Rooney asked Fergie for new contract talks. He wants to stay.

Id extend his contract but wouldn't giv him a penny more. he's on the same money as the boy at madrid. lude. !
With the best will in the world it's difficult to see Wayne adapting to life abroad and not surprising he wants to stay. He's allegedly on £220,000 per week now and, in my opinion, not worth anything like that. Can't see him agreeing to a substantial pay cut so there may be a Summer stand off until it's resolved. Unfortunately any delay in selling will make it more difficult to buy some of the players we need.
Does Rooney have 1 or two years left on his current contract?

I would think its rather unlikey anybody underperforming in the manner Rooney is would 'knock in' to Alex's office and let it be known he fancies another contract. Again i'm speculationg but I don't think that's quite how it works.
Let him go - mufc moves on! look at all the stars we've had previously, and who'd have thought 'last year' RVP would be bagging in the goals for us, he loves being here!
