Eds, if LvG does sign could you see us going for jetro williams over shaw? I think there was some interest a while back and he would probably be better value at a lower transfer fee than shaw will command

Thanks for all your work

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed004's Note - No Willems has been very poor this season and was awful at last wc. Also I think he's injured?}

ED is there any interest in Lindegaard from other clubs or will he be kept as a backup for another season?

I think he's too good a keeper to be a back up.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

{Ed004's Note - I suspect he will move on and there will be teams interested in him. The lack of game time will frustrate him}

Initially I thought Lindegaard could move on this summer, but there have been no signs of it to be fair. If I was a betting man I would predict one more year as back-up to De Gea, then he will move on. However I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him leave if he was offered a good enough deal somewhere else.

Agree0 Disagree1

If Chelsea don't loan courtious then athletico could be a good place for linderguard to move - hyperthetically

ED I heard a rumour about Liverpool being interested in Sanchez for 18 million pounds.

Surely Sanchez would command transfer fee of upwards of 30 million pounds.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed004's Note - he would cost probably just under twice what liverpool have reportedly offered}

Ok, don't shoot the messanger, but a rumour orginating from Carrington and through a couple of people to me is that Van Gaal has already signed and also a player has signed(not the young Serb), there are also two other bids for players accepted and personal terms being discussed. Now this guy in carrington is part of the Carrington staff and not a part of what you would call the staff of the football team, but saying that does work with the team when they are at Carrington. Now this is exactly the amount of info he has so he has no names or real specifics like positions but he knows all three of the players are going to the world cup due to the pace of the processes going through. Also the third transfer going through was put in and accepted last night and he thinks it was someone who played their last game for their club yesterday.
Now like I said don't shoot the messanger but this is what my dad told me this morning on skype.

I suppose this is all possible. I very much doubt we would announce a signing before announcing our manager and think we'll be doing everything to sign players pre-world cup after last summers debacle.

Players who played their last game for their club yesterday is a little vague. We could be talking anybody from Bayern, Dortmund, Real, Barcelona, Atletico, Arsenal, PSG or Monaco.

I suppose we'll know soon enough. On paper - it makes sense for LVG to be announced tomorrow. If we want to announce signings this side of the world cup I'd expect them to come at the same time or shortly after (owing to the people involved's WC commitments).

Thanks for sharing, its what this site should be about. We can only wait and see what happens but it would be good to get some business done early. I have no doubt that LvG is ours and that we are working on the Shaw deal plus perhaps a couple others. Fingers crossed we can attract the right level of quality this summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

The daily star (reliable I know) are running a story with Hummels to United, so maybe he is the player who played his last game yesterday

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure hummels is barca bound

Agree0 Disagree1

This a great rumour and something this site has been missing for a while imo.

Hopefully your right mate I do believe there is a lot going on behind the scenes atm and we are in for a summer the likes of non of us could know or expect.
It's exactly why we all love this club so much it's never boring :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca will only try for hummels if they do not get Luiz

I'd say hummels is there number one cb target. Why wouldn't he be. He's miles better than luiz. I'd imagine hummels is one of our main cb targets that Ed02 said we won't get

Agree0 Disagree0

Luiz would suit Barcelona's current style a lot better than Hummels. Hummels is by far the better player, mind.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sagna has likely played his last arsenal game

Ed, could you please give us a update on the Luke shaw situation. If there is anything to update that is. Also, is do you know of any interest in midfielders that we actually have a realistic chance of buying?

Thanks in advance

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed004's Note - There is no updates on Luke Shaw the club will be trying to negotiations an acceptable fee which I reckon they will. Can't think of any midfielders of top of my head ATM}

Thanks ed. I would've thought there'd be a lot more going on in a attempt to get deals done before the World Cup, but it all seems a little quiet

Ed, a rumour I've seen today suggests Chelsea are interested in Phil jones. Do you know of any interest?

Believable3 Unbelievable15

{Ed004's Note - There is none from Chelsea}

Jones will be at United for the rest of his Career.

Not posted for a while but have heard the deals with the most progress are Muller in and Hernandez out (Italy). Also Nani out progressing again Italy bound.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Nani Hernandez out Muller in can see that happening

Agree0 Disagree1

I can see Kroos and Robben being more likely to sign for us that Muller. Kroos seems to want the move with his contractual situation and the ed has said that Bayern would be willing to sell Robben.

17 year old Serbian goalkeeper, Vanja Milinković-Savić has signed for us from FK Vojvodina on a free. He's staying at Fk Vojvodina for a season on loan before probably replacing Lindegaard?

Cant say I've seen anything of him but we love a big Serb' and he's 6ft 7 so fits the bill nicely!
