Well, looks like it will be one in two out this week. Fellaini is off to Napoli almost certainly and Nani is being used in the Rojo deal that should happen in the next day or two.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

£4m loan fee is some going.

Rojo is a done deal! 20million plus nani on loan fir season! 1 down hopefully more to come!

Believable19 Unbelievable13

You sure? I've been hearing a lot of 'Done deals' since the Vidal saga started and still signed nobody?

Where you hearing this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabrizio romano reporting on his twitter page!
Its now on sky!
This should be finalised within a few days

Deal agreed apparently, 4-year deal with option of 5th. €20m plus Nani on loan for a season.

Well that's one done, two weeks to go, three more signings to go (fingers crossed).

Believable13 Unbelievable10

I'd be happy with another 2 myself if that signing happens, vidal a must in my opinion and another proven centre back

Agree2 Disagree0

Woody had months to get this done, and now he's cramming in the last 2 weeks. Reminds me of my university years.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hopefully he will be the 'lowest profile' signing that we make in the next two weeks.

Agree1 Disagree1

If Vidal doesn't happen then it's another failed transfer window imo. Just like last summer when we had bought Fabregas about 7 times.

Agree2 Disagree2

Could Woodward and The Glazers be that financially tight they don't want to pay extra wages?

Ie wait till deadline and save a few quid!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be happy with this. Another signing that until the very end went under the radar and was done quietly. I for one (even if I want more information) am pleased we are working this way.
Who knows who will be next!

Agree0 Disagree1

This constitutes good business. Let's not forget we signed a sensationally gifted English left back, a quality midfielder and a superb number 10 in the January sales. It's nearly £100m in commitments. I still think two/three more will arrive too.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think there maybe more than 3 signings to come and I think 4 players will leave. ando felliani lil pea cleverly

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2014 06:52:38
shouldn't go for vidal IMO, prefer de Jong proven in the prem, city missed him so much when they replaced him with garcia, vidal has never played in the EPL, veron was a risk and so could vidal be

As promised, Benatia update.
Bayern Munich are interested as is Manchester United. Mexes rumours are out of question. Bayern are relectnt to meet the asking price of Roma, but United can at least reach near the fees they r demanding. Roma are willing to sell, but its not a necessity for them. if they sell, it will be wrapped up by next week or so, as they can replace him and raise the fund to buy Jovetic. So ri8 now Manchester United are in talks with Roma to finish the transfer asap. They are hopeful of sealing the deal through a third party though. But on the other side Benatia is interested to move to Bayern. So the case is if Bayern meets Roma's asking price, its all over.
Wait for more from the same guy
Thanks

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Reports in Spain Bayern are stepping up there interest in Diego Godin so hopefully that leaves benatia for us

Agree0 Disagree1

are reporting Benatia isn't on LVG's wish list but that Rojo is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think I've read your posts before under a different name, newsdesk or something, you or your mate just wouldn't know any of that, not a rumour just a pack of lies

Agree1 Disagree2

DuatBin :
Im m just saying wat I am informed and I completely believe the same.
And u said " pack of lies". Its up to u mate. Yo believe or not.
But my sayings are almz identical to those in the papers today.
Bayern r going for God in as cheaper option and United will hold more talks with Roma today.

Sky sports are now reporting that bayern are now in talks with godin, which surely means Benatia is not going there. Woodward seriously does need to get the money spent on Benatia as he's a world class centre half which we need!

Believable9 Unbelievable9

I've read in a few places now that Bayern prefer Godin to Benatia - fingers crossed this could clear a path.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really do hope so! I feel Benatia is the exact defender we need, big, strong, quick but more importantly a leader and has experience although not too old!

Ed is there interest in falcao from any EPL clubs.
Thanks in advance

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Right now Real Madrid were looking to Falcao and that is where he wants to go. The other serious interest is from Juventus.}

18 Aug 2014 16:14:28
Afternoon Ed002.
Who are PSG trying to offload?
Have they offered any players to clubs?
Have we shown interest in any of PSg's squad?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea knocked back an offer for Oscar by saying he is not for sale last Thursday. There were no discussions about Ivanovic who has been of interest to them before. Rabiot is available but Italy would be more attractive than London as he should get some regular game time - Roma, Arsenal, Chelsea and Juve are the interested clubs - might be a bargain. Chelsea have said he would need to go straight out on loan - that probably removes them from the equation but the others have permission to talk with the player. Cavani will not be sold unless the situation with Oscar changes or a very high offer is made. Pastore has been available but offers from Italy were apparently well below PSGs expectations. It looks like he will stay unless a decent offer comes in. Lavezzi will be sold but they had no offers as of Thursday. Liverpool and AC Milan are known to be interested and have been given a price. Juventus, Arsenal and Fiorentina are seen as candidate destinations. Di Maria remains of interest.}

18 Aug 2014 18:17:49
cheers I rate lavezzi, would be a good buy when Di maira joins Psg.

Although I was not impressed by either Arsenal or Liverpool this weekend - I was left underwhelmed with our display. As many people have mentioned - we lack the attacking verve of old, too many sideways passes.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Obviously you are not a fan of the team or formation being player - and we recognise that and want to give you a place to put that right. Somewhere to share your vision of how the team should like up and who should be in it.

To that end, I can announce that later this afternoon will see the launch of a new page for Teams and Formations (where the old Teams page was). You can discuss, diamonds, triangles, icosaheda and drink virtual coffee and eat virtual biscuits (virtual sugar-free juice and virtual rusks for the early evening crowd).

I am going to provide a couple of treats to launch this all off. You will be provided with background information as to how thought control has led you to speak in series of numbers that add up to 10 (I do appreciate many modern fans struggle with this concept). Then tomorrow I will explain the views of two highly respected folk about formations and associated tactics - and I might even share my views on the benefits of asymmetrical formations.

But we will open in about half an hour with a brief item covering Subbuteo and the evolution of the football fan's hand.}

18 Aug 2014 17:48:55
Ed, Will you provide copies of Inverting the Pyramid?

Actually a very good book on tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Tactics are for wimps.}

One of my friend in Italy works for a well reputed newspaper over there. He said he can confirm that Vidal is very much interested in a move to United and its all up to Juventus now. United had a Bid of 35 million turned down.

And now they may bid around 40 Mill Hernandez for his services.
All the rumours like he passed a medical and terms agreed verbally r completely false.
He will give an update on Benatia later this eve.
Wait for that.

This man s usually very reliable and I m getting this Vidal related news from him for the first time, which had certain similarities with wat Ed002 is talking about.

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Well I think that £40 million + Hernandez is a fair deal - they should (I hope) accept that. We could really do with a good £150 million spend over the next two weeks but when you spell it out like that it is so so so unlikely.

Agree1 Disagree0

Juve don't want to sell and he's not asking for a transfer.

Not exactly a poor club as the press are making out

I don't think it will happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

Gotta say as much as I'd love to Vidal in a Utd shirt - won't believe it until I see him tearing up and down the pitch on a Saturday!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nell :
Well, Juve may not want him to leave, but as far as I am heard and I am informed Vidal would welcome a switch to OT.
Also as of today, he failed to commit his future at various occasions.
Fresh :
I too hope they accept the same. But I am hopeful on Benatia too. The update will be given today by my friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fresh :
never mind my sayings. I I am informed and I just passed it here.
Its not just normal dumb rumours at least for me. And I can't see that
"so so unlikely" happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Not heard anything about Vidal (suspect we can file him under the same heading as Sneijder, Thiago & Fabregas). however just heard a REAL rumour:

Heard this from a mate who works in the sports betting industry - Utd have offered personal terms that are acceptable to Marcos Rojo and have made an offer that is acceptable to Sporting.

The fly in the ointment however is Nani. The deal is £17m plus Nani on loan for the remainder of the season (with Utd covering his wages and an option to buy at the end of the season).

However Nani is non too thrilled about the prospect of Portuguese domestic football (something he thought he'd left behind years ago) and would much rather a move to Italy. His agent is sounding out Inter & Roma this week.

Unless Utd can stump up another £7m (making it a straight £24m cash deal) or convince Nani to go back to Sporting then no deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since the Glazers took over in 2005 £382 million has been spent on the buying players. We've already spent £60 mill this summer. Do you really think they are going to splash the cash again?

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil

Juve need the money they are an old club with great tradition but from a turnover perspective and bottom line nowhere near healthy as you imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukeshaw: don't get me wrong I would love to see him in a united shirt and I hope your mate is 100 mph right. But woodwards incompetence in the transfer market doesn't fill me with confidence. If it's a player they really want why are they p###ing about over £5m. What does he expect when spouting off about breaking the transfer record?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nell
Mate, I am not sure it will happen. But a bid will go thru and we will wait on for Juve. 3 days is all we got to wait to finish this :)

Agree0 Disagree0

man utd and napoli have agreed terms for a loan deal for felliani. pretty much up to the player. still a worry as he has said he wants to stay and prove himself to the fans.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed. Seeing as LVG used him as our plan B on sat and lumped him up top and hit long balls to. I think he needs the move for himself, as he will always be Moyes' man who represents that disastrous season of 13/14.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he does go and we do not sign a good midfielder we'll be going a step backwards imo

Agree0 Disagree1

Prove himself by standing in the middle of the pitch, marking no one, rotating on that very spot ball watching and when he does move, he tries his best to get sent off. I said well before he was even linked to our club that he is not a MU player, as did Pardoe, as did Red Man. So many disagreed with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Aug 2014 13:38:51
hes still our second best uninjured cm player behind herrera and our best ball winner so yep, step back if he goes and isn't replaced.

Agree0 Disagree2

Completely agree he is not a footballer he is just a thug every game he play in at least once he will swing an arm or elbow and it always has intent how he isn't pulled up by the FA for retrospective action I do not know

Agree1 Disagree0

2nd best uninjured? I STRONGLY disagree .

Agree1 Disagree0

mbd

I think Carrick, Herrera, Fletcher & Cleverley are all ahead of him in the manager's eyes. My eyes too.

Agree1 Disagree0

2nd best cm? Carrick is better even injured, Fletcher is miles better, hell, even Cleverly is better.

Sydney - as far as I remember most of us didn't want him, there were just a couple of people who did want him, but they were very vocal about it.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree with Sydney - Fail-iani just isn't up for the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

He proved himself to the fans on Saturday same as every game he played last season. Utter rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not fair on him to keep him at OT, he just isn't in any wa, shape or form up to the job. The fact he swings his elbows at any opportunity just adds to my dislike of him. Not a united player by a million miles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cleverly is a better player than Fellani at least he will run a bit even if he is like a headless chicken sometimes

Agree0 Disagree0

I would honestly prefer cleverly in midfield than felliani

Ed002, a few reports stating we're close to Di Maria, and that LvG actually phoned ADM himself. Has anything changed since you last said there was interest in ADM? Cheers.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed in terms of the very subjective "close". PSG are interested in Di Maria and are trying very hard to sell players to fund the deal. Manchester United will need a compelling story to persuade him to make the move if he has a choice. It is going to be a busy couple of weeks with a number of very high profile transfers happening across Europe.}

Can see Di Maria holding out until the last minute to see if PSG can raise the funds!

Just don't see him wanting to give up Champions League football.

Bet he stays at RM for another season before going next summer to PSG.

Agree0 Disagree0

Be nice if utd took advantage of psg wanting to sell in order to get Di Maria. make a bid for Marquinhos. good strong promising centre back

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather have Di Maria - It would be incredible to get a new number 7 winger that really is world class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any high profile moves to man united ed? Highly doubt it but strange things have happened maybe LVG realised how bad he needs top class additions

Agree0 Disagree0

People are saying we need CB's, CM's more urgently but if we signed someone like Di Maria, then they have the ability to stretch the game and take the pressure off of the midfield and CB. Has a knock on effect, I totally agree that we need CB's and CM but with ADM and Januzaj we have two player that could completely change the dynamic of the way we play and give the others an easier time, at the moment we don't have an outlet with pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Aug 2014 12:36:49
Ed002, If you don't mind me asking, why a compelling story?

I thought that was something one is supposed to tell his wife after a late night out with his friends?
