Not at all impressed with anyone tonight. I was interested to see how Henderson did against a higher quality of midfield and he seemed pretty quiet. Certainly no different to anyone we already have. And the money it would cost to get him I would prefer Defour and Sanchez.

oh and to sum up. . . .

@Trust me mate Henderson would have played better in a better side, lets be honest Sunderland would have beat England tonight.

This maybe a blessing in disguise, put it this way, his price has not gone up 10m tonight like it could have done if he was a stand out player.

One year at United and this boy will be a quality player, if Brucey is quoting 25m then we can get him for 15-17m.

Ed wat do u think of signing pedersen hes a very good player left winger and attacking midfielder and is great at free kicks not the youngest player tho but i think he would be a good signing and cheapish maybe hes just wat we need ?

I have heard that Fergie is in Doha, not actually watching the game - although he is in the same city. There are a number of possible players he is scouting, likely to be Neymar or Javier Pastore.

Lets hope he is in Doha for that reason!

but anyway just popped into my head Manchester United need new reserve manager maybe its zidane :P i mean france are playing today why isn't he at that game?

@I am hearing United are still in contact with Santos over the possible purchase of central attacking midfielder Ganso, whether we get him or not is anyone's guess but one thing i can guarantee is if Ganso is brought in, we will be saying our goodbyes to Berbatov.

Although on paper they are different players, on the pitch they are very similar.

Ed would you take Ganso over Berbatov? And would you agree they are very similar players although they do not play in the same positions?

With the news that the glazers are paying off a large chunk of their debts and Fenerbache interested in Berbatov what more good news is there to come. .

I see a swap deal the most likely way Berbatov will go as that way they can cover their losses a little better, if they accept £20mil say for him then it is clear how much we have wasted on him, and nothing can ever be crystal with UTD.

EDITOR - United have signed another sponsorship deal with a Chilean wine company, with this and Fergie meeting the Chilean miners & the Chilean first lady, giving them gifts and box tickets for certain United games including paying for their travel, could all of this be leading to the purchase of Alexis Sanchez? It seems they are laying down some foundations with Chile ready to market are merchandise there.

You know how shrewd Sir Alex is, could this all be unfolding before our eyes? {ed's note - it might not be Sanchez, Chile have probably got the best youth system in the world at the moment, it makes good sense to get good relations in the country. Their youth teams are incredible, especially considering the size of the country.}

EDITOR - Fenerbache are apparently interested in Berbatov for around 18m, would 18m be too much for United to turn down? If an 18m bid came in from Wolfsburg (to replace Dzeko) or Bayern (to replace Gomez & Klose) do you think United could turn it down?

I like Berbatov but his inconsistency is becoming a problem, i also believe he is slowing games down for us when we have chances to break!

Could he be used as a makeweight for Schweinsteiger or Dzeko?

{Editor's Note: It also depends if the player wishes to leave - don't expect any part exchanges, they are the exception rather than the rule. I would expect that Manchester United would be looking for more than £20M for the player.}

To the guy sayin Johnny Evans would be sold. I m sorry mate he won't be sold. he was good in the last season n in the season we won CL as a back up to Rio. i think after being dropped since Rio's return. he just might work hard and get better to earn his place which more or less had become to be taken for granted for him after Rio's long term lay off.

I think our defence is still gud enough. . what we r missing is a player like Roy Keane or Owen Hargreaves. . i.e. a defensive midfielder who can tackle n help our defender n honestly we dnt hav any DM in our squad rite nw.

Scholes tries to play that role along with that of creative midfielder but somtimes seem to land in trouble with some reckless tackling. because hes genuinely a creative midfielder not a DM.

Nobody pickes up this point here so i thought of askin my fellow UTD fans

So guyzz a DM who can tackle well is a must for Man Utd. .
L. Diarra fits the bill and at 25 he is the perfect tried n tested replacement in primiership for Man Utd.
