Don't know how true it is yet as this is not someone i usually hear things off, but Apparently Evra has signed a new four year deal with United, if true this is great news! !

Please ed, just to clear this up for Redfaith. (Please post as you edited out the important bit of my last comment which Ngiak has commented on already somehow without it being posted) I know the brother of an independant agent who was at the Modric meeting in Jan 2010. Thats all! Just want to clear it up. Spurs since qualified for the C/ L.
Regarding Ngiak's comment's on my last edited post. United did I believe make an official bid of approx £10million + nani for Di Maria in Jan 2010 which was turned down (thank god). In the summer he joined Real Madrid. All I was trying to point out was that including trying to sign Bale, then Di Maria, also heavily linked with Da Costa (who is popular again) all traditional Left sided players!
My comment about Obertan & Bebe being signed who are young with potential & wingers more than anything else.
My comment although glad it made you chuckle was meant slightly in that way, that in my opinion he is still looking to strenghthen the left side.
Totally agree with you on the potential coming through. In my opinion Pogba should be gently eased in before the end of the season with a couple of games. Morrison, Petrucci, Fabio and the rest soon also.

So we did bid for Modric in January? Tottenham tried for Adam and failed, that might suggest we were interested but spurs didn't get replacement so as fergie said United will wait for summer. Do you agree?

I for one, really wouldn't mind saying goodbye to Evra, don't get me wrong he's a great LB and he's brilliant going forward but i'd be more than happy to get £25 Million for him, I've got faith in Fabio and i think he's a better player than Rafael he just can't get ahead of Evra.

Do i want him too? Let's say it really wouldn't bother me too much.
Also, i think we're reading too much into Ganso going to Inter, he may just play back-up to Wesley for a few years. And you also have to look at the fact that IF the rumours of Kaka leaving are true he could be on his way to Real and theres also the fact that Barca won't pay £50 Million for Cesc, would he be a better replacement for Xavi?
So even if he is on his way out, i don't think we'll get tied into a bidding war.

reading the article, it just says he is ready for tge challenge of a big club and league like serie A and one of the Milan clubs, but he is very ambiguous and leaves tge door open for a move to any big club and team in Europe, just my understanding after reading the full interview

What Ganso said is that the Milan clubs are interested in him. No bid has been made and accepted and we all know that no matter how much interest there is until a bid is accepted anything is possible.
He also said he will like to a big club in europe. Everyone still has the chance to sign him. SAF could very possibly turn his head. Remember SAF turning Keane's head at the last minute and Dalglish left fuming? Same thing done with Ronaldo this time the victim is Wenger! Next up could very well be Leonardo who knows!

I am not criticizing and you could be right, but how do you know about the meeting with Modric mate?
Ed do you really think Ganso is being signed as replacement for Sneijder? It could very possibly be that they are planning to play him on the left in place of Pandev.
Also interesting thing out today is that Senior United scouts were present at the Napoli vs Roma game.

Sydney mine was more the budget version based on if money was tight. If that was the case i'd be happy with the players i listed. Hopefully we'd spend nearer what you suggest. But i wouldn't expect it. SSB

Partially correct, but not th full story.
Gremio did sell him cheap to Shaktar, but they included a large sell on clause in the deal, so thy will get a hefty percentage of any fee Shaktar get for him - that is the main reason he was sold so cheaply.

To butt in on the douglas discussion its my understanding that we did bid but got quoted sixteen million or thereabouts whereas he got sold to shaktar for half that. SSB

Sydney i'm expecting about twenty million to be available plus what ever sales. So tommy k and gibson which won't make a massive amount cos we'll under sell as usual. However wages won't be a problem with gary and edwin freeing up a good chunk and maybe both the owen's going as well. I'd expect no more than four players in. A budget but good keeper in adler or stekelenberg, oxlade as the potential player, charlie adam to bring in some passing and dead ball, and a box to box type maybe perhaps more on the tackling side to make up for the loss of hargreaves. Throw in the returning welbeck and cleverley and the promoted pogba and morrison and should be set. SSB
@A new keeper, two midfielders & a striker will be brought in IMO. It's almost impossible to see who we will bring in but here's what I would do;

@I wish I did my friend, I would get free tickets to see the games. It's quite easy to know if a player is on a clubs radar, they will send scouts to that players club. We have had scouts watching Shakhtar. Also Ganso would cost closer to £20m, Santos mulled over a £12m offer before rejecting. They were said to want closer to £17m but Lyon would not meet that price. Since then he has had a big injury and I believe he would cost £20m tops depending on how many clubs wanted him.

@Perhaps if you are dreaming about men, then you have far bigger problems than who City are going to buy. Only joking mate, but Pastore was never on are radar anyway, not realistically anyway. I for one would not spend a staggering £50m+ on him when you can buy Goetze, Ganso & De Gea for that amount.
