People saying SAF wasn't watching Hazard the other night......... your wrong! Hold on for a bumpy ride!

United Till I Die 1987

Believable18 Unbelievable3

How strong is our interest?

G.A.G.U.S

Agree0 Disagree0

How accurate is UTID 1987's info and whats the source of the info?? Back it up man....
HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way Hazard would come United was if one of Nani or Young was off-loaded. Young won't be off-loaded because he's only been here for a season. Last update I heard on Nani was that United were going to offer him a new long term deal to keep him at United.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's unlikely he went to watch just one player, he was probably killing more than one bird with one stone.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personnally hope he was watching both hazard and cissokho. They would be two top additions and I'd hope for maybe one more at a push - ideally Martinez but those two would make me happy enough!

Fred

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney, i think he would have gone there to watch football players not to throw stones at birds ;)

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you think he met his wife, he bricked her ;)

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney

so that is the onli way we will sign him? If nani or young leaves? Why when he plays behind the striker? Does this mean we will onli get sneijder if one of those players leaves aswell? People on here need to realise Hazards not a winger!!

Big Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye your right Big Mac,Hazard is not a winger!he plays behind the striker or as a attaing midfielder!i reckon he'd be a very good prospect!United would get the best out of him.

I think i speak for the ed's and everyone on this site that we all wish Fabrice Muamba the best and wish him a speedy recovery. Our hearts go out to him and his friends and family at this sad time. Petty rivalries mean nothing when i young mans life hangs in the balance. It's ironic that it's times like this that brings out the best in football fans. But lets just hope and pray that we see Fabrice gracing the pitch again.

Shappy

Believable55 Unbelievable2

Well said sir, hoping for a full recovery for the lad and strength for his family at this time.
Whoever pressed the unbelievable/disagree button is a complete k**bhead who does'nt deserve to be allowed on these pages and sites, worthless piece of cr*p.
HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

I also wish him and his family all the best and whoever disliked this comment should wait until he or one of his family members are critically ill and then see how he is then, the emotionally challenged s**t

Agree0 Disagree0

What person seriously hit disagree??

Robbo

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure everyone agrees with the basic message, but its not ironic

Reports in France are saying that fergy was not scouting Hazard but was at the game to watch Mathieu Debuchy
jred

Believable3 Unbelievable14

Would be an interesting move, hes 25 I believe. Versatile, was a big prospect when we was younger. I doubt we'd be looking at him IMO it would be more likely Digne or i don't see why we are disregarding anyone on the Lyon side.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanshine
it was in a couple of papers and a few websites in france so i have no idea if its true.
we could use a rb tho as raf is our only proper rb
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i've heard it too jred, tbh we're all just trying to work out why he was there. I'm just playing devils advocate! Yeah him and Giroud have done really well coming into the french national team, wouldnt be the worst signing in the world.

This is in no way related to United, But I really hope Muamba pulls through, some things are more important than football, besides the fact he was a terrific young player I'm sure he was a lovely lad as well.

PrayForMuamba.

i seriously think we should consider a bid for sigardsson of swansea? game after game he works wonders..... fit in well...? i reckon so...!!

Believable17 Unbelievable3

Motd fever?

#ags 19

Agree0 Disagree0

No, dam good player....

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to the OP, Sigurdsson was linked with a move to United a couple of years back around the time he moved to Hoffenheim. No doubt he is a good player and at a reported £6million would come with very little risk but Swansea to United is a big jump in terms of what is expected. Could he handle that?

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon, otherwise i wouldnt have posted!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did someone not give you your cornflakes this morning?

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

He was linked again when he was in hoffenheim aswell. He's definately a good player and time on his side. I would welcome the move if he came.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

At 22 he's no older than Cleverley and has done much more so he's definately got the the ability. He is a player i like alot and think he could be excellent with us. My only concern is where we would play him as he doesn't really fit into a our current system, he really needs to be part of a midfield three with a box to box type player and someone more defensive to cover.

Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer Keisuke Honda, did anyone see him against Real Madrid in the first leg? Came on with about 20 mins to go and was a huge influence! He's got great short passing, good at keeping possession and controlling the tempo of the game. Baring in mind that he's only just recovered from having an operation on his knee! Shame he strained his hamstring before the second leg. Even Ronaldo said how he's got a great left foot and would be Real's main threat..

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Big fish in a little pond. Don't think he'll have what it takes to be a United player.

If you could get one striker outside the epl to partner rooney, who would it be. It must be realistic, please dont say something like messi as it wont happen.

I would pick cavani. Absolute monster in attack and tries to get his head onto anything.
I think we need a striker that is deadly as him .

2nd choice would be benzema

TRUMORS {Ed007's Note - I'd go for Higuain, I think him and Rooney up front would be a fantastic partnership.}

Believable15 Unbelievable3

I would pick hunterlaar would be very cheap and has an awesome goal scoring record

Agree0 Disagree0

If i was to pick any striker out there, and yes it might not b the most realistic but it would have to be Villa.
He might not play as a striker for Barca but he is a natural striker! His talent is unbelievable and if we was to go for him i think he would be willing to come to us and wouldn't be to expensive. Age may be a problem though..

Higuan would be my second choice and i reckon he would fit in very well with United!

Mabzinho

Agree0 Disagree0

I would sign HULK from Porto. or Neymar

Agree0 Disagree0

Benezema - good choice? higuain, yeah, 1st choice for defo! also, hulks at ath madrid now... as for cavani, napoli's owner was on ssn the other day and said he's worth £100 mil - so he's out!

Agree0 Disagree0

From what is likely to be available i would go for higuain, if dreaming i would have neymar
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

If i was to choose any striker to play just infront of Rooney then i'd go for Radamel Falcao but seeing as he went to Athlectico Madrid for something like 38m last summer i doubt we'll be able to afford him. If RVP is available to us then he's gotta be worth a punt. As for a lesser known striker i'd go for Luuk De Jong.

Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain - he is lethal in front of goal and has a better goals/minute ration than both Ronaldo and Messi. He is also far more attainable than both Cavani and Benzema.

RedDevil19

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone of benzema,cavani or llorente.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about pato of ac Milan, over the last couple of years I think he has stagnated but he is still 21/22 years of age and still world class potential. On a different note does any body know if saf going to the Dortmund vs Bremen game tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Lavezzi for me. He is a quality striker! {Ed004's Note - He is more of a winger though...}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it would be higuain for me he's lethal.benzema would fit in aswell or just bring back Christiano Ronaldo,and give him a free role,29 goals in his last 24 games,and he has 6 hatricks already.the man is phenomenal.and then there's little Messi,23 goals in his last 24 games!genius! {Ed004's Note - I think Benzema would be more suited to our style of play}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes you might be right Ed,Benzema has pace, quicker than higuain to suit our counter attacking style...

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i think hernandez and welbeck are good enough! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster, was that a joke?cop on mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

Radamel Falcao looks good at Athletico Madric. Good age as well at 25.

Its possible that the Glazers are inthe mood for spending, recently they've paid 47.5 million on some player for Tampa Bay (i think thats the team). This could mean that they loosen their wallets in the summer and help us to have a big rebuild. Or it means that they're prioritising their American Football Team and are not going to give us much to work with.

Hopefully there will be a good figure available to us, i think that 100 million would be what we really need to bring in some quality.

Here's to the summer!

(it'll be a shame if Kenny Dogleash doesn't get much cash, the teams with average British players are relying on him.)

RedDevil19

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Whats the 47.5 million in?? Dollars/Pounds or Euro's??
It would be nice if the Glazers would commit that kind of money on 1 player for United but it aint gonna happen....
HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Wud b nice for them to stump up a decent amount of cash, the NFL does work a little differently that figure will b paid to the player over the term of his contract, so for example 50 million over 6 years

Agree0 Disagree0

As for as i know it was dollars, but that is still a large amount of money that they have shelled out. Hopefully there are some top players coming to us like Higuain!

RedDevil19

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll be lucky to get £20 million plus money generated from sales. After all, as we aree frequently told, "there is no value in the market" at the moment. A central midfield of Scholes and Giggs for next season? I hope not.
Mike B

Agree0 Disagree0

The NFL works quite a bit diierently than other sports. The 47.5 million dollars is just to the player over the life of the contract, but this full amount is no guaranteed. He might only play a year or two and see half of that money before the team cuts him.

hows it going lads just wondering what you guys think of loaning 1 of rafael or fabio next season till january?or longer? i would loon out rafael as we can play jone sor smalling there and hav fabio lb bakcup, it would give him a long run of games with 1 of the newly promoted teams hopefully stays away from injury could comeback a complete rb? because a few yrs ago i really taught him and his brother like everyone else wud be the future fullbacks but now doubting there long term futures because they don't get alot of games? wts yout thoughts on the fullback situation?
any1 else think drenthe of everton reminds them of a left footed nani? cud be worth a bid?

Believable10 Unbelievable7

I think the twins would get enough games if they could stay fit.

drenthe for me has the potential to be a good player , ive seen him play cm a lot
and he looked quite good
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Jones will eventually be Utd's capt after rooney. He has amazing potential and his step up from blackburn to england and utd has been phenominal. Rafael is a hot head but he will mature and be a decent rb. Fabio is far more defensive and a lot more composed on the ball. I still feel like we are in transition and fielding cleverly, fabio, smalling, jones, welbeck and rafael will only help us in the seasons to come. We are top of the pile, scoring for fun and still fielding these youngsters.

Pab

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I think we would struggle getting any team to take Rafael on loan with his injury problems, its a shame because we can all see the player he can be if he stayed fit. I personnaly would try to move Rafael and Fabio on, I cant see them been regular fixtures for us because of injury's. Drenthe looks decent enough, could be worth a shout....
HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

If they can both stay fit then they will both have decent careers at United IMO.

Drenthe is more Rapid Where as Nani is more slick i think, but if we was to go for Drenthe where would he play? LB/LM?..

Hi all, just wondering if you think there is any interest in stefan jovitic? From what i have heard, liverpool remain favourites for his signature and that comes from teo current players at the club. For me, he could be a great addition and is more a playmaker than a striker. Also, i think we will add three new players this summer....portugese right back, Carrico will be one of them. Any thoughts?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

How long do people think rio has left at the club and what will his next move be? also how highly did people rate him at his best?Divvy the red {Ed007's Note - I think a move to MLS in the summer could appeal to him.}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

I agree mls might appeal to him. at his peak in my opinion he is one of the classiest centre backs we have ever had.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think MLS will appeal to him, he has too much love for united to go elsewhere! I don't want to guess what he'll be doing next season but i honestly can't see him playing in MLS.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Top player in his prime IMO, not much got through him. MLS sounds about right for him to finish his career, he has a lot of business things going on including a little film/movie work so America has to appeal....
HERBIE {Ed007's Note - That's my train of thought about it as well Herbie, keeping his 'celebrity' status and mixing in the right circles for films etc.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he'll stay for 1 more year personally, to be used in rotation and help Smalling and Jones develop

Then I wouldnt be surprised if he retired, or possibly a move to the MLS (semi-retirement!) in a years time

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot to say...Rio was real class up until a year or so ago. Composed, quick, good reading of the game - he and Vidic formed the best defence in Europe in their peak IMO. It helped that they perfectly complemented each other

Gav

the only reason redknapp is declaring a strong interest in hazard is to get SAF involved. If SAF then goes for him, modric will definitely Not leave for man utd..

TRUMORS

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Thats BS mate, it's rare for SAF to go to a game himself and watch a player unless there is real interest. Even though we're not fully sure it was Hazard he was there to see? No one plays games with SAF especially not old 'arry!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh guess thats true, but im saying maybe fergie has interested in hazard and that redknapp is trying to show strong interest so fergie acts quickly. that way fergie buys hazard and therefore unlikely to go for modric as well? just a thought.

TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric is a central attacking midfielder, Hazard is a winger. Different positions so what's stopping Fergie for going for them both? We do have money to spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Manchester United will offer around £19.1m to Ajax for their young Denmark stars, 20-year-old attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen and 17-year-old forward Viktor Fischer.

ms85

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Offer £19m for both?

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

2 of the hottest young prospects in european football,we wouldnt get eriksen for that.
johndenton

Agree0 Disagree0

Was on bbc gossip site just thought id paste it up for peoples opinions

ms85

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a good bit of business to get both of them for £19.1 million however Ajax would probably want around the £25 million mark.
