@It won't be Aguero as we all know what he can do so there's no need to scout him. He would also cost the best part of £60m with 200k a week wages. But I wouldn't rule out United making a double swoop for AM players just so De Gea has a pal with him at OT. It's not like we have never done it before. We bought Tosic & Llajic together. Anderson & Nani (Both Portuguese speaking). We have bought Italians in pairs too.
De Gea is worried about moving to England, maybe United raiding AM for another player would seal the move. Ed, could we be targeting both De Gea & Forlan?

@Not seen much of him, is he any good? United have no Spanish players, but do have Spanish speaking players like Valencia & Hernandez, I seriously do think United would buy a cheapish Atletico Madrid player to come to OT with him. Maybe even this Koke lad? Maybe a unheard of player from the youth who De Gea came through the ranks with? Koke came through the ranks with De Gea, is he any good Ed?
Sydney! {Ed001's Note - Suarez looks to be good, he has impressed me a few times, he scores almost every time I see him, which helps him stand out. As for Koke, I have not seen as much of him, what I have seen he looked a tidy player, but he didn't stand out.}

Martin Ferguson was at the Atletico game tonight to watch De Gea (not inside knowledge or anything sky showed him in the stands), I can't see him there for any other player except maybe Aguero? One can always dream.

SAF tried to sign Benzema and Villa for big fees in the last few seasons. I think even with the rise of Hernandez we could be looking for a top class striker.
Berbatov doesn't seem to get much trust in big games and even when he got it he didn't deliver. There are also a few clubs interested in him (Juventus and Bayern for example). So he could be off.
Don't want to say that Aguero is a possibility (probably not because of his hefty price tag) but i think a new (very good) striker is very likely for next season.

Funny how last month I posted that De Gea fee was agreed, and that it was all down to him.
Then the week after Guillem Balague tweets the same thing.
Then the News break it.
Tonight Balague says it on Live TV.

Just read that sir alex ferguson sent his brother martin ferguson last weekend to scout alexis sanchez in the game against roma but he coudn't as sanchez picked up a thigh injury during a warm up and could not play.i think this is a sign of intent to sign him, and i think sir alex will be pushing it even more after the city game.what do you think ed, syd, gan, redman, redfaith, mpez or anybody?mr Bk {Ed001's Note - the worry that clubs have is that he might not be robust enough for the EPL, missing the game might well have gone a long way towards reinforcing that opinion of him.}
