step at a time.

Here's to a good and competetive end to the season!

Chaps, when I say a poor league, there is not a stand out team this year. Everyone has struggled in Europe and even though wel clear, we have not destroyed many teams. I know many disagree, but the standard this year has not been as high as in previous years.

Agree0 Disagree0

No stand out team because the teams below utd and city have all come back stronger this season, and utd at least haven't struggled in Europe. City can't be criticized too heavily for not getting through their group given the teams they where drawn with. Arsenal did well too, as 4th/5th best team in England, losing on away goals to Munich is not bad. And we're well represented in the Europa league.

Thorne, I love your optimism. Not so long ago we had 3 of the 4 semi finalists. This year, no one in the last 8. I take the point that other teams have got stronger but I can't rate our current team as high as many of our others. I'm delighted with our position but not convinced we are the al thing just yet.

De Gea, Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Buttner, Welbeck, Giggs, Anderson, Young, Rooney, van Persie.

Surprised.

Glad to see Buttner get a crack at the whip again.

heard rumours that porto are interested in fabio as they prepare for teh sale of alex sandro. Manchester United will use this to sign rodriguez. 25mil + fabio!

I think we would get the price down lower than £25 million if we were negotiating that deal. I also would hope that we have a buy back clause in there.

Nevertheless, I think Fabio gets a chance at the first team next season.

Fabio has benefitted from going on loan this season. I'm hoping he can come back and perform half as well as rafa, who has been superb this season.

When they arrived I thought Fabio was the better player and rafa has benefitted from g nev retiring, whereas Fabio has always been 2nd to evra. Don't think he will be sold and hoping to see him progress along with buttner

Aj {Ed004's Note - I reckon Fabio would be very good cover for Rafael and could be very good competition letting them compete with each other. However, would Fabio mind being back up, I can't see him leaving the country I think both players have mentioned they miss each other}
