Rooney maybe sold. Ronaldo to Chelsea? Bale to resign? Fergie and scholesy retired. I'm going to bury my head in the sand til this window is over. Sand absorbs tears, right? -kg

A number of newspapers saying that Arsenal are interested in Rooney. They could afford to buy him but given that the highest wage they pay is £100,000 per week not sure they'd pay him enough.

Can you clarify what you are saying here please.

Unless Arsenal are prepared to break their own wage structure there's no way Rooney will sign for them if he's offered less than half what he earns now.

Rooney will NOT sign for arsenal! If anything I think he would fit in well at spurs giving they could afford him

I don't pretend to have any inside information or any sources but I will be shocked if Ronaldo leaves Madrid. That is his childhood club and they will give him a huge contract extension.

I'd much rather he stayed at Real than signed for another English team. We all respected that Real were his boyhood dream etc. The Chelsea move would be for all the wrong reasons in my opinion. Just to say he earns more than Messi?

A good friend of mine who lives out in Spain, sky diving instructor and Barcelona fan, is under the large impression that Fabregas could be sold to Manchester United this summer. Eds have you heard of anything similar?
Thanks,
Paul {Ed002's Note - Strikes me as most unlikely he will leave Barcelona this summer.}

Apparently ronaldo is off to chelsea this summer following jose. From david Johnson, he's normally spot on with united related news. If it is true it would be a shame to see ronaldo in the prem not wearing red of united. tom17

Hasn't Ronaldo said before that if he ever does return to the PL it would only be with United? I highly doubt he'd go to chelsea.

Hate to say it but from experience of the last transfer window he has been spot on with RVP, Ravel Morrison, Pogba, Wellbecks contract and sometimes the united line up a few hours early. So going by that its highly probable that Ronaldo could be wearing the blue of Chelsea nxt season unfortunately.

That's not happening.

I think Ronaldo only said he would not play for another English team while Sir Alex was at the helm. we all know he is off so technically Ronaldo can do what he pleases. He will go where the money is. As much as we all want Ronaldo, we all know he is very much about "himself" and personal glory and recognition.

Ronaldo is allegedly selling his cheshire home and has allegedly already bought a property in london. If these two rumours are true then it would fit in with him moving to Chelsea. He did hold Sir Alex in very high regard but has no allegiance to David Moyes and he can probably see that with Mourinho at the helm and with the squad that they have Chelsea will be the dominant force next year

People are missing the point. He obviously has some links/source at United. So he may well know about deals/line ups with the club before other outlets. But a deal taking Ronaldo to Chelsea wouldn't involve anyone at Old Trafford. To know about any potential deal he would have to have a contact at Chelsea. So how often has he got deals/line ups for Chelsea right?
Agree1

This isn't United related news for starters.
David Johnson's sources at United were/are Ravel Morrison, Zeki Fryers, Danny Welbeck & Chris Smalling.
None of the above players would know anymore than we do regarding what players Chelsea will sign.

Surely Ron knows that regardless of who the manager is at United, SAF would still not look fondly upon him returning to the PL with any club other than United? I just can't see it.

there was a suggestion he was in it for the money, this David Johnson. Suggest Chelsea so people pile the money on the betting to go there all the while he is signing for UTD or PSG, whos odds will have gone out to 7. 8. 9-1 and then he cleans up!
Far fetched I know, or he could be just trying to enhance his twitter profile.

I'd hate thi to happen. If he goes to one of the petro gangs I'd rather it wa PSG and not city or Chelsea Eds do you know anything about this?
Dan {Ed004's Note - No unfortunately I think he will stay one more season at Madrid and then possibly return to the club}
Agree0

I don't think he sees eye to eye with his present coach and is looking foward to being away from him! Ronaldo isn't on speaking terms to a number of his team mates and feels he has carried them for the last two seasons.

Trust this. Davis Johnson is not wrong. He knows his stuff and tells the truth. I'd hate to see him at Chelsea or anyone else other than united

What a load of bull. How many times have that pair fell out this season? Jose is the reason Ronny wanted/wants out of Real Madrid. Jose leaves and goes to Chelsea, expect Ronny to go absolutely nowhere!
Agree0

And also kiss goodbye to premiership while he's in a Chelsea shirt. They'll clear up all the trophies.

If David Johnson is that clued up then why stick just £150 on it? This is a fella who is not short of cash.

Could he just be doing the bookies a favour in getting the punters in though? We won't know but I would have thought PSG is more attractive to Ronnie anyway, they're a stronger team at the moment and he said he hated English weather.

Ronaldo will not sign for Chelsea, nor will he return to united.
He is in an amazing contract at Madrid and will stay there until he is no longer the player he is now and take a ridiculous offer from either USA, china or Russia to play in a Mickey Mouse league to help raise profile.
I know people are not stupid but from now till the start of the next season papers need to sell, sly sports need to report something and as fans you are lying if you say you don't enjoy this rumour mill that happens every year.
And let's not forget none of this harms either the player (his agent) or the club he is linked with. It raises profiles of everyone involved.
Agree0

No name, Ronaldo looks unlikely to renew his contract and the Eds seem to think he will move next year. If that does happen then I would have thought we could afford him.
Dan

Dan the weather in Paris is not much different to here so he's not going there got the sunshine. I love Ronny to come home but he's not going nowhere. He's just after more money a real, him and morinho are not getting on. He said in an interview he don't care bout morinhos future only his and Real Madrid. The French league is poor and the only reason you'd go is money but fear not he b staying put!

Andre Villas-Boas was asked if Bale will be staying at Spurs next season and said "Yes, I think so". Just me who thinks even the manager isn't sure weather he will stay or go? Maybe we are in for a surprise with Ronaldo coming to us and Bale going to Madrid or Bale coming to us? You can only be positive about this. Thanks.
