Modric will not be sold to anyone.
Nasri will not be sold to United because Wenger said so.
Sneijder will not be joining United because he recently commited to Inter.
Schweinsteiger recently signed a 5 year deal to keep him at Bayern Munich. He won't go anywhere.
Sanchez looks poised to join City.
The only other option in my opinion is to put Rooney in the Scholes position and sign a world class striker to partner Chicharito... Podolski/Benzema/Higuain would be nice.

Let's face it Modric just wants out of spurs. Chelsea are reported to have made an offer and therefore Modric is reported to have said he'd he happy to join Chelsea. If Utd bid as well then he has a choice of where he wants to go, rather than at the moment where it's a case of Chelsea or stay at spurs. people talk about the "scholes" replacement but can you replace the most talented player that zidane ever played against? I'm not so sure. Also which scholes do we need to replace? In his united career he's played off the striker as an attacking midfielder as an all round midfielder and as a deep lying playmaker. So thats four roles that he's played so which one/ones need replacing. Well Rooney's best position is off the striker so that rules that one out, Anderson, Cleverley and eventually Morrison are attacking midfielders and Carrick and eventually Pogba play as deep lying midfielders so i would say that most of his replacements are in the squad already. The thing i think we'll miss most about him is his perfect passing and the way he always made himself available for a pass and very rarely giving away pocession of the ball. Against barca we gave them the ball to easily we need a midfielder who's movement intelligence and passing can give our midfield the ability to compete with them. That's why the midfielder i would most like to see signed is Ever Banega, his pass and move football is superb, he never gives the ball away and is always available to recieve a pass and is strong enough to handle himself in our league. I've watch him for a long time now and feel that he is the answer i would go for. Also if there is to be a big marquee signing then i'd like it to be Hulk with Berbatov being sold and Welbeck going out on another loan to help his learning.
