Just realised that Petrucci isn't playing in the reserves, whilst Powell is. Could Petrucci be in the Squad for Stoke?

Percy

Believable4 Unbelievable11

I doubt it. Get a feeling he may be on the way out in January.

Dan

One thing is sure the team is suffering without him. We were going to the 80th minute trailing behind against boltons u21 ( who are just as bad as the senior side) and Powell could not dominate the game like petrucci used to.

Mick

Does anyone know if Petrucci is injured or why he has been missing the last couple of games.

if this is another youth player that goes because he was not given the opportunity to show what he can do in the 1st's it will be very disappointing...

Agree1 Disagree0

I think it maybe could do with the problem with him and Nani .. Maybe they where both given 'time outs' by the club.

I would hate to see him leave the club, another one of our best youth players go out the door

What is the thing with him and Nani?

The U21s match against bolton starts in 10 minutes. Nick Powell is starting and adnan januzaj is on the bench. Hope to see a bit of him tonight.

Only managed to catch the last 10 mins and it looked like a dreadfully slow and painful watch maybe the first 80 was better ? how stood out an done well mick ?

Bolton parked the bus and we controlled possession as per usual, but we didnt manage to create lots of chances. We lacked creativity down the middle. We were trailing 1-0 until the 80th minute.

Powell had a decent game and scored a good header but he wasnt anywhere near Petrucci's level. We were truely out of ideas and you rrarely see the u21 with such a lack of penetration.

I didnt know that Petrucci was so important to our side. Well its true that you only realise someone's importance when you lose him.

And imo Cole was man of the match, creating both goals : the first a wonderful cross to the head of Powell, the second a cross to macheda who finished brilinatly. Annd his linkup with lingard was a joy to watch throught the match.

Mick I also thought tunnicliffe had a great second half really drove at the Bolton defence when he picked up the ball and played Lingard a lovely ball too!

Right lets be sensible , everyone throwing names around who we need and dont need and whats gonna happen.

The most probale option fergie has is to use jones as a dm when possible and invest in another defender thats capable of covering across the back four!

Big V

Believable11 Unbelievable1

This is the most sense i have seen all day, Jones is perfect for that position! CB is a must for the near future!!

SJT

Agree1 Disagree0

It may well happen but he is not suited to that position at all yet, if we are to reclaim the title. He has been out for months now and he already needed to improve drastically to be at our standard.

Kevin Strootman's agent has told many reporters that Kevin "will play in the english league very soon".

The midfielder is odds on to join dutch duo Van Persie and Alex Buttner at the club in either January or Summer.

Ed, what are the chances do you think of this and if so is Utd most likely compared to any other English club?

RedKnight {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at Kevin Strootman last season but tentative enquiries were met by a reluctance to sell so soon after arriving. His performances have attracted further interest from AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Hamburg but it is Valencia and, in particular, AC Milan who were doing their best to persuade PSV to sell over the summer. I expect him to move to Milan.}

Hopefully seems good from what I've seen and her of him

Interesting that Macheda's agent has said he may leave in January if he doesn't get 1st team game time, and also that German and Spanish clubs wanted him in the summer but Utd wouldn't let him go.

Can't see any reason to keep him tbh

Pardoe

Believable23 Unbelievable2

Reading between the lines it probably means that, no one came in with anything decent so we decided to stay. Have you seen any signs from Manchester United that they want Macheda to stay? Have they made an attempt to play him? No.

Fresh!

Agree1 Disagree0

Apart from the fact that he's starting every reserve game and scoring very regularly. Although none of his goals are very skillful, SAF seems to have some kind of faith in him. I hope he goes, but maybe it has something to do with trying to get Petrucci to sign a new contract? As they're best mates.

Ozwald

Well Macheda didn't even make the bench in the last league cup match so I dont see any hope for him. King was put ahead of him and he has also threatened to leave. We also have Henriquez, Wilson and Keane coming through I see no need for anymore strikers for a very long time as long as long as no one leaves. Even if Hernandez leaves We could easily get away without bringing in another striker.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree1

I think we will sell both King and Macheda in January and bring Fisher in - may wait for this deal to happen in the summer though. Then we'd have Henriquez and Fischer starting up top for the U21's with Wilson and Keane also playing a part. Its a bit like an under 21 version of what we had in 99 LOL

Fresh!

Close the door on your way out.....never Utd quality - if he hadnt got that goal a few seasons ago against Villa he would have been long gone.
