One of the EDs mentioned that United have started looking at other keepers to replace if DDG leaves. Ed can you tell us which keepers are being looked at?

Also who would be your choice?

Obviously losing DDG would be a big blow but hopefully with our defence getting better next season our dependency on him will reduce.

{Ed002's Note - If De Gea goes perhaps Krul or Handanovic will be added - both have been looked at. Romero was looked at but as an alternative to Valdes, so unlikely.}

I would rather have Begovic than go for Krul. Havent seen a lot of Handanovic but I have heard he is good.

PLease ANYONE but Krul! He's a disaster waiting to happen! Dreadful goalkeeper!

Handanovic would a worth replacement IMO. Still young and has plenty of time to develop into a even better keeper.

Ed 002 just wanted to ask whether you know if we are still interested in Dybala and Pogba or if we have a good chance of getting a different player in midfield. Also wanted to know if we have any interest in oblak for if de gea does leave? Seems like a good young goalkeeper and another case of atletico Madrid having a good young goalkeeper like they have been known for in the past few years. Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Palermo are struggling to have Dybala sign a new contract but have made it clear that they will sell for €50M but will accept a single payment of €40M - a fee which will put off most clubs. His agent has been acting in an unprofessional manner and offering him to various clubs. Juventus, Inter, Dortmund and Arsenal have a declared interest. Juventus are looking for talks with the player and his representative and have put an offer on the table that includes players and a little cash. Arsenal have made a cash offer but it is short of what Palermo are looking for. Chelsea have also made an offer that is not acceptable to his club. There is also interest in him from Spain, Atletico Madrid - and if Barcelona can raise the funds in the summer to start their rebuilding programme, then he will wait for January as both club and player would like a deal. Manchester United have no declared interest in Dybala.

Chelsea remain keen on Paul Pogba and would like to strike a deal for the summer - but are aware it would be very difficult and have someone else in mind as an alternative. Again, Manchester United would like to strike a deal but I suspect the chances of a move is near zero and they are probably right out of the picture - likely knowing it would never have happened in any case. Although Real Madrid moved on from their previous interest, there is every chance still of a summer offer including players in part exchange. PSG and Manchester City are in a difficult situation with UEFA and subject to financial sanctions but both may well try to sell to raise the funds for Pogba or offer players in exchange. PSG have put an offer on the table to Juventus but it was not acceptable as it included Verratti and Cavani - but Juve are looking to a deal they can control (but they may still take Verrati as a separate deal). Although Barcelona are unable to sign players before 2016 they will go all out to strike a deal now for next January as their rebuilding begins. They will be strong financially and will look to sell one or two high-value players to help fund the rebuild.}

I'd be interested in knowing why you think United are right out of the picture with zero chance for pogba ed? SAF influence?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are not part of the picture at all right now - uit is not going to happen.}

Outside of their front three and Iniesta, I can't think of too many "high value" players that they would sell.

002, may I ask which players from Barca are going to be made available?

{Ed002's Note - Try the Barcelona page MPez, that is why we have it.}
