Rumours floating around that we have two medicals booked this week with Sergio Romero one and other for a defender. Any truth in this ed001?
I don't really rate Romero as i never found him good and was really rubbish on the penalties of Copa America Final. If DDG stays this season then I don't think we should look at any replacement for Valdes. We have Lindegaard and Johnstone if DDG gets injured. How often Goalie get injured?? If DDG goes next season then we can buy one top goalie . Lloris for me

Hi Ed, are we definitely negotiating for Otamendi? It's been talked about a lot in the media and even his agent, I only ask, because I saw a pretty reliable journalist earlier (James Ducker of the Times) saying we were not interested at all in Otamendi only last night, which obviously contradicts everything, so just wondering if you could clear it up for us all. Many thanks

I agree jamiej79 he reminds of degea when he came he's scrawny with no presence I know degeas world class now but it's took him 3 year to get there if we want to win title this year we need a ready made keeper not someone with potential

Any truth in the rumours that Utd are also interested in john stones? Could a deal happen?
Also if you have any information about what striker we are looking at, it seems like otamendi is going to happen judging by people's posts on here.
Finally - LVG said that we were in the market for 2 more players. If we sold ADM would we also look to replace him?

I'm convinced ADM will go, which is probably a good thing as I don't think his heart is in it. Hopefully that focuses LVG on a top quality forward as for all the talk of our dodgy defence, it was scoring goals that was our issue last year.
As for a CB, I am confident we will sign a top one, the window so far shows that we are on top of the situation. Fingers crossed the next week will close everything off.

I hope we sign a top striker and wonder if ADM goes that maybe we wouldn't sign a direct replacement in order to give Pereira a chance. Lvg is noted for giving youth a chance and this would depend on his judgement of what is available in the youth

Hi all,
Bit of a transfer chain reaction in the waiting.
Madrid will have a time frame of probably 5-7 days to put forward a bid for De Gea that includes Ramos in some sort of part exchange. If this doesn't happen expect United to bid for Otamendi (most prob) or Hummels and once confirmed Evans being allowed to negotiate with Everton. This will then unfortunately tempt Chelski to make a second bid for Stones (around £25 million).

had said before that we should give rm up to Aug 1 to make a serious offer for ddg and if none is forthcoming we should then tell them that we will be asking ddg to fulfill his contract after which he is free to depart with our best wishes and grateful thanks should he still wish to do so
